จากใจชาย 84 ปี ที่ยงั คงม่ัน และม่นั คง...

และยนื ยงในความฝัน

ชีวิตน้ันสำคัญไฉน เกิดมาเพ่ืออะไร... เพราะเหตุนี้จึงได้เกิดสัญญาใจให้ได้จัดทำ
หนังสือเป็นบันทึก จากใจส่วนลึกท่ีสุดนี้ฝากไว้เป็นอนุสรณ์ จากบทตอนของชีวิตของเด็ก
บ้านนอก ชาวนา เด็กวัดคนหนึ่ง ที่ได้พยายามดิ้นรนต่อสู้อยู่บนโลกใบนมี้ าตามแบบฉบับ
ของตัวเอง ในบริบทของสังคมส่ิงแวดลอ้ ม วัฒนธรรมทเี่ ป็นบุญกรรมกำหนดโชคชะตามา
ตามวิถีของสัตวโ์ ลกและสรรพส่ิง เปรียบเปน็ ห่ิงห้อยตวั นอ้ ยท่ไี มต่ ้องแข่งแสงจันทร์ แตอ่ ยู่
กับความมุ่งม่ัน ฝันใฝ่อย่างย่ิงใหญ่และไม่เคยหยุด เพ่ือการหม่ันสร้างสรรค์และพัฒนา
ชวี ิตของตัวเองอยา่ งดีทส่ี ดุ สดุ กำลังทีม่ .ี ..

ดช.พา นายพา ดร.พา อธิการพา ส.ส.พา สว.พา เตบิ โตมาได้เพราะบญุ บารมีของ
พ่อ-แม่ หลวงพ่อ ครอบครัว พ่ีน้อง ครู อาจารย์ ลูกหลาน ญาติมิตร โดยเฉพาะลูกศิษย์
ในช่วงชีวิตบั้นปลายน้ี สุดท่ีจะจารึกช่ือท้ังหมดทั้งหลายได้ แต่ก็ขอจารึกเป็นลายลักษณ์
อกั ษรแทนจิตวญิ ญาณส่วนลกึ ที่สุดไว้วา่ ...

“ขอบคุณ ขอบใจอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ จากใจและจากวิญญาณส่วนลึกที่สุด
ขอบคุณสถาบันแห่งสุดท้ายคือ มหาวิทยาลัยภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ที่ได้เป็นเวทีให้
ดร.พา ได้แสดง สร้างเสริมชีวิตตนและสร้างสรรค์สิ่งที่ดีๆ ให้แก่ผู้ที่เป็นที่รัก โดยเฉพาะ
ลูกศิษย์ (ลูก+ศิษย์) ผู้สถาปนา ผู้บริหาร ผู้รับผิดชอบมหาวิทยาลัย ครู อาจารย์ เพื่อน
รว่ มงาน พนักงานทุกชวี ิต”

หากมีส่ิงใดที่เป็นข้อบกพร่อง ผิดพลาดโดยมิได้เจตนา ก็ขอให้ถือว่าเป็น

เรือ่ งของปถุ ชุ นคนธรรมดาท่เี กดิ มไี ด้กับทกุ คน และนายพา ดร.พา ขออภยั !

ชวี ิตในวันน้ีท่ีมีลมหายใจและมีจุดยืนอยู่ตรงนด้ี ้วยมีความเช่ือและปณิธาน

งานท่ียิ่งใหญ่สำหรับชายวัย 84 ปี คนนี้จะมีขึ้นและสำเร็จลงไม่ได้หากไม่ได้รับ
น้ำใจจากศิษย์ Ph.D. อันเป็นท่ีรักย่ิงทุกคน ทุกรุ่น ท่ีมีคณบดี คณะศึกษาศาสตร์
ผศ.ดร.วานิช ประเสริฐพร, ดร.อดลุ ย์ พิมพท์ อง, ดร.ยทุ ธศาสตร์ กงเพชร,
ผอ.ศักดาเดช ทาซ้าย, ผศ.ดร.เอกราช โฆษิตพิมานเวช, ดร.ภรณช์ นก ไกยสวน,

