Geography

In 2016, I moved from Manila Philippines to LA in
California. When I got out of LAX and got in my sister’s car we
were on our way to our grandmother’s house. My mother said
that most of the houses looked the same. Also, when we were
on the road, I could see it. Every house had the same design
but different colors. On the freeway, it reminded me of the
highway from the Philippines called NLEX. North Luzon
Expressway. I saw trees, cars, houses, and mobile homes,
that I have never seen before. I also saw mountains, as a
matter of fact. Those were things I saw when I came here

Religion

When I went to church, all they did was talk about Jesus’s
life piece by piece, from his burial to the pentecost. They sing
songs related to Jesus, like Above All by Lenny LeBlanc. Then
straight after church we have a coffee hour where someone
brings any food, we eat and chat with one another. We do a
peace thing where we have to stand up and say peace to as
many people as you can get while shaking their hand. Then
on next Sunday we pick up from where we left of. For
example, we were listening to the story of Jesus’s burial, then
on next Sunday we talk about 3 days before he rose again.

Achievements

An invention that has improved my life is the internet. For
most of my years I grew up without internet, so I sticked to
watching tv shows. If I never had internet I would probably be
reading books, drawing, or doing homework, if I have any, or
going out every weekend. If I didn't have internet I couldn't
watch anything other people suggest me to watch and I would
have never been able to research anything for homework.
This is how the internet improved my life.

Politics

One of the household rules I have is no eating food while
having any electronic devices out. What happens when I
break this rule is either my mom tells me to get up and put it
somewhere or talks to me in that scary voice of hers. Another
rule is, don't bring any electronic devices in the bathroom. If I
break this rule, I’ll have to tell her no, she’ll get mad at me. I
only said no because she also brings the ipad to the restroom.

Economics

A career I want when I grow up, is to be an animator,
because I like to draw a lot and I like how animation works. But
my mom wants me to have a degree or something in college,
so my other option is to become an architect. A reason why I
chose to be an architect is because my dad’s an engineer, and
I want to work with him, so I’ll be an architect. But my mom
said I can be an animator on the side, when I have a stable job
as an architect. I really don’t have a reason why I want to
have the job, but it seems like fun.

Social structure

I have a mom and a dad, I have an older brother named
Richard and an older sister named Samantha from my mom’s
side. I have 2 sisters from my dad’s side named Karla and
Kimberly, who were also older than me. My dad is a civil
engineer, while my mom is a caregiver. Though she had an
undergraduate degree on nursing. We really don’t do anything
as a whole family, since my brother and sister lives here, while
my other two sisters live in the Philippines. Even if we all did
live in the same country, they all have their own lives, my
brother Richard and my sister Kimberly has kids and are living
their lives. My sister Karla is a teacher for special ed, and my
sister Samantha works in a bank. But usually in my dad’s side
we used to visit Kimberly when she used to work for starbucks,
and just hang around the mall. But in my mom’s side we all
watch a movie and also go to the mall, or just go to a
restaurant and eat food.
