THE BASIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TEACH?

Get Started
Lessons are stored and organized in classes, so you must create a class before you
can write a lesson.
It may be helpful to include a date in the class name. You may create as many
classes as you need.
Click the “Get Started” button on the homepage http://www.lessonwriter.com/ and
register.
Log on and click on the “Manage” icon at the top of the screen.
Click on “Create/ Edit Classes.”
Click on “Create a new class,” complete the fields, and click “Create”.

Create a Lesson from text
You can write a lesson from any digital text that can be copied and pasted.

1. Find a text that you would like to use to create a lesson for this class and can
copy to your computers clipboard.

2. Copy text for a lesson to the computer's clipboard.
3. On Lessonwriter.com, lick 'Teach” on the top navigation bar
4. Click 'Make a lesson based on text'.
5. Follow the instructions for the input page and all the additional pages.

Create a Lesson from a web page
You can create a lesson from any web page that contains text by copying and
pasting the url.

1. Find a web page that to write a lesson from.
2. Copy the url (e.g., https://www....) to your computers clipboard
3. On Lessowriter.com, click 'Teach” on the top navigation bar.
4. Click 'Make a lesson based on text', then click the "From web address" tab.
5. Select the class and paste in the url, then click "Create from this url.

Lessons may include videos.
If a transcript is available, Lessonwriter will generate complete lessons based on the
transcript.

1. Copy the embed code for the video onto your computer's clipboard.
2. Click 'Teach” on the top navigation bar
3. Click 'Make a lesson based on video'.
4. Follow the instructions for the input page, making sure to paste the embed

code into the correct spot.
5. Copy text to go with the video and paste the accompanying text into the box.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO MANAGE?

Assign Lessons
"Assigned lessons" are available for students to take online

1. Go to the Manage section and click on the "Assign work" link in the Students
column.
o Select the Class and lesson you want to teach.
o Click the Status icon and change the setting to "Assigned".
o Go the Classes section and get the Join Code for the appropriate class.

2. Share the Join Code with your students
o Have students register at StudentLoginPage.com (Only necessary the
first time; students can add unlimited Join Codes to the same account.)
o Tell them to insert the Join Code on the registration page.

3. When the students login, the lessons assigned will be available for them to
take online.

Grade Lessons 7
1. Navigate to LessonWriter -> Manage-> Grade online work
2. Select the class
3. Open the lesson to grade
4. Choose the action next to the students name (Grade or re-grade)

5. Open the lesson section to grade
6. Correction options include:
o award partial credit (1-4).
o adding comments
7. When you are done, you may click "Save" or "Assign to re-take"

Creating more classes

1. Click on “Create/ Edit Classes.”
2. Choose on “Create a new class”.
3. Fill in the Class name, grade, and subject fields.
4. Click on “Create a new class,” complete the fields, and click “Create”.

Create as many classes as you need

Differentiate Instruction
Tasks and content can be adjusted to fit the needs of different students.
You may divide your class into as many Differentiation Groups as needed.

1. Navigate to LessonWriter -> Manage -> Differentiation Groups
2. Select the class
3. Click "Create a new differentiation group"
4. Name and describe the group -> Set accomodation level (Standard,

Advanced or Support)

Setting and Monitoring Goals
As the school year goes on, the day-to-day demands of teaching and classroom
management make it hard to stay on top of our Differentiated Instruction goals.
Setting goals for our instructional practice (like the kinds of tasks our students will
perform and the critical thinking skills we'll emphasize) can help us stay on track
with differentiated instruction.

1. Go to Manage -> Differentiation Groups
2. Select the class
3. Select the group you want to set or monitor goals for. (Or click "Create a new

differentiation group"
4. Under the Sheltered Instruction heading, click "Critical Thinking Goals
5. Click "Create"
6. Create a lesson

9. Confirm the Critical thinking and Task goals are updated

GLOSSARY

A
Adopt

To Adopt a lesson means to take a lesson created by someone else and add
it one (or more) of your classes. After you adopt a lesson, it is yours to edit
and update to suit your students' needs.
Authentic materials
Authentic materials refers to reading materials created for a purpose other
than teaching. LessonWriter was created to generate teaching materials
from prose.

Classes
Classes are the fundamental organization unit of LessonWriter. All lessons
are created inside of a class. You may have an unlimited number of classes.
Collaborate
(Requires School teachers only) Collaborating on a lesson means that more
than one teacher can make changes. When collaborating, you may adopt
the lesson at any time to save that version. Then there are two copies
the Collaborative version that can still be updated by the other teachers, and
the Adopted version that can only be updated by you.
Custom Dictionary
Teachers may create custom dictionaries to add their own definitions to
words which can be used in place of the LessonWriter definition.

Lessonwriter's learner's dictionary is under constant review.
Differentiated Instruction
Differentiated Instruction means teaching students according to their needs.
LessonWriter facilitates differentiating by making it easy to create multiple
versions of the same lesson, each with different tasks, instruction, and
presentation, to fit your students needs.

Flashcards may be printed and handed out to students, or assigned on line.

