- 50 - 8) PUBLIC RELATIONS AND FUNDRAISING DEPARTMENT Public relations aim to promote the work of CSC Rayong to the society, to understand and support the children and patients. Public relations of CSC Rayong made use of various platforms of online channels which are convenient and reliable. It helps public relations work and fundraising to get help with necessary resources for helping improve quality of life of the children and patients with proper development during the crisis situation caused by COVID-19 pandemic. However, public relations and the use of various media faced some limitations in posting ads on various platforms. The amount of donations received decreased due to the current economic problems of the country and around the world. As a result, donations received did not meet the set goals, which CSC Rayong has tried to identify more platforms and channels for public relations in order to reach a larger number of target groups, and design more and diverse fundraising activities to meet people's interests and in line with today's economic situation. RESULTS • There are 18,281 people in Thailand who followed the work of CSC Rayong through social media platforms as follows: “Facebook 12,267 people (67.10%)”, “Website 4,237 people (23.18%)”, “Line Official 1,394 people (7.63%)”, “Tik Tok 244 people (1.33%)”, and “Instagram 139 people (0.76 %)”. • The number of foster parents has increased by 14 people. In total, there are 471 foster parents who provided monthly scholarship and money for personal expenses of children and youth affected by AIDS from 2006-2022. • In total, 57 volunteer groups of people and organisations implementing 13 activities, such as repairing and renovating buildings, improving landscapes, cleaning of accommodation and activity venues for children and patients. ACTIVITIES THAT HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT 1. Public relations (information) 1) Regularly posted news on the work of CSC Rayong in www.camillianrayong.org, www.facebook.com/cscrayong, https://lin.ee/KiEbYj9, www.tiktok.com/@camillian.rayong, www.instagram.com/camilliansocialcenterrayong, [email protected] 2) Regularly disseminated press releases to local media, such as publications, radio stations, erecting 2 public relations sign boards. One board was on public relations asking for donations of consumer goods at the side door next to Soi Khiri Road, and another board asking for urgent donations of consumer goods at the front door of CSC Rayong beside Sukhumvit Road. 3) It sent birthday greeting cards to sponsors who have birthdays in different months, in total 2,417 people out of the total number of 11,484 donors, representing 21.04%. 2. Domestic donation requests 1) For the 3 meals a day project, breakfast 2,000 Baht, lunch 3,500 Baht, dinner 2,500 Baht, (Saturday dinner 3,000 Baht), CSC Rayong received a total of 2,250,841 Baht in donations. 2) Fundraising projects among Catholic groups, including a projector project, roof renovation of pavilion on the pool project, donation for children milk project, donation for ATK test kits project, donation for stationery project, donation for renovation materials for volunteer room, assistance to patients and children project, fundraising programs to support activities of various departments, for which CSC Rayong received a total donation of 1,400,000 Baht. 3) Long-term ongoing fundraising projects include donation for consumer goods project, pharmaceutical supplies project, donation for utilities project, learning supplies project, the Life of Hope project, donation for electrical appliances project, education project, donation for purchase of ATK test kits, from which CSC Rayong received a total donation of 298,251 Baht. 4) Short-term projects for urgent needs include: COVID-19 project, charity products sale project, festival sponsorship project, donation for bedding set project, donation to buy dryers and washing machines project, donation for medicine cabinet project, donation to buy refrigerator and freezer project, donation to purchase air conditioner project, donation to buy barber equipment project, and CSC Rayong renovation project. From these projects CSC Rayong received a total donation of 239,044 Baht.
