The 3rd game of the 1944 season was played at Bloomfield Stadium, with Bloomfield being the opponent (of course). This is a repost utilizing the "anyflip" service, which allows for "page flip" type viewing of the football program, along with downloading of the high resolution scanned football program as one pdf file. High magnified viewing and page printing of the football program are available, as well.

The game was not played at Foley Field since William Foley was actually coaching the Bloomfield Football Team :-). This program is full of history pertaining to WWII. There is an interesting write-up about General Eisenhower, along with entertaining war advertisements. The cover is colorful and patriotic. Some football action photos also exist within the program.

As far as the game is concerned, Belleville gave it a good try, but Tripuka seemed to be the difference. What I find interesting is Belleville does not list the height and weight of their players, while other teams do. Bloomfield had a number of players that were close to, or over 6 feet tall. Familiar Belleville names are listed, such as Herman Wische and Doc Brown. The team rosters seem to be listed for both teams in their entirety, so if you see a name of a family member…feel free to share.
