REFLECTION

Symptom (Akibat):

Pupils could not write essays with the
word count given which is 80 to 100
words.

Pupils tend to write very short essays
which don’t reach the word count
given.

Pupils tend to use all the words given
in the box to write essay without trying
to understand the meaning of it which
further lead them to make structural
and grammatical errors..

Pupils don’t elaborate much or
explain much on minor things
happening besides the main event.

REFLECTION

Problem (Punca):

Pupils don’t understand that the words
given serve as a guidance for them and
they MAY use them as they are not
compulsory to be used.

Pupils don’t understand on the
importance of word count where they
do play a major role in scoring marks.

Pupils has limited English vocabulary.

Pupils don’t really focus on each things
in the pictures given to write their
essays.

HOW IT WORKS?

Teacher introduces the “2C and

Double C strategy” which means;

Cut First Stage

Colour

Construct- “my personal 2C table”

Combine Second Stage

Teacher distributes the pictures to the

pupils.

Pupils are required to zoom in the

picture and identify or focus each things

taken place in picture.

HOW IT WORKS?

Then, they need to cut those things

into a few parts.

Next, pupils need to colour those

things so that they won’t forget about it
while writing their essay.

After that, pupils need to draw a

bubble map. Here the pupils need to
write all the words related to the
pictures.

In the next stage, pupils need to

construct sentences using the
My personal Table”. This table will
guide them to reduce their structural and
grammatical errors in sentences level
before proceeding to essay.

HOW IT WORKS?

Here, they may write as many as

sentences that they want in the table.

Finally, pupils combine those

sentences using linking words that they
have learnt previously.

RESULTS

• The result is subjective. However it is
pretty sure pupils will able to write
essay between 80 to 100 words with
the “2C and Double C strategy”.

• Pupils will be given a task sheet
similar to Paper 2 Section C
(Question 2) series of pictures

• Pupil will be read out the sentences
using Flipgrid (video recording).

• I can observe while the pupils are
working with the task.

Suitable to be used for primary and

secondary school pupils.

Can improve their writing skills in

English.

Malaysian pupils in writing.