ชีวิตนี้ ภพน้ี เกดิ มีไดม้ าเป็นหิง่ หอ้ ยนอ้ ยๆ ตัวหนงึ่ ถงึ วันนี้ เพราะ..................
“มีพ่อ แม่ พ่ีน้อง พระครู หลวงปู่ ผู้บังคับบัญชา ครูอาจารย์ ลูกหลาน
ภรรยา เพ่ือน พี่ ที่ร่วมงาน ญาติมิตร พ่ีน้องประชาชนร่วมถ่ินแผ่นดินเกิด อันเป็นท่ี

ละความช่ัว ทำตัว ทำใจ ให้สะอาด ย่ิงยง ดีงาม มีความจริงใจและจริงจังเป็นเดิมพัน

ชวี ิตตอ้ งสู้ ศัตรู และ ปญั หา คอื ยากำลงั ใจ
ไมเ่ คยคดิ โทษใคร แก้ไข ทต่ี นเองดีทีส่ ดุ
ลขิ ิตฟา้ หรือจะสูม้ านะคน ส้ทู นและอดทนได้เปน็ ดีทสี่ ุด
การใช้ความรู้ ความคิด มีสติปัญญา สมาธิ เป็นฐาน มีความมานะ มุ่งม่ัน บาก
บั่น อดทน เป็น อาวุธ ประกอบด้วย ความสุจริต บริสุทธ์ิ สะอาด ยิ่งใหญ่ของหัวใจ จะ
นำไปสูก่ ารแก้ไขปญั หาและภาวะวิกฤต ทง้ั หลายได้อยา่ งดี

การแกป้ ัญหา การพฒั นา และการศึกษาทั้งหลายแหลท่ ่ีแท้นัน้ อยูแ่ คใ่ จ!

ห้วงเวลาแห่งความทุกข์เศร้าปวดร้าววิกฤตมีวันจางหายผ่านพ้นไปได้ แต่
ลกู ผชู้ ายที่แกรง่ กลา้ จะยืนหยดั ได้

“ของแท้ไม่แพ้ภัย.......ทองแทไ้ มแ่ พไ้ ฟ”

➢ DRAW OUT VICTORY FROM ANY SETBACK. “ดึงเกร็ดแห่งชัย
ชนะจากความพ่ายแพ้ในทุกสภาวะกรณี”

➢ NOTHING IS SO FULL OF VICTORY AS PATIENCE. “ ไม่ มี สิ่ ง
วิเศษยิ่งใหญ่อันใดท่ีทำให้เกิดความสัมฤทธ์ิ และประสบชัยได้ ย่ิงกว่าความพากเพียร
พยายาม และความอดทน”

➢ SELF-CONQUEST IS THE BEST STRATGY AND ALSO THE
GREATEST OF ALL VICTORIES. “การเอาชนะตนเองได้ คือ ยุทธศาสตร์ท่ีดีที่สุด

บทเรยี นข้อคิด

มีความเห็นว่า ชีวิตท่ีผ่านมาจากการตรวจสอบของประชาชน และประชาชน
ยอมรับได้ ด้วยการให้ความเชื่อถือ เช่ือมือ เชื่อใจ โดยไม่ได้ใช้อามิสมอมเมา ได้มาเป็น
เร่ืองไม่ง่าย แต่ก็ไม่ยากเกินกำลัง หากมีพื้นฐานของการเป็นคนดี มีพลัง มีเน้ือแท้ท่ีเป็น
ทองเป็นของมีค่าที่ผู้คนพอมองเห็นได้แต่นักการเมืองที่มีแผล มีตำหนิ ท่ีทวนกระแสและ
ฝืนความรู้สึกของประชาชนนั้นยากท่ีจะประสบความสำเร็จในการเลือกต้ังและมักจะพบ
กับความผดิ หวังและความบอบซำ้ แมจ้ ะตอ้ งลงทนุ มาก

