The New Adviser Training course aims
to ensure attendees have a clear
understanding of all aspects involved
in delivering the Towry proposition and
are able to demonstrate these skills to
the level required for Professional
Standards Framework (PSF) Part 1
Adviser sign off.

The course itself forms one part of a
New Adviser's induction programme
(phase 2) which includes additional
self led study, Towry's core induction
(phase 1) and testing (phase 3).

New Adviser Induction Programme Overview

Self Led Proposition Manual Minimum Requirements: Read Proposition
Selected Planning Standards Manual & Sign PSF letter ahead of phase 2 - To
Phase 1 be sent out by L&D on confirmation of start date
Core Induction by HR.
L&D Led Core Documentation - CCID, T&Cs, Marketing,
Relevant phase 1 material to be listed in Evolve
Phase 2 FMQ programme - added by L&D on new entrant start
Towry Animates (Our approach/ Inv. Solutions) date.
Self Led Estimated maximum completion time 5 days.
PSF Letter
New entrants not attending the L&D led course
* Introduction to Towry will be required to cover phase 2 topic areas as
Acquire / Discover / Engage part of a self led plan.

Assessment 1 Managers will be required to assist in this and
Analyse / Present / allocate appropriate SMEs. Details will be
Implement / Review provided by way of an Evolve programme to track
progress and ensure coverage of all topic areas.
Assessment 2
Testing & validation will be applied on Evolve by
L&D.

Phase 3 Systems Managers will need to arrange invigilation for the
Review Phases 1 & 2 with Manager technical knowledge assessment. Case studies
Knowledge Assessment – including Investment and instructions will be sent to the invigilator by
L&D upon request.
Solutions
PSF Test Managers will be contacted by the PSF team to
discuss new entrants’ ongoing training needs
Coaching & Re-Assessment identified from the course assessments.

* Phase 1 may not be fully completed on commencing phase 2, depending on Adviser start date in relation to the course dates. However, the
proposition manual should be completed as a minimum requirement before progressing.

We are pleased to confirm the details for your attendance on the New Adviser
Induction course. The course is compulsory and is part of your overall induction
programme. Below you will find all the information you need ahead of attending.
Dates:
Monday 19 September – Friday 23 September
Start Time: 11.00am* (Monday 19 September)
Location: Towry House | Western Road | Bracknell | RG12 1TL

*All other days will start at 8.30am. You will be expected to complete evening work
throughout the course. If you have any evening commitments booked please

Aim
The New Adviser Induction course aims to ensure attendees have a clear understanding of all
aspects involved in delivering the Towry proposition and are able to demonstrate these skills to
the level required for Professional Standards Framework (PSF) Part 1 Adviser sign off.
Objectives
The objectives of the induction are to ensure everyone is able to:-
Positioning all elements of the Towry proposition with clients
 Describing the Towry pricing philosophy
 Describing Towry’s approach to risk profiling
 Demonstrating the ability to discuss Towry with clients
 Demonstrating the positioning of cash flow planning
 Displaying an understanding of the advice process

Travel & Accommodation
You will need to arrange your own travel to the venue and any potential overnight
accommodation. We recommend the Grange Hotel or the Hilton which are both located close to
the Bracknell office. Your Manager will be able to assist you with this.

Public transport and hotel accommodation can be booked through our travel management
company TMG Travel (01494 415 878) by quoting your department’s cost code. Please obtain
the cost code from your Manager before booking.
If you are travelling by car, expenses must be claimed back through your personal expense
form.
For further information on Towry’s travel policy, please refer to the Towry Policies and
Procedures guide or speak to your manager.

Laptop

Please bring your Towry laptop with you to the course as it will be required in order to complete
the evening work. If the course start date coincides with your first day at Towry, your laptop
will be presented to you on the first day.

Lunch

Lunch will not be provided; however, facilities are available in the Towry restaurant in Bracknell.

Dress

Business attire at all times please.

Parking

In Bracknell, there is free parking in the car park located behind the office. If there are no
spaces in the car park, double-parking is permitted. However, please do leave a note on your
windscreen stating which course you are attending in order for people to contact you if they
need to get out. Please do not use the “Visitors” spaces as these are for clients only.
