Writers Group—Are you an aspiring author? Have you ever been published or want to get published?
This group meets on the 1st Saturday of the month at 1:30PM. They strive to provide a nurturing environ-
ment for writers to receive feedback, improve their skills, and encourage publishing.
Book Club at the Brea Senior Center —Meets at the Brea Senior Center on the 4th Wednesday of each
month at 10:30 AM.
Brea Book Club—Join our newest book club which will meet here at the Brea Library on the 2nd Thurs-
day of each month at 4:30 PM.
One-On-One Beginning Internet — Sign up for a free one-on-one tutorial to get you started searching
the Internet on Tuesdays at 11:15 AM. Pre-registration required.
Microsoft Office Assistance— Do you need some help with writing a resume? Putting together a
spreadsheet? Making a flyer? Library staff is offering one-on-one help using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Make your reservation today at the Service Desk.
Especially for Children & their Families
Family Storytime—Join us Saturday, April 16th at 11 AM for a special Earth Day themed storytime. This
storytime will feature books and a craft that focus on the environment. Children of all ages are welcome to
attend.
Parent/Child Book Club— A book club for children ages 8-12 and their parent or guardian. Beloved chil-
dren’s books and thoughtful discussion questions will make each book club meeting a fun and insightful
experience for children and parents. The book club meets at the library on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
from 6:00 – 7:00 in the evening. For more information or to pick up your books, see library staff.
Stories and Crafts—Join us for a storytime designed for older, school-aged children held on the 1st
Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM.
Donuts with Dad— Children and their dads are invited to visit the library Saturday, April 2nd at 9 AM for
fun stories and yummy donuts. Older and younger children are welcome to attend. Moms and all other
caregivers are invited too!
Read to the Dogs—Join us on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM to read to a trained, gentle
therapy dog. Come meet our favorite furry friends!
Family Craft Night—Come to the library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM for a fun-filled
craft program for the whole family!
Baby/Toddler/Preschool Storytime – Stop on by at 11:00 AM on Mondays for this popular program,
which includes stories, songs, and activities to help develop early literacy skills. Designed for children ag-
es 0 to 5, all are welcome and no prior registration is needed.
Homework Help—Do you need a little assistance completing your homework? Kids in grades K-5 can
drop by on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between 3:00 and 5:00 PM to receive help from local
high school students. Bring your assignments and all needed school supplies with you. (This is not tutor-
ing—just help with specific assignments.)
Especially for our Teens
Teen Advisory Board (TAB) - Want to learn more about the library? Earn volunteer hours? Be a leader
in your community? Join the Teen Advisory Board and help plan activities. The Board meets the 1st Mon-
day of each month at 4:00 PM.