“นำ้ นอ้ ยย่อมแพไ้ ฟ แต่ เพชรก็คอื เพชร”

การคิดดี ทำดี พดู ดี มีจดุ ยืน มเี ปา้ หมายที่ยงิ่ ใหญ่ สูงส่ง ม่งั คง บนฐานของความ
ซื่อสัตย์ สะอาด จริงใจ จริงจัง ต่อตนเองและผู้อ่ืน เป็นส่ิงที่ยืนยง และทรงคุณค่า
มากกว่า ผลของการเลือกต้ังหรือการมีชัยชนะในการแข่งขันใดๆในชีวิตคน SELF-
CONQUEST IS THE GREATEST CONQUERING!

จดุ แข็งของชีวติ

1. มีความมานะ พยายามสูงมีใจจดจ่อจริงจังและจริงใจ รักดีมีพลังในการ
พฒั นาเติมเต็มให้กับชวี ติ อยู่เสมอมา

2. ชอบศึกษาหาความรู้ และมีแรงใจใฝ่สัมฤทธ์ิสูง มุ่งมั่น ได้รับความสำเร็จใน
การศึกษาเล่าเรียนด้วยดี กลายเป็นนิสัยและเป็นบรรทัดฐานให้กับชีวิตของตนเอง จะทำ
อะไรก็มักอยากจะทำให้ดีท่ีสุดเสมอ ค่อนข้างจะโน้มเอียงไปทาง Perfectionist อยู่มาก
ทำอะไรแบบพอผ่านลวกๆไม่เป็น การคิดพิจารณาและกระทำสิ่งต่างๆจึงค่อนข้างช้า แต่
จะมง่ั คงและชัดเจนเป็นมรรคผลอยา่ งดเี สมอ

3. ฐานชีวิตดี มีพ่อ – แม่ ที่มีหัวใจเสือ คือสู้และทระนง สร้างตนเองด้วยลำ
แข้ง แข็งแกร่งมานะ บากบน่ั มน่ั คง จรงิ จัง เสียสละอย่างมาก

วิชาลูกเสือ การกีฬา วัด โรงเรียนกิน-นอน เป็นส่วนสำคัญในการขัดเกลาบ่ม
เพาะส่งิ ทีด่ ีงามให้กบั ชีวิตอยา่ งมาก

4. มีฐานใจ สติปัญญา อารมณ์ ค่อนข้างดี แต่อาจมีลักษณะเงียบขรึม จริงจัง
มากอยู่บ้าง ซึ่งเป็นผลมาจากการติดนิสัยที่ไม่ค่อยมีเพ่ือนเล่นในสมัยเยาว์วัย เพราะต้อง
อยู่ในป่า ทุ่งนา ดงดอย สัตว์ป่า วัว ควาย จับกบ จับเขียด จับปลาตามรอยไถ ในยามท่ี
พ่อไถนาอยู่กับธรรมชาติ เงียบเหงา ซึมซับอยู่กับสายน้ำแดดลม แมกไม้ป่าเขา ชอบอ่าน
กลอนเสนาะ ขับเสภา ร้องเพลง ดื่มด่ำอยู่กบั เสยี งแคน เสยี งโหวต เสยี งสะนูวา่ ว เสียงกบ
เขียด หมอลำ คำคม อารมณ์รักสมัยเด็กที่ยังสดใสในความทรงจำ ยังอยู่กับชีวิตมิรู้วันจะ
ลืมได้ ลึกซ้ึง ออนซอนมาก ทุกวันนี้ก็ยังกลับไปนั่งที่นาทอดอารมณ์กับสุดยอดของ
อารมณเ์ ก่าๆ

