Defender Seagull Spikes were invented in response to growing problems with roof-nesting gulls in towns
and cities throughout Europe . It looks very similar to the DWide Stainless Steel pigeon spike, however
the actual steel wires are 40mm longer. This is to cater for the seagull’s longer legs.
RIDGE TILE SPIKE
This is a specially designed fitting to enable you to fit spikes to V-shaped ridge tiles.
Note: this in ONLY to be used if your ridge tile is peaked (upside down V shaped). If your roof has a half
round ridge tile use the Wide Stainless Steel Spikes, as there is sufficient room on the half round
ridge tile to fix this spike.
PIPE SPIKE
Our Narrow Steel spikes have a special hole moulded into each side which will enable a suitable cable tie
to be inserted, and this in turn can be used to fix the spikes to the surface. (We supply our standard nar-
row steel bird spike and you obtain suitable cable ties locally.)
GUTTER CLIPS
These clips make it possible to protect your gutters with our wide plastic or steel bird spikes.
Fit one clip to each end of the spike strip and clip it to the gutter—job done!
(Only for half-round or OG gutters)
OPENING WINDOW CLIPS
These Opening Window Clips were born from the problem of pigeon proofing a window sill from birds, yet
still wanting to be able to open the window. This clip is attached to both ends of our 33cm long wide bird
spikes and then fixed to the bottom of the actual window frame, so it moves with the window when it
opens. When the window is shut, the spike sits just above the sill, deterring all birds and pigeons from
perching or roosting there.
We also supply made-to-measure bird netting in a variety of mesh sizes to deal with areas where bird
spikes are not suitable. Please see our web site (NoBirdsHere.ie) for details
