TRIO SOCIETY POP TAB PANDEMONIUM

The Chipola TRiO Society club recently conducted a“Pop Tab
Pandemonium”initiative benefiting the Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Northwest Florida.

Employees and students across campus collected tabs- collectively,a total of
34,849 (22 pounds) of tabs were collected.
Winners were presented at Spring Fling. Congrats to Tina Stephens, Chipola
Cafeteria for 1st place; 2nd Karen Bradley, Testing; 3rd Mary Bruce Hamilton,
Public Service; 4th Cindy Croxton, Financial Aid; 5th Kim Collins, Student Affairs;
6th Bobbie Peace,Custodial;7th Hannah White,TRiO Society;8th Anita Pierce,Fine Arts and 9th Helen Cauraugh & Anna Stephens.
The Pop Tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida by TRiO Society Sponsors,
Kristie Mosley, Angie Tyler and Maranda Weathers.Tabs will be recycled, generating funds to support the House and the nearly 1,100
families served each year.

The Indians fell 69-62 to Eastern Florida State in the semi-finals of the
State Tournament on March 8.
The Indians beat Palm Beach 75-72 in the first round of the tournament.
Chipola finished 27-5, ranked ninth in the country, but did not receive a bid to
the NationalTournament. Keishawn Brewton and Bitumba Baruti were named
to the All-Tournament Team.Brewton was also named All-State.
