history where telling the story of the villagers in the area
of Suso Subdistrict who have made a career in producing
mangrove charcoal which is the foundation of the Palian River.
Everyone will learn this invaluable local wisdom through the
replicas of the villagers. It tells the story of charcoal production
from taking a boat into the forest to cutting trees until
bringing the wood into the charcoal furnace. The surrounding
area consists of the building and ancient charcoal furnaces.
It can be considered as a trace of history that allows the new
generations to clearly learn the way of life of their ancestors.

{ Pak Meng Beach, Half Moon Beach

Pak Meng Beach is located in Mai Fad Sub-district, Sikao District, It is about 35 kilometers distance from
Trang City. It is a famous beach and popular with tourists, so you can call it the first place that people often
miss when visiting Trang. The beach is charming, beautiful and quiet atmosphere. When the sun goes down,
it's a time of happiness. In the middle of the sea, you will see large and small islands that look like people
lying on their backs. It is called 'Khao Meng' or 'Koh Meng', which is the origin of the name Pak Meng Beach.
Pak Meng Beach also has a pier which is a port for picking up - sending tourists to various islands as well.

Hat Chao Mai National Park covers an area in Sikao and Kantang districts. The beach is 20 kilometers
long. This beach has fine, soft sand, easy walking, and clear water. It is very suitable for swimming because
the water is shallow and has a large area. In front, you can see Libong Island. The back part is a grove of
pine trees which is very shady. It can be called a paradise for sea lovers. If you walk to the end of the beach,
you will find Khao Chao Mai, a mountain which is shark dorsal fin shaped. And there is also Chao Mai cave
with stalagmites and stalactites of various styles to see as well.

Ban Thung Thong, Moo 7 Kao Mai Keaw sub-district,
Si Kao district, Trang province is a coastal community in the
Andaman Sea and looks like a long cape extending into the
middle of the sea. This is a small community that protects
the mangrove forest by itself and becomes a natural classroom.
It is also the first demonstration mangrove forest in Thailand.
Who know that this great learning center has a spectacular
sunset viewpoint, which is Ban Thung Thong Samakkhi Bridge?
The old bridge that villagers traveled. The moment when the
golden light reflected on the surface of the water as if time
had stopped. There is nothing more interesting than the picture

อ�ำเภอห้วยยอด เป็นอ�ำเภอเก่าแก่
ของจังหวัดตรัง ห่างจากตัวจังหวัดประมาณ
28 กิโลเมตร ท่ีชื่อนี้ เน่ืองจากภูมิประเทศ
ของอำ� เภอ มี “ล�ำห้วย” ต่าง ๆ ซง่ึ เป็นสาขา
ของแม่น�้ำตรัง ส่วนค�ำว่า “ยอด” หมายถึง

ทะเลสองห้อง เป็นแอ่งน�้ำธรรมชาติกว้างใหญ่คล้าย
ทะเลสาบ มีภูเขาโอบล้อม อุดมสมบูรณ์ด้วยต้นไม้นานาพันธุ์
ตอนกลางของแอ่งน้�ำมีเขาย่ืนออกมาเกือบติดต่อกัน ท�ำให้น�้ำ

Talay Song Hong, the water basin

Talay Song Hong is a vast natural basin similar to a lake
surrounded by mountains abundant with a variety of trees.
In the middle of the basin were horns protruding almost in a
row. The water in the basin is divided into 2 parts, which is
the origin of the name. “Talay Song Hong”. Lakes are usually
located in plains or lowlands but Talay Song Hong is located on

It is a learning center that has received the attention of many tourists, both Thais and foreigners. This place is a learning center for Thep Karo woods which
are trees that are abundant in Huai Yot District. The owner is Mr. Charun Kaeola-iat, a former government teacher who built Wang Thep Taro with the Philosophy
of King Rama IX, resulting in a dragon sculpture. They used a total of 2 million kilograms of Thep Taro woods within an area of 25 rai because the dragon
represents energy and power. Currently, Wang Thep Taro has a total of 89 dragons, equal to the age of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej for in Remembrance
of the King Rama IX.

able handicraft that uses spirit and love to weave. Nowadays, the person
who is the main force is Khun Ar-rob Reungsang, President of Na Muen
Sri Cloth Community Enterprise, who inherited from Khun Kusol Nilla-or,
Founder of Na Muen Si Weaving Group. They have inherited and pushed
the Na Muen Si woven cloth to remain in every era. Moreover, Na Muen
Sri Group has extended various products to be more useful in daily life.
For example, loincloth processed into umbrella, bags, hat and headband
for adding value to the product. One piece of woven fabric is made with
intention, patience and meticulousness in every process. A woven fabric
are not only handicraft, but also has been related to the way of life of
Na Muen Sri People.

HatSamran District