“สุข ซ้ึง ซึมซ่านอะไรป่านนั้น...มันคือชีวิตเด็กบา้ นนอกในชนบทท่ีมีความหมาย
และมคี วามยิง่ ใหญ่ทีส่ ดุ ! ภาพพจนพ์ อ่ แม่ พี่ น้อง ในทุ่งนาปา่ เขา นก หนู งู อง่ึ เหด็ ตะไค
เห็ดระโงก สารพัดเห็ด สารพัดผักพืชในป่าในนาที่เป็นทั้งอาหารและความเพลิดเพลิน
เจรญิ ใจ และในขณะน้ตี อ้ งกลบั ไปดแู ลรกั ษาและพัฒนาเอาไว้

5. พื้นฐานการศึกษาประสบการณ์จากเด็กบ้านนอกชาวนาท่ียากจน เด็กวัด
เด็กหอของโรงเรียนฝึกหัดครูบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา ที่ มศว.ประสานมิตร และ Ohio
State University ท้ังหลายเหล่านี้ ได้ให้ส่ิงมีคุณค่ามีภูมิคุ้มกันสูงอยู่กับคนชื่อพา ในการ
ดำรงชีวติ และประกอบกิจการงานและการตอ่ สจู้ นมาอย่จู ดุ น้ีในวันน้ี

ประสบการณ์นานับจากประดับครอบครัว หมู่บ้าน ชุมชน จนถึงระดับชาติ
ระดับนานาชาติ น่าจะเชื่อว่า มีชีวิตได้สัมผัสผ่านร้อนผ่านหนาวมามากระดับหน่ึง อย่าง
น้อยก็กว่า 80 ปี แล้วกค็ งพอจะทำให้มองหนา้ เหลียวหลงั อา่ นชวี ิต เขา้ ใจชวี ิต เข้าใจโลก
ไดถ้ ึงแกน่ สารพอสมควรบ้างแล้ว และตกผลึกความคดิ และชวี ติ ตามกำลังท่ตี ัวเองไดอ้ ุตสา
สะสมมา

จากประสบการณ์ ท่ีผ่านมา การมองโลก การเข้าใจชีวิต พิจารณาปัญหาต่างๆ
ก็ยังไม่ค่อยได้พบกับความผิดพลาด ล้มเหลวอะไรมากหรือคิดว่าในอนาคตที่เหลืออยู่ไม่

มากนี้ก็ไม่น่าจะพลาดพลั้งลงไปได้ง่ายๆ แบบไร้สติหรือลุอำนาจ กิเลสอะไรแล้ว น่าจะ
นำพาชีวิตตัวเองสู่ความสำเร็จ สุขสันต์ไดจ้ นนาที่สุดท้ายของการสน้ิ ใจ! อยา่ งย่ิงใหญ่ตาม
ความคิดของตัวเองที่ว่า “แก่อย่างมีคุณค่า ชราอย่างมีความหมาย ยิ่งใหญ่ด้วยศักดา
บารมี และตายอย่างมีท่ีไป... คือ หลับสนิทไปอยูกับผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของ ดร.พา คือ พ่อไพ
และแมพ่ ร”

6. ชีวิตได้พยายามตักตวง เติมเต็มเพื่อความครบเครื่องตามกำลังสติปัญญา
ความรู้ความคิด ความสามารถพอสมควรแล้ว จะขาดเหลืออย่างไรก็ถือว่าตัวเองได้สู้ ได้
สร้างไดเ้ สียสละ มาอย่างเต็มกำลงั และไม่เคยลดละมาตลอดชีวติ และยังคงมไี ฟท่คี กุ รุ่น
พอในการท่ีจะทำดี และทำดีท่ีสุดตอ่ ไป เพ่ิมพลังความดีงาม เพื่อเป็นอนุสรณ์ให้ชีวิตและ
สงั คมประเทศชาตโิ ดยเฉพาะการทดแทนคณุ ท้องถิ่นแผ่นดินเกิด และผู้มีพระคุณทุกๆคน
ด้วยชวี ิต ท้ังชวี ติ อยา่ งจริงจัง และจรงิ ใจ!

