That’s where Soundcheck comes in.
Soundcheck is a FREE to air LIVE music netcast, streamed to Facebook Live.We’ve got rock, pop, indie, grunge, jazz, nu-wave, old school, folk, rap, hip hop, trip hop, metal and punk.
Catch it live if you can, but Soundcheck is available on demand too.
This brochure gives you the who, the what and the when.You supply the ‘where’ - it’ s wherever you are with your laptop or smartphone. And it’s all FREE.
But that’s not all
If you love live music - and we do - you’ll be thrilled to hear about our venue shows as well as our Facebook Live shows.

HOW TO VIEW
All our FREE online gigs are LIVE on www.facebook.com/visualradioarts
A day or two before the event you will see a facebook post for the gig with a ‘Get Reminder’ button to click which sends you a noti cation a few minutes before the gig is due to start.
We start with a quick glimpse of the band getting ready ...and then the titles roll. Next the presenter introduces you to the band ...and the gig starts!
You can also watch the LIVE gig on our website www.visualradioarts.co.uk
It’s always more fun to watch the gig LIVE. but don’t worry you can catch it later... the videos will still be there for you to see whenever you are ready.
Afterwards we edit the audio and create a studio version of the video which we post onto our website a few days later. www.visualradioarts.co.uk

Chloë is a Somerset musician, singer songwriter and keyboard player.With emotive songs driven by metaphorical lyrics, delicate harmonies and
a stunningly unique vocal, it is easy to recognize why Chloë Warren is so well established on the UK music scene. Her latest EP “White Noise” was described as “sounding gorgeous’ by BBC Introducing.

Pride without prejudice
In an unsettled world where politics has gone mad, it’s time for music to take a stand in celebration of diversity, human rights and equalities.
Bristol based Human Bones is a 2 piece band mixing rock music with punk, pop, garage-rock and Americana in uences.
Support by Sober Son and Sara Vian in aid of MOAS (Migrant Offshore Aid Station).

SUN 9TH JULY - 7:30PM
North Sea Radio Orchestra
Led by guitarist Craig Fortnam, NSRO return with their fourth album ‘Dronne’ featuring the beautiful voice of Sharron Fortnam. ‘Dronne’ marries disparate in uences like Robert Wyatt, Britten, Vaughan-Williams, Cardiacs, early Kraftwerk etc

MON 10TH JULY - 7:30PM
Ange Hardy
Celebrated by The Telegraph as “one of Britain’s top folk musicians” Ange Hardy is currently touring with three different guitars, a bag of low whistles, a bodhrán drum, a tambourine, a 27-string Salvi Harp and a shruti box. Combined with her innovative use of live looping for vocal harmonies she’s one of the most diverse solo-artists you’re likely to encounter.

Rita Lynch Band
“A legend on the Bristol scene, Rita’s songs are an explosion of sexual, religious and social imagery driven by an energy that comes across just as strongly in an acoustic set as when Rita performs with a band.” Rita’s accompanying musicians are MikeYoué (bass) and John Langley (drums).

Frequency Cowboy
Frequency Cowboy is the nom de plume for Sam Hurt, multi instrumentalist and singer/songwriter based in Bristol and Wells. Inspired by classic songwriting of the late 20th Century (Beck ,The Police, Northern Soul), he sings about loss, hope and longing.August 2015 saw the release of the lo- sounding ‘First Four’ EP. Sam enlisted the help of Bath based producer Stew Jackson (Massive Attack) and the result was a three track EP This Is.

The Brackish
The Brackish are a thrillingly unique instrumental band formed in 2013, featuring alumni of This is the Kit, Zun Zun Egui and The Liftmen.At the core of the music are tight arrangements combined with improvisation, featuring interplay between two distinctive guitar voices.The broad vocabulary of the music - psychedelic, metal, jazz, kraut ... - echoes Steve Reich, Sabbath, Can and Tortoise.

Ghost of the Avalanche
Noise-punk duo from Bath, UK with a perverse sense of what the word ‘pop’ means. Catchy tunes played at blistering speed, reminiscent of early The Mis ts crossed with The Bronx and DFA 1979. Stripped back punk rock.

Vivid Vague
Vivid Vague are a haunting band from Devon, fronted by Michelle Dilling (Vocals) with Nathan Gregory (Guitars), Simon Hodgkiss (Drums) and Sam Orchard (Bass).
Starting life in 2015 as a grunge rock out t they have honed their sound into the more subtle and delicate tones that we hear today but still with some dark edges.

Gina Valerie & The Company Of Men
Take one amazing voice, add a healthy measure of glamour amd sprinkle with sass.Accompany with a big chunk of healthy rock ‘n roll, a liberal serving of bass ‘n drum and lace with reggae, punk and funk. Serve hot and stand back. Whatever happens... it won’t be ordinary.

Azhaar Saffar & Global Wave
Azhaar Saffar trained as a concert violinist at the Royal Northern College of Music. In 2000 she formed Brazilian jazz fusion band Sirius B. Post Sirius B,Azhaar got together with a host of Nu world jazz musicians and created Global Wave and they will be releasing their rst album later this year.

Village Hall Feedback is a UK indie rock band that WRITE and play original songs. Citing in uences from the Foo Fighters and Radiohead, right through to Pink Floyd and Rush, they play songs about love, in delity and white collar criminals.

Hidden Gentlemen
A 3 piece Alt. Pop/Rock band from Somerset.Their core sound is made with the classic 3 piece rock line up of Guitar, Bass and Drums with all members singing. Mark grew up singing to classic rock which is re ected in his natural raw voice drawing relation to Free and David Bowie. Greg has a great natural feel to his bass playing managing to play harmonies to compliment Mark’s guitar while locking into the deep groove Kyle lays down.

Nerea Bassart
Nerea Bassart is a songwriter from El Vendrell (Catalonia,Spain) with an acoustic solo project.The original songs have a connection with the sound of the 90’s rock music, but in an unplugged context.
The new album called ‘Lucid Dream’ is going to be released in August.
