(Georgia Best ePortfolio): Goals

August 18, 2017

Throughout my life and mostly my high school years I’ve set upon goals for
myself in which I seek to accomplish and be. These goals consist of two-year and
five-year goals that vary academically and personally. First as I will be graduating
from North Forsyth High School on May 26, 2018.

My plans after graduation are to attend Full Sail University and pursue a
career in the music business. After receiving my bachelor degree in music
business, I plan to fulfill a career in the music industry as a Agent/Business
Manager for artist. Learning every business aspect within the music industry such
as Booking tours, advertising, merchandising, and managing sales as a sales agent.

My portfolio includes a summary of my qualifications. Within my portfolio,
I have included a resume, letter of application, and a follow-up thank you letter. I
have also included my work philosophy and the plans I have to achieve my future
goals.

I plan on achieving this career by doing my part in being the best I can be at
my work. This pathway helps me in understanding the basics of the computer
science knowledge that is useful for understanding the mechanics, engineering, and
skills that are found and helpful to have in the Music Industry Business. By
attending Full Sail University I’ll be working on achieving my goal starting off by
obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Music Business.

There are many responsibilities, expectations, and work ethnics that are
important for an outstanding employee. An outstanding employee always has to go
above and beyond of what is asked of them so that they can make an impression on
their employer. This is very important to do because if you do this then the
manager or whoever is above you in the company will take notice and probably
reward you in some way.

Some responsibilities are that you always have to do what you are told to
do, and you need to do a good job. If you always do what is asked of you and do it
with a good attitude and make a good job of it, then you will gather notice from
your superiors. This helps with promotions and future job opportunities, because
an employer will always go and look for the best employee that, does the most
work.

Expectations of outstanding employees are that they always go above and
beyond in every aspect of their work environment, they will always go and do
things that are not asked of them and they will never do it just to try to get attention
for it. This really shows employers that an employee is not there just to get money
and go home, it shows them that they want to be a good employee and move up on
the figurative ladder that is the company.

Work ethics are another very big factor when becoming an outstanding
employee, it is very important to have a good work ethnic because without it there
is no way of moving up in the work force. Good work ethics are very hard to

developed, it is better to already have a good work ethic, but that is something that
is developed over a long period of time through lots of work and determination.

My personal characteristics are not like this at all, I tend to just do what I
need to do to get what I want. So in some classes I’ll do the bare minimum to get a
90 or and 80, but others ill work really hard to get a 90 or an 80. I also try not to go
above and beyond because if you do that at school there is almost no benefit, and it
becomes expected of you, so then you are doing so much extra work for 0 payoff.
