Message from the Management The Annual Report 2023 is prepared to report on the results of Camillian Social Center Rayong's management of the HIV and AIDS situation in Rayong Province in the year 2023 (1 January - 31 December) both in carrying out project activities according to objectives. CSC Rayong's vision still holds on to being "Model Religious Organization proactively work holistically to end AIDS" Throughout the past year, CSC Rayong continued to be honest in committing to work and development the operation on HIV/AIDS under 7 main programs namely 1) a project on care for orphans living with HIV and children affected by AIDS; 2) a project on Independent Living Home of youth living or affected by HIV/AIDS (IDP); 3) Palliative Care Unit (PCU); 4) health and occupational rehabilitation project for PLHIV (the Garden of Eden); 5) HIV/AIDS Prevention among the people by working in close collaboration with relevant state agencies and network partners; 6) welfare and social work through visiting patients in local communities, 7) pastoral care. Moreover, this 2023 annual report is also a report on budget spending. The plans for these projects have been implemented to improve the quality of life of people receiving training for people living with HIV and those affected by AIDS. On behalf of children, youth, patients, volunteers and all member of Camillian Social Center Rayong, we sincerely hope that This annual report will be a useful document for all related agencies and the general public. Target Populations: • Orphans living with HIV and AIDS affected children • People living with HIV and AIDS who live in poverty, are homeless, rejected by family and society, people affected by HIV / AIDS • People, especially children, youth, and women at risk from HIV / AIDS Introduction: The Camillian Social Center Rayong is a charitable institution established in 1995 as a part of The St. Camillus foundation of Thailand which is an institution opened to serve the local needs of people infected and affected by the HIV virus giving preference to the poorest and the socially excluded or marginalized. which focuses on working on HIV and AIDS issues in Rayong Province and nearby provinces. CSC Rayong has the status of a private children's home and a non-profit organization. As well as being a service unit that receives referrals specifically for HIV and sexually transmitted disease services in the community. CSC Rayong has been in operation for 28 years. Provide care, support, help, and improve the quality of life for orphans living with HIV and children have affected by AIDS. Pastoral care and support for the poor health, especially those living with HIV and AIDS. Develop and create processes skills and tools for providing assistance in care, pastoral care, restoring health and developing a holistic quality of life. Provide education and training to the public about HIV/AIDS and develop communication skills in preventing and caring for and supporting AIDS patients. Providing advice, coordinating cooperation and receiving-referral to public and private organizations and religious networks, network of people living with HIV/AIDS in the Eastern Region Prevent and solve AIDS problems in various dimensions. Camillian Social Center Rayong provide care, support, assistance, and improve quality of life of HIV infected orphans and AIDS affected children, and provide postoral care and support for the poor, especially those living with HIV and AIDS. Assistance and Welfare provision for people living with HIV and those affected by AIDS from 1996 – 2023 have benefited the total number of 2,279 cases. Activity 1: Project on care for orphans living with HIV and children affected by AIDS Target Population: Provide care, support, assistance, and these help to promote their improve with education, health develop the quality of life of HIV infected orphans and AIDS affected children and see your own worth Children's Home program in CSC Rayong provides care for 24 orphans living with affected by HIV/AIDS by providing health care, education, emotional development through music and recreational activities, developing life skills and promoting morality through organizing Camps activities also aim to develop the potential of caregivers to be happy, reduce stress, and increase emotional intelligence to care for children happily. In the future, we aim to develop caregivers to have new knowledge and be up to date with technology and able to support children to grow in today's society with quality. 5


Activity 2 : Independent Living Home of youth living or affected by HIV/AIDS (IDP) Target Population: Youth center helps to promote livelihood and prepares their lives in the society. We hope they will take care of one's own health, have education, have the skills and potential to live proudly in society. There are 19 youth living with HIV and affected by AIDS within the center. Their ages begin 13-25 years. Regarding youth health, the center provides training on reproductive health in collaboration with Rayong Hospital. Follow up on treatment results As well as periodically evaluating your mental and emotional well-being. In addition, there are activities to develop life skills, such as business study tours in Cambodia and arrange for participation in taking responsibility for daily missions in the center organize activities to promote careers and grow vegetables to save money and be toxic-free. There are activities to promote morality. The youth participate in various religious activities and youth camps, as well as encourage the youth to return to visit their hometowns. This is good building the relationships with family and good increase understanding of living together. 6


Target Population: Staff provide knowledge on taking antiretroviral drugs to prevent opportunistic diseases. This is good promoting to our patients and they will be able to live together with their families and have professional skills of handicrafts that can be used to generate income and live well in society. Activity 3: Palliative Care Unit (PCU) Achievement of PCU of CSC Rayong in 2023 has cared for 25 impoverished people living with HIV and AIDS to receive care and assistance to have a better quality of life. received antiviral treatment Control the amount of virus (Viral Load) below 20 copies/ml, free from immune deficiency and improve health. There are those who are able to return to life in society on their own. CSC Rayong has organized activities to restore physical and mental health. By organizing physical therapy programs such as riding electric bicycles, walking around, physical massage, and hot compresses every day, there are also mental therapy activities through art, music, and conversation. The patients went to beach trip with staff and volunteers, there are also recreational activities such as family day, cooking, eating together. The center arranged patients to participate in activities including: promote careers, such as a gossamer flower, Paint cloths and make handicrafts such as doormats, cat beds, etc. The center provides equipment and raw materials and also search market for selling their handicrafts. Moreover, strong patients help to care for poor health patients or who are in the final stages. CSC Rayong has organized training for the staff and volunteers provided continuous knowledge development training and used with patients. 7


