2 Integrity Matters  |  September 2018

With stunning views, this unique, waterfront home situated
110-feet above the seashore on Long Island Sound is exposed
to very strong winds, rain, snow, and other natural elements.
The house also needs to stand strong against a range of
environmental threats including erosion, ocean sprays, and
temperature differences between winter and summer months.
As a result, the windows and patio doors needed high tensile
and flexural strength properties, energy efficiencies and a
durable, exterior finish that required very low maintenance.
The major focus was protecting the seaside home and its
structure from the elements while maximizing both natural
light and panoramic ocean views. This was accomplished
with double the wood posts, hurricane connection tie-downs
between roof and framing and laminated beams to achieve
large window openings. Integrity All Ultrex® Casement,
Awning, Single Hung, Double Hung Windows, and Sliding
Patio Doors were used exclusively for their ability to stand
up to the harsh coastal climate. There are large windows on
the north façade and the Sliding Patio Doors open up to an
extended mid-level deck, which allows for great vistas.

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

Fundraisers

Our Special Events Committee (SEC) along with our
5K Committee have been very busy the last few months
organizing and assisting with many of the events occurring at
Integrity. Fundraisers in support of employees experiencing
difficulties continue this fall with sloppy joes and chips in
August, pizza and samosas in September, and chili in October.
Your support and participation in these fundraisers are very
much appreciated by affected employees and their families.

The fundraising and participation does not stop at the
internal level. SEC team members go out and represent
Integrity Windows and Doors at community events such
as the Corporate Cup hosted by the local Chamber of
Commerce, Derby Car Race for the local Veterans as
well as at several United Way initiatives. Roanoke hosted
a pancake fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals Southwest Virginia and nacho fundraiser for the
Wounded Warrior Project.

The Integrity 5K will be held Saturday, September 8, with the
kids' race starting at 7:30 a.m. followed by the main event at 8
a.m. If you missed the initial registration deadline, fear not! You
can register to participate or volunteer the morning of the race.

Popcorn, Popcorn and more
Popcorn!

As a treat to the employees, Integrity
(ND) has invested in popcorn machines.
Several times a month, you can hear the
popping of popcorn and hundreds of
bags being filled. There is nothing better
than the smell of popcorn filling the
hallways and office areas.