- 51 - 5) It organised the project "Bridge of Hope", asking for sponsorship of 100 Baht/person/month. In 2022, there were 244 sponsors who donated a total amount of 203,444 Baht. 6) It placed 10 donation boxes in Rayong province, which could collect the total donation of 22,583 Baht. 7) Solar installation project and volunteerism to restore cleanliness in the Khok Nong Na agricultural area with support from PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. REF Change the World team sent its employees to participate in the operation and contributed 10,000 Baht. 8) The project for a new life, 1 bed for 1 life by 1 sponsor, which could collect a total donation of 8,400 Baht. 9) It joined the credit card deduction donation program of Bank of Ayudhya with 1 person at 1,200 Baht. 10)Renovation and repair project for laundry room, workshop, incinerator demolition and Big cleaning for 1 month, which is a project that requires both human resources and fund. This project is supported by "Air Combat and Coastal Defense Command Unit", which sent its personnel, funds, various tools and equipment to help in the renovation and repair. On the delivery day, there was a big cleaning activity. CSC Rayong has invited its neighbours to take part, for example, Eastern Shark Look Ya community, Shark Look Ya Temple community, Soi Khiri Community, Nong Wai Soam Community, parishioners from Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Sattahip, GC Logistics Solutions Company Limited, and Huay Pong Police Station. It is an activity that foster community unity in society as well. 11)D-DAY Volunteerism project has been implemented 3 times. It is a project that recruitted volunteer agencies or groups of outsiders to implement activities that correspond to CSC Rayong’s needs and match the objectives of various agencies in organising the activities as well. The goal is to implement these activities once a month. As a result, 38 enterprises have agreed to participate in the project as follows: "Wall Painting Project", Purac (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Total Corbion PLA (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Thai Ethoxylate Co., Ltd., Vanachai Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., Vinythai Public Company Limited, NS-Siam United Steel Co., Ltd., BSTANeos Elastomer Company Limited, Gulf MTP LNG Terminal Company Limited, PTT Asahi Chemical Company Limited, NPC Safety and Environmental Service Co., Ltd., a group of consulting management and supervision of structural construction firms, Foundation of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Development Project Phase 3 (section 1) (PMSC) "Wall Painting Project in garage area", Thai Auto Parts (YS Pund) Labour Union and "Volunteerism project to peel and clean the wall" of CR3 (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and donated money and supplies to support CSC Rayong. 12)CSR activities were implemented in total 9 times with 11 entities. CSC Rayong supports corporate social responsibilty activities of various enterprises. In 2022, a total of 34 companies participated in CSR activities to donate consumer goods, funds and recreational activities/training for children and Camillian patients. 3. Donation requests from abroad 1) Conducting public relations to find foster parents with 2 projects: “Foster Parents Program (Sponsorships)” was implemented in collaboration with French and British charities. There is a “Fulfill Dreams and Share Happiness” project that CSC Rayong has developed to reach foster parents around the world directly. This is to support continuous education and development of quality of life of orphaned children and youth. 2) It developed 16 short-term projects for urgent needs, namely “Washing basin for the children home Project”, “Septic tank at the Garden of Eden Project”, “air conditioner project for PCU’s medicine room”, “No. 1 refrigerator for kitchen project”, “Children's Home Water Dispenser Project”, “Patient Bed Sheet Project at the main PCU and at the Garden of Eden”, “A project on new fan installation in the whole CSC Rayong”, “Notebook and Computer Project”,“Student Uniform Project”, “PCU Medicine Cabinet Project”, “Equipment for capacity building of children project”, “PCU Tree Planting Project”, “Youth Home Repair Project” and “2 nd Kitchen Refrigerator Project”. 4. Fundrasing Activities CSC Rayong has organised charity run, the 7th ‘Run for Kids’, on November 27, 2023 at CSC Rayong to raise fund to support implementation of its activities and promote relationship between CSC Rayong and its network of partners. There were 1,279 participants from 98 entities/individuals supporting the event, which could raise a total fund of 1,602,422.99 Baht.
- 52 - 9) HUMAN RESOURCES Purpose: Be responsible for and develop its work to help personnel gain knowledge and capacity for greater effective performance results, promote and build relationships between organisations, the management and personnel. Situation of Personnel, regarding the rate of turnover of personnel, CSC Rayong has recruited 9 new staff, and 10 staff members resigned. CSC Rayong has 42 staff members and 13 volunteers. In total, CSC Rayong has 58 people working with it. The main obstacle of CSC's human resources is that the number of personnel is insufficient for its operations, causing additional workload for the staff. Its personnel lacked specific skills, lacked collaborative planning between departments, which led to duplication of tasks and unclear division of labour. CSC Rayong came up with a solution to the problem by recruiting talented interns and young people to help in the work for a certain period of time while in the recruitment process. It also seeks assistance from personnel from different departments to help from time to time. It provided promotion and training for additional knowledge and skills for its personnel. It organised meetings to plan more action more clearly. ACTIVITIES THAT HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT 1. CSC Rayong organised meetings of department heads to consider new employee regulations. 2. It organised training on basic firefighting and fire escape for the year 2022 for its staff members and volunteers, children and patients. 3. It organised activities on important traditional festivals. 4. It held monthly staff meeting, in total 12 monthly meetings in the calendar year. 5. It organised COVID-19 screening with ATK kits for its staff and volunteers including children and patients. 6. It organised training for its staff and volunteers in collaboration with PCU on new ARV regimen by inviting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jureerat Bowonwattanuwong, President of the AIDS Society of Thailand, as resource person. 7. It organised the 2022 World AIDS Day campaign in collaboration with the Palliative Care Unit (PCU).