Activity 4: Garden of Eden Target Populations: People living with HIV can be healthy and able to and reignited to life in society In 2023, the Eden Garden Center were 33 people living with HIV, all of whom were restored to better health. They got to see a doctor and received antiretroviral and psychiatric drugs regularly. They did physical therapy to improve the body and organize a project to promote mental health for women living with HIV. There is vocational training to create income for oneself and be self-reliant, both agriculture and handicrafts. Moreover, people living with HIV are also a technology for transferring knowledge of making multi-purpose carpets for members of other disabled groups as well. The center has a market for products, both agricultural products and handicrafts, through communities, business establishments, educational institutions, and temples, which provides opportunities to bring products to sell. For caregivers and volunteers have been developed and trained knowledge and understanding of patient care and various rights and access to patient welfare assistance to gain more understanding and help patients. 8


Target Populations: This project aiming to reduce the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. Moreover, the number of people infected with AIDS has decreased and unintended pregnancies among teenagers have decreased. Activity 5: HIV/AIDS Prevention In 2023, the center was registered and is a service unit that receives referrals specifically for HIV and sexually transmitted disease services in the community with the National Health Security Office (NHSO). The project has arranged for the public. In particular, more than 1,500 youth and female sex workers have access to knowledge services, receive HIV and sexually transmitted disease prevention equipment. More than 300 people were interested in being screened, allowing those at risk to be diagnosed and received care. In addition, the center had strong network of proactive community services has been established and condom distribution points have been developed in more than 32 subdistrictlevel communities, with more than 26,000 condoms distributed. The World AIDS Day, this project has organized World AIDS Day campaign activities with network partners and provided online services for giving advice, forwarding, disseminating information and activities. Moreover, it also supports and organizes community service volunteers from voluntary employees. They participated in training and be able to provide more community services. 9


Activity 6: Welfare and social work Target Populations: Promote and support people living with HIV to be able to return to society, their families, and have a good quality of life. Moreover, they have appropriate behavior access to health care systems, education, careers, and have the potential to live in society on their own. The main activities that were performed included the initial work, evaluating patients before receiving assistance, modifying behavior and developing the potential of recipients of assistance. By organizing activities to enhance life skills for children and youth, such as: coordinated of rights Various welfare benefits, preparation before returning to society ,follow-up and home visits, organizing psychological activities and promoting development for members, providing counseling for both those receiving assistance and those calling for counseling. In addition, there is always the development of social work and psychology personnel in new knowledge such as the PDPA law and welfare work, NPL, and behavior modification for children and youth for keeping up with current's society. In year 2023, people living with HIV will have access to welfare rights. Thirty-five disabled people with ID cards received the right to receive treatment for AIDS patients and children to attend school according to all rights. In addition, there were 6 people who received assistance in the center they reignited and live with their families and still good living in the society. 10


Activity 7: Pastoral care Target Populations: To develop humanity in every dimension of life in the context of a shelter for a complete life, emphasizing the three-dimensional relationship of life: God and humans, human to human and humans and nature. From stimulating children, patients and staff participate in pastoral care that make children interested and participate in various ritual duties such as reading scripts, singing, playing music and leading prayers in ceremonies as well as helping to prepare religious ceremonies on important days and participating in ceremonies and activities with the Mae Phra Mae Nitchanukroh, Temple community, organizing sacred dramas and singing Christmas greetings All members in the center saw the importance of caring for patients, caring for children, and performed their duties attentively by placing patients and children at the center of work. Children, patients and staff have religious relations. ฺBoth Christian and Buddhist rituals by participating in various rituals willingly and learning beliefs religious observances of each other, such as Christmas, funeral ceremonies and the cremation of the departed. 11

Activity of Domestic donations Activity of Donation from aboard There are various activities and projects that accept donations within the country (Domestic Donation). There are many projects for donors to choose the purpose they want, such as the 3-meal project, the fundraising project to help children and the sick, the 1 Bed 1 New Life Project. Life 1 Sponsor, Bridge of Hope Project, Medical Supplies Project school supplies Contribution to utility expenses Selling charity products, educational projects, children's digital painting projects, etc. And in year 2023, the total of 5,185,706.33 baht was raised for donations within the country. Moreover, the center published press activities. We posted on various social media. The Center regularly shared press releases with local print media such as radio stations, post publicity signs at various locations in the districts at Rayong Province The center has various projects such as the Parent's Project (sponsorship). Ever month, we had meetings with staffs at French and English organizations to follow up with parents. Beside, this department had many different projects to ask the support for help to develop the quality of living lives for the children and patients(Short-term development projects) For this year, the donations from people from aboard were raised in the amount of 4,230,214.31 baht. 13


Activity of Fundraising October 15, 2023, The Garden of Eden organized three Pha Pa merit-making fundraisers (fund, rice fund, water fund) for HIV patients and also disabled people for raise funds, bringing income to contribute to the expenses to running the Garden of Eden. This activity received good support from faithful people who joined together to make merit. This is especially kind people in the community where the Garden of Eden located and more than 200 people were interested and participated in the activity. Finally, the Garden of Eden received a contribution of 249,666.75 baht after deducting expenses. November 19, 2023, CSC Rayong organized a charity running activity "Run for kids, Run with your heart, Give with love #8" which is organized continuously every year and this year is the 8th time to raise funds and bring income to contribute to expenses for operating the center to help and improve the quality of life of HIV patients, Children and teenagers and who have affected by AIDS at the Camillian Social Center Rayong, This event, there were 1,406 participants and received a contribution of 1,498,090.28 baht. 14
