蜘蛛兰属于石蒜科，螫蟹花属，年生草本，地下具有球形的茎，其直径约 7-11
厘米。叶丛出，具短柄，叶片长剑形，柔软，肉质性，深绿色而有光泽。
多年生草本，石蒜科水鬼蕉属。地下茎球形而粗大，外被褐色薄片，叶狭长线形，长
约 70~80 厘米，向四面生长且略弯曲，夏季开花，由基部抽出扁圆形的花轴，花白色
星、形，每花有 6 枚细长的花被，花被基部有白色蹼状物连结。一般易与文珠兰混
淆，但文珠兰叶片较宽，且花被基部无蹼状物，适宜植于日照充足而温暖处。
