Our

Scottish football is predominantly funded by various alcohol, tobacco &
betting companies.

62% of SPFL clubs receive sponsorship from brands within this category, with
that figure being even higher in England. (Source: Out of the 42 members
clubs in 2020)

Edinburgh City FC does not believe that professional sport should be
endorsed by these activities, and it is our pledge to not promote sales of
alcohol, tobacco or encourage gambling in any form.

In order to meet our pledge, we will need the support of many likeminded,
socially responsible companies.

To g e t he r, we can h ave a w ider im pact on the game, by doing thi ng s
differently. We can, however, only achieve this with your support.

Edinburgh City FC pride ourselves on having a
strong social impact. We care deeply about our
local community, the city and leaving a lasting,
p o s i t i v e i m p a c t o n p e o p l e ’s l i v e s . We a re
committed to helping address social inequality and
using our position as a professional football team,
to be ‘more than just a club’.

A Club heading in
the right directionA CLUB HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

At Edinburgh City FC, we promote inclusion for all. We
h a v e a Wo m e n ’s Te a m , v a r i o u s Yo u t h Te a m s a n d
Community Programmes. These provide training to more
than 450 children every week, and our Walking Football
initiatives provide support to the vulnerable on improving
their health & wellbeing.

Our future goals include transitioning our first team from
semi-professional to a full-time setup, complete with our
own ground and to provide a clear pathway for academy
players to strive to break into the first team.

Utilising the power
of Footba for goodUTILISING THE POWER OF FOOTBALL FOR GOOD

Your partnership or donation will support and develop our
community programmes. In return, we can help your
business meet any Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
needs you might have, or wish to introduce to your
business.

We work with and support local homeless people, low-
income families, and those suffering from poverty, whilst
also encouraging local vulnerable people, those with
disabilities, local women and minorities in our community
to get involved and be part of our Club. 

Our Club is deeply committed to improving Edinburgh as
a City through the power of football.

Our Badge

Our vision is for the Edinburgh City FC crest to be
seen as a badge of honour. It should be associated
with positive work in the local community and being
a socially responsible football club. We are
