From the Editor’s Desk,
Friends, we are Honoring our District Governor today, and on behalf of Lady Lions of District 3231-A1, I hereby sincerely thank our District
Governor Lion Divyeshbhai Shah for giving us an equal opportunity to “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change” as this is the theme for
International Women’s Day 2019 which happens to be today. Our First Lady International President Lion Gudrun Yngvadottir did believe in
herself at every step in Lionism, and did everything possible to help forge a more gender-balanced Lionism Globally. Women have come a long
way , yet there’s still more to be achieved !
We would like to extend our appreciation for the amazing work done by you Sir, this Lionistic year 2018-19. The endless hours that you spent
working on different activities in Lionism, and the professionalism that you brought to it only goes to show how dedicated you were in wanting to
achieve the best for District 3231-A1. Thank you for your endless patience, motivation and persistence which helped Lions to rise and soar.
We join together in wishing you and your family every success in many exciting new ventures.

International Twinning with Lions Club Of Babulnath & Lions Club Of Menomonie, # 10712A, Wisconsin, USA District 27-E2
In July 2018, my husband Lion Purvez Patel and I visited our friends in Menomonie, USA. Menomonie is a quaint city in the state of Wisconsin, with a
population of about 15,000 people. Our hosts Lion Jon Hove and his wife Martha introduced us to fellow senior Lion James Wahl and his wife Laura. We
visited many projects which the Club had undertaken. Since open space is no problem in Menomonie, and spring and summer days are very few with
warm weather, naturally people would like to be outdoors. Hence, they have done very good outdoor projects, naming a few: Lions Game Park, Nature Trail,
Athletic Track, Community Centre for Veterans. Apart from that they regularly hold camps for kids, for handicaps, for diabetics, for distributing eye glasses
and for giving scholarships for the deserving children, and many more. We apprised them about our Lions Club of Bombay Babulnath projects and
activities. Our land mark projects like upgrading of Orthopedic surgical operation theater at Masina Hospital, Neo Natal equipment given to a Ruxmani
Hospital, Dialysis Machine installed at Elizabeth Hospital, Child Infancy program for Hearing impaired children, Anaj Daan (rice & daal distribution) on
monthly basis to poor and needy, Setting up computer room with all necessary equipment in rural area and many more. We had a very enjoyable time with
Members of Lions Club of Menomonie.
