SCOTCH
The Macallan
The Macallan, overlooking the River Spey in the Highland region of Scotland,
has produced the world's most iconic Single Malt Whiskey since 1824.
The name Macallan is derived from two Gaelic words, Magh, meaning "a fertile
piece of ground," and Ellan, meaning "of Saint Fillan," an Irish-born monk who
traveled throughout Scotland spreading Christianity during the eighth
century.
Known for the Sherry Oak series which is matured in Spanish oak casks from
Jerez, The Macallan produces several unique series of Single Malts.
Fine & Rare is the definitive expression of The Macallan, and represents the
very best of The Macallan's oldest maturing casks.
The Macallan in Lalique is a creative collaboration between Scotland and
France. This limited-edition bottling is a celebration of two great national
traditions. Only 400 of these hand-blown Lalique crystal decanters were ever
produced.

BOURBON
In 1893, Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle began as a salesman for a liquor wholesaler
at the ripe-old age of eighteen. During prohibition his firm was licensed by
the government to produce whiskey for medicinal purposes.
In 1972 Van Winkle reintroduced the pre-Prohibition brand Old Rip Van Winkle
after brands including Old Fitzgerald were sold to other companies.
The 1911 Jim Beam was bottled for the historic Pendennis Club, and along with
the 1950 Old Fitzgerald, was a part of a collection owned by diplomat William
A.M. Burden.

RUM
Rhum Agricole is a type of rum distilled in the French West Indies islands
from freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, rather than from molasses. Our
distinctive Rhum Agricole selections offer some historical significance.
1994 was the year that Chef Thomas Keller purchased The French Laundry, and
1952 is amongst the greatest vintages in the history of Rhum production.
Ron Malecon is a "pre-embargo" Cuban rum from the historic William A.M.
Burden Collection. We find this to be an intriguing companion to compliment a
"pre-embargo" Cuban cigar from one of our custom French Laundry humidors.

Joven, or "young" in Spanish, is a hand-finished style made by gently balancing
silver tequila with a hint of Extra Añejo.
Extra Añejo is aged in oak casks for three years or more- and offers a smooth,
complex and slightly smokey expression of this renowned spirit.

COGNAC
Produced in the region surrounding the town from which it takes its name,
Cognac may be the most prestigious brandy in the world.
Louis XIII is blended from 1200 eaux-de-vie, each between 40 and 100 years-old.
Eleven pounds of crystal is blown and shaped by Baccarat Cristallerie to
create the iconic decanter.
We are featuring two extraordinarily rare Hennessey Cognacs. The first a
1900 vintage Cognac bottled in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen
Elizabeth II, and the second, a 100 year-old Cognac bottled in 1977 to
commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

ARMAGNAC
Armagnac is a distinctive brandy produced in the region of Gascony, in the
foothills of the Pyrenees. Traditionally distilled only once, Armagnac is
often less polished than Cognac, however, long aging in oak barrels softens
the flavor and develops complexity.

CHARTREUSE
Hand-crafted by Carthusian Monks since the 1740s, Grande Chartreuse is
produced using a secret formula including 130 medicinal and aromatic plants
and flowers. Today, only two monks are entrusted with this highly guarded
recipe.
Green Chartreuse, the original elixer, gets its color from chlorophyll, while
Yellow Chartreuse has a slightly milder and sweeter flavor and is colored
with saffron.
We are featuring two extremely rare vintage cuvées. The first commemorates
the return of the Chartreux to their monastery from exile in Tarragona in
1940, and the second celebrates the liberation of Paris in 1944. Only 800
bottles of each cuvée were produced.

CALVADOS
Since the 1800s, the Camut family has produced estate Calvados from apple
trees in the Pays d'Auge, the finest growing region for Calvados in Normandy.
Rareté is the oldest Calvados release from this esteemed producer, made from
lots that are from 50 to 100 years old. Only six bottles are imported into the
United States each year, making this an extremly rare and unique opportunity
for the Calvados enthusiast.

EAU-DE-VIE
Gunter Rochelt founded the Rochelt Brandy Distillery in 1989.
Cultivated in Upper Austria, hand-picked plums are naturally fermented and
double-distilled in copper pot stills. The precious middle-cut is then matured
in glass balloons for a minimum of five years.

AMARO
Produced in Italy's north-eastern region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia,
Nonino,"Quintessentia" is grappa based and infused with a blend of gentian
root, saffron, licorice, rhubarb, sweet and bitter orange, tamarind, and
chinchona bark.
This rare bottle of Cinzano, "China Elixer" was bottled in the 1960's. The
“elixir of life” is a mythical potion that grants the drinker eternal youth. In
ancient China, emperors sought the fabled elixir and believed that ingesting
long-lasting precious substances such as jade, cinnabar and gold would
bestow some of that longevity on the person who consumed them.