Setting goals for how much emphasis you will give to certain Task types (e.g.,
writing, short answer or multiple choice questions) and Critical Thinking (e.g,
Comprehension or Analysis) is an optional part of Differentiating Instruction.
After you set your goals, LessonWriter tracks your lessons so you can check

1. Buka website www.quizizz.com.
2. Klik sign up di pojok kanan atas halaman website.

3. Sign up menggunakan email aktif Anda, serta buat username dan password
akun Quizizz Anda. Bila Anda memiliki akun Google Mail (Gmail), disarankan

Langkah-langkah untuk menggunakan kuis yang sudah tersedia di aplikasi Quizizz:
1. Pada halaman utama akun Quizziz Anda, klik Menu dan klik Find a Quiz (atau
Cari) di menu sebelah kiri.

2. Ketik kata kunci ke dalam search engine di sebelah kanan, di bawah
pertanyaan ‘Apa yang akan kamu ajarkan hari ini?’, kemudian tekan enter
pada keyboard Anda. Kata kunci yang perlu diketik adalah topik
pembelajaran yang hendak dibuatkan kuisnya. Contoh: bagi guru yang
mengajar Bahasa Inggris, dapat mengetik kata simple present tense untuk
mencari kuis tentang topik tersebut.

3. Gunakan feature Saring Melalui pada bagian kanan atas halaman untuk
mensortir kuis yang akan ditampilkan. Anda dapat menyeleksi kuis
berdasarkan relevansinya (Paling Terkait), frekuensi dimainkannya (Paling
Banyak Dimainkan) atau edisinya (Paling Akhir/Terbaru). Anda juga dapat
memilih level pendidikan siswa (Semua Kelas, SD, SMP, SMA, atau Perguruan
Tinggi) dan feature Semua Subjek untuk memilih jenis mata pelajaran yang
akan dikuiskan. Anda juga dapat mengklik Lebih untuk mensortir kriteria kuis
yang diinginkan agar lebih spesifik dan sesuai dengan keinginan Anda. Ketika
feature sortir sudah Anda isi, kuis-kuis yang masuk dalam kategori sortiran

MENDUPLIKASI DAN MEMODIFIKASI KUIS ORANG LAIN

Langkah-langkah untuk menduplikasi dan memodifikasi kuis yang sudah tersedia
di aplikasi Quizizz:

1. Pada halaman utama akun Quizziz Anda, klik Menu dan klik Find a Quiz (atau
Cari) di menu sebelah kiri.

2. Ketik kata kunci ke dalam search engine di sebelah kanan, di bawah
pertanyaan ‘Apa yang akan kamu ajarkan hari ini?’, kemudian tekan enter pada

4. Klik Copy and Edit pada bagian atas halaman. Anda dapat memodifikasi soal
yang tersedia satu per satu dengan menambahkan pilihan jawaban dan/atau
gambar.

5. Anda juga dapat memilih soal-soal tertentu dari kuis lain dengan mengklik
Tulis Sendiri atau Teleport.

6. Jika Anda memilih Tulis Sendiri, Anda dapat menuliskan pertanyaan-
pertanyaan kuis yang Anda buat sendiri dengan memilih jenis pertanyaan
kuisnya terlebih dahulu. Bila Anda ingin menambahkan pertanyaan yang
Anda buat sendiri, klik Pertanyaan Baru di sebelah atas.

7. Jika Anda memilih Teleport, Anda dapat mengambil pertanyaan-pertanyaan
dari kuis-kuis lainnya dan mengumpulkannya pada draft kuis Anda dengan
memilih kuis di sebelah kiri dan memilih pertanyaan di sebelah kanan,
kemudian klik tombol Tambah Lagi untuk menambahkan pertanyaan tersebut
ke dalam draft kuis Anda.

MEMBUAT KUIS BARU

Langkah-langkah untuk membuat kuis baru di aplikasi Quizizz:
1. Pada halaman www.quizizz.com/admin, klik Buat di bagian atas halaman dan
pilih Quiz.

2. Masukkan nama kuis yang akan dibuat dan nama mata pelajaran untuk kuis
tersebut. Contoh: bagi guru yang mengajar Bahasa Inggris, dapat mengetik
kata simple present tense untuk membuat kuis tentang topik tersebut dan
memilih Bahasa Inggris.

3. Anda dapat memilih jenis kuisnya dan pengaturannya, juga bahasa yang
digunakan dalam kuis tersebut. Anda dapat memasukkan gambar untuk kuis
(tidak wajib). Setelah selesai, klik Simpan. Setelahnya, klik Pertanyaan Baru
untuk mulai membuat soal.

4. Atur pengaturan untuk kuis Anda. Single answer adalah soal dengan satu

Langkah-langkah untuk memonitor dan mendokumentasikan hasil kuis siswa pada
aplikasi Quizizz:

1. Pada halaman www.quizizz.com/admin, klik Menu dan Hasil di bagian sebelah
kiri.

2. Pada halaman Hasil, Anda akan menemukan laporan hasil kuis dari game yang
telah dikerjakan siswa.

3. Untuk mereview hasil kuis siswa, klik feature Review Mode atau Live
Dashboard. Untuk melihat laporan hasil kuis siswa dan berapa soal yang

dan Keseluruhan satu per satu.

4. Klik Unduh untuk mendownload hasil kuis siswa dalam format Excel.

5. Anda juga dapat mengemail hasil kuis siswa kepada orangtua dengan
mengklik feature Peserta dan Email ke Orang Tua. Apabila mengirimkan email
