紫竹梅
Tradescantia pallida

紫竹梅（学名：Tradescantia pallida (Rose) D. R. Hunt）是鸭跖草科、紫露
草属植物。多年生草本。成株植株紫色，草高 20-50 厘米；茎多分枝，带肉质，紫红
色，下部匍匐状，节上常生须根，节和节间明显，斜升。叶无柄，单叶互生。花粉红
色或玫瑰紫色，近无柄，数朵密生在二叉状之短缩花序柄上，呈簇生状于总苞片内；
总苞片叶状，长约 7 厘米，顶端具白色长柔毛；萼片 3。果实和种子蒴果椭圆形，有
3 条隆起棱线。种子呈棱状半圆形，淡棕色。花期 7-9 月；果期 9-10 月。

原产于墨西哥。中国各地栽培。喜温暖、湿润、半荫，不耐寒，忌阳光曝晒，最
适生长温度 20-30℃，夜间温度 10-18℃生长良好，冬季不低于 10℃。对干旱有较强
的适应能力，对土壤要求不严，适宜肥沃、湿润的壤土。

叶色美观，为观叶植物，可用于庭院的花坛、园路边、草坪边或用于镶边植物，
或植于石墙的石隙中用于立体绿化，也适合与其他色叶植物配植营造不同色块景观；
盆栽可用于居室绿化。全草可以入药，具有活血、止血、解蛇毒之功效，主治蛇泡
疮、疮疡、毒蛇咬伤、跌打损伤、风湿等症。

Origin: Mexico

Height: Stems grow upright, then eventually trail over the side of the pot, up
to 2 ft (60 cm) long.

Light: Bright light is needed to maintain the dark purple color. Some direct
sun is fine, but keep your plant shaded from strong summer sun. Long
spaces between leaves indicate Tradescantia pallida needs more sunlight.

Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the top 1 in (2.5 cm) to dry out
between waterings. Water less in winter when growth is slower. Limp, wilted
stems may be a sign of root rot; cut off entire stem at the soil level.

Humidity: Average room (around 40% relative humidity). Brown leaf tips

Temperature: Average to warm room temperatures (65-80°F/18-27°C) suit
this plant year-round. Purple heart tolerates varying temperatures with a
minimum of 50°F/10°C in winter. Keep out of drafts from doorways and
away from heat/AC vents.
