The Application deadline for Chipola College’s Fall 2022
Associate Degree Nursing program has been extended from
Wednesday, May 11 to Wednesday, June 1.
All prospective students are encouraged to apply for
admission by 4 p.m. on June 1. Applications should be emailed
to Samantha Skipper at [email protected]. The Associate
Degree Nursing (ADN) program is nationally-accredited by the
Accreditation Commission for
Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Chipola to Host New Dual Enrollment Summer Academy
Chipola College will host the first ever Dual Enrollment Summer Academy beginning June 6.
The academy runs for a total of 6 weeks, Monday through Thursday. Students can enroll in as many as three courses.
Chipola’s Dual Enrollment Summer Academy will give high school students the opportunity to get a head start on their
college education at zero cost. Students who complete two summer academies can save over $2,000 in tuition and are better
prepared for college courses.
Students can choose from several general education courses in addition to (SLS1101) Orientation, which is required for
first time college students.
To be eligible to register, students must be officially enrolled a public high school,
private school, virtual high school, or home-education program within Chipola’s 5
county district.
New dual enrollment students must apply for admission to the college before they
can register.
The Testing Center offers the PERT (Postsecondary Education Readiness Test) in-
person or online. High school students interested in Dual Enrollment, should contact
their high school guidance counselor to start the PERT process.

Charlotte’s Web Opens to Rave Reviews
Chipola College Theatre Department opened the children’s
production Charlotte’s Web: The Musical on May 9th to rave reviews
by area school children- the very best audience by far!
This beloved children’s musical is the story of an affectionate,
sometimes bashful pig named Wilbur and a spider named Charlotte.
This story of friendship, hardship, and the passing on into time, E.
B. White reminds us to open our eyes to the wonder and miracle
often found in the simplest of things. Final performances were held
May 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Theatre.

Dennis Kosciw Wins Chipola Faculty/Admin of Year Award
Dennis Kosciw, Director of Facilities and Campus Operations, has been
named the Faculty/Administrator/Other Professional of the Year for 2021-22
at Chipola College. Kosciw received his award at Chipola’s 2022 End of the Year
BBQ to a standing ovation from his peers.
Kosciw has worked at Chipola since 1998 in the maintenance department at
Chipola and was promoted to his current position to lead the maintenance team
in December of 2019. Dennis is well known on the Chipola campus for going
above and beyond to get the job done!
Dennis Kosciw’s daughter, Kaitlyn, is a 2017 graduate of Chipola College.
The Faculty/Administrator/Other Professional of the Year award provides a
$1,000 bonus, and a $100 gift certificate from the College Book Store reserved
parking for a year. The award is selected from among the monthly winners.
Indians Sweep St. John's River In Marianna Regional Chipola Students Recognized
for State and National Awards
The number two Chipola Indians defeated St. John’s
River, 11-0 in five innings, on Saturday, May 7 to sweep the
Marianna Regional and move to 41-12-1 on the season. Coach
Jeff Johnson’s squad will now advance to the Championship
Round of the FCSAA/Region VIII Tournament in Lakeland
on May 12-15.
Chipola will face College of Central Florida at Noon
CDT on Thursday, May 12 in the opening game of the four-
team double elimination tournament.
Lady Indians End Season At 40-11
Chipola was eliminated from the FCSAA State
Tournament on Sunday, May 8 after falling to Pensacola, 6-0.
