All About Basketball
Basketball is a sport that is mostly played i n the U.S., but other
countries too. The game is based on who scores the most points in one
game. There are five people from each team playing against each other.
There are different leagues around the world. The World League, where
people all around the world play. The NBA that is in the U.S. and a little of
Canada. There are exactly 30 teams. In the NBA the average combined
points per game are 241.1. The NBA has a postseason playoff. The top 8
teams from the East Conference and the top 8 teams from the West
Conference qualify for the playoffs. Then the two best teams square up in
the NBA finals. There are many great players i n basketball history but none
the same. They could be a great defender, or a great three-point shooter,
or a great dunker s uch as Michael Jordan. During the NBA season, there
is an all-star weekend. On this weekend the best players play a game,
participate in a three-point contest, and a slam dunk contest. The
three-point shot contest consists of the best shooters i n the league
shooting the most threes in 60 seconds. The slam dunk contest i s judged
on who can make the most unique dunk without missing. Basketball is not
only for the pros but college, too. The NCAAB where people in college play
in a league. After the season is over, there is a tournament between the
top 68 teams. Followed by that is a National Championship game when
the top 2 teams play against each other. In college and the pros, you can
score two pointers or three-pointers. Three-pointers are harder but better
points.
Warriors History
In 1946, the Philadelphia Warriors were found. They won the first
NBA finals. They had players like Joe Fulles, and Paul Arizan. In 1962,
they became the San Francisco Warriors. They had Wilt Chamberlain and
Nate Thurmond o n the team. The year 1987, the Warriors became the
Golden State Warriors. It wasn't a great season since they lost all of their
good players. They then collapsed and had bad games. They had the worst
record i n the league and were in last place. They were better in 2013 and
made the playoffs. The record for the Warriors was 51-31. They were a 6
seed and lost in the first round. In 2015, they became champs. Stephen
Curry for the Warriors was MVP that season, and he did awesome. Their
record was 67-15. They were first in the conference and league in the
regular season. They beat the Cavalier's 4-2 in the series. It was there
fourth title in their franchise. Next year in 2016, they did a lot better. They
went 73-9 which is the best record in NBA history. They were top in the
league. Stephen Curry got a milestone of 400 three-pointers. He was also
named regular season MVP. They a lso made it to the finals, but lost to the
Cavalier's in the series 4-3. In 2017 the Warriors added a legend. His name
was Kevin Durant, and he signed for 2 years. They went 67-15 and won
their fifth NBA finals. They beat the Cavalier's 4-1 in the series and went
16-1 in the playoffs. The Warriors were first in the league, and Stephen
Curry had a 13 three pointer game. Kevin Durant won the NBA finals MVP.
This is the Warrior's history as a franchise. I hope you become a basketball
fan.
NBA vs NCAAB
The NBA and NCAAB have a lot of similarities and differences. The
first difference is that the NBA has older and more experienced players and
was established in 1946. There are 30 teams, and in the postseason the
top 16 teams play in the playoffs. The top 2 teams then play in the NBA
finals. The NBA also has a big fan base. Another difference is that the
NCAAB has younger players with less experience. It was established in
1891, and every team has a marching band. They a lso have louder fans to
cheer on their teams. There are 347 division 1 teams and the top 68 teams
play in a tournament in March called, ¨March Madness¨. The top 2 teams
in that tournament will play on the first Monday of April f or the National
Championship. Some similarities are, that they have players and coaches
in there leagues. Both do tailgating and fan bases. The final two teams play
in a championship game to see who is the best teams in their leagues.
Both leagues are very old. Both leagues are over 65 years old. T his shows
the similarities and differences of the NBA and the NCAAB league.
The Effect of a Good Team
In order to win in basketball, you need to have a good team. One
effect of having a good team is winning the championship. When you have
the best team, you get more points. A lso, the other team will not do better
than you. They will score fewer points since you have a better defense. If
your team is good, then it could be the best team in the league. If you're a
winner, you get a title of best team in the league. Since you are the
greatest team ever, t hen you could go down in history, as the best team in
history. These are some effects of having a very good basketball team.
A Basketball Problem
In basketball, you have to use a basketball. But, one
problem is that you have a deflated ball. It would be very
hard to dribble and shoot the basketball then. One thing
not to do is to cry. What you could do is, go get a
basketball pump and blow the basketball up. Also, you
could go to a store and get a new basketball. One other
thing you could do is to go find something else to do, like
baseball, football, video games, or watch T.v. Those are
reasons how you can solve the problem of a deflated
basketball.
