determined by individuals and
organisations, to the extent that they
attach importance to the word.
Emphasising on the social or
relational nature of trust, I would like to
define trust as a choice, a decision to
place one’s confidence in others.
Interpersonal trust can be defined as an
expectancy held by an individual or a
group that the action, word, promise,
verbal or written statement of another
individual or group can be relied on. In
simple terms, according to dictionary
definition, trust means a firm belief in
the reliability, truth or ability of someone
or something.
