EPCC TULIP

Project Overview

TULIP is a codename for NPS36 Pulau Indah Lateral
Pipeline project by PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB).
The project consists of a new 42km underground
pipeline connecting the existing pipelines of
Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU) II to a new power
plant located in Pulau Indah by Pulau Indah Power
Plant Sdn Bhd (PIPP). PIPP plans to build and
operate and a 1000-1200 MW dual-fired combined
cycle gas turbine (CCGT) utilising natural gas as
main fuel and distillate as back up fuel.
Suruhanjaya Tenaga has agreed the natural gas will
be supplied by PGB via TULIP pipeline.
Axianergy (M) Sdn Bhd has been awarded with the
contract to engineer, procure, install/construct and
commission (EPCC) the TULIP project which
schedule to receive its first gas on 24 December
2022.