จดุ อ่อนของชีวติ

1. มีนิสัยสนุก ใช้เวลากับความสนุก สุขสำราญค่อนข้างมาก โดยเฉพาะการด่ืม
และการคร้ึมในอารมณ์ และความคิด ซึง่ ส่วนมากจะเป็นเวลาเย็นค่ำหลังเลิกงานหรอื หลัง
การออกกำลังกายและเล่นกอล์ฟ ในบางคร้ังก็ดูออกจะมากไป แต่ก็พยายามให้ความรัก
ให้อภัย และต้ังใจปรับปรุงแก้ไขตัวเองอย่างผู้มีหัวใจแห่งการเรียนรู้และการเพ่ิมพูน
พัฒนาอยา่ งไมม่ วี ันส้นิ สดุ

2. เป็นคนขเ้ี กรงใจคนมากไป ขาดเทคนิคในการปฏิเสธและการตอ่ รอง ใจออ่ น
งา่ ย ข้นขา้ งซือ่ กบั คน ใหเ้ กียรตคิ น เชื่อคนมากเกนิ ไป ไม่ชอบการคิดอะไรใหม้ ากเรอ่ื ง คิด
ว่าอะไรท่ีตัวเองแก้ได้ทนได้ก็ยอมไปแม่สอนว่า”ผิดใจเราดีกว่าผิดใจเขา ผิดใจเขาเอาคืน
ไม่ได”้

ไม่ชอบการโตเ้ ถยี ง ฟ้องร้อง หรือเรียกร้องอะไรมากจึงมกั จะเสียเปรียบและเก็บ
ทุกข์หนักให้กับตัวเองเสมอมักจะเป็นผู้แก้มาตลอด แต่ก็คิดว่าดีท่ีได้สู้ทุกข์ ทำให้ชีวิตมี
น้ำหนัก การแก้ทกุ ข์ได้คือชัยชนะท่พี ระพทุ ธเจา้ สอน

3. เป็นคนพูดท่ีมีน้ำเสียงอ้อแอ้ ขาดพลังอำนาจทางวาจาและน้ำเสียง สาเหตุ
เกิดจากการพูดพึมพำในลำคอเพราะการเกรงใจคนอ่ืนเป็นธรรมชาติวิสัยเลยกลายเป็น
การพูดไม่ชัด ขาดน้ำหนักและความกังวาน รวมท้ังการใช้ภาษาไทย(กลาง)ยังไม่ดีพอ ก็
พยายามแก้ไขปรบั ปรุงตัวเองอยเู่ สมอตราบเท่าทุกวนั นี้

4. ขาดทักษะความรู้ความสามรถด้าน IT โดยเฉพาะด้านเทคโนโลยีท่ีจะต้อง
รีบปรับปรุงแก้ไขอย่างรีบด่วนและจริงจัง แต่ก็ยังไม่ก้าวหน้าเท่าท่ีควร ยังเป็นยาขมของ
ชวี ิต เป็น “ความคิดทต่ี ้องเปลยี่ น” โดยเดด็ ขาด

5. ขาดการบันทึก จารึกไว้เป็นเอกสาร องค์ความรู้ให้กับบรรพชนรุ่นหลังได้
ศกึ ษา

สุดท้าย....ปั้นปลายแห่งชีวิต จากสภาส่ภู าวะความเป็นครู ครูที่มหาวิทยาลัย
ภาคตะวนั ออกเฉียงเหนอื ขอนแกน่

มีความสุข ความสงบ สันติ ยินดีและพยายามทำดีที่สุดกับงานในหน้าท่ี ภาระ
รับผิดชอบ ได้เรียนรู้ ร่วมอยู่ ร่วมทำงานกับผู้ประกอบการ ผู้บริหาร เพื่อนร่วมงาน
โดยเฉพาะเพ่ือร่วมงานและลูกศิษย์อย่างใกลช้ ดิ เป็นหน่วยงานท่ีไดพ้ บวา่ “ถกู คอ ถูกใจ”
(Congeniality) ท่ีน่าจะเรียกได้ว่าเป็นสุดยอดของคุณภาพชีวิตส่วนหนึ่ง ได้เพื่อนทั้งใน
และนอกสถาบัน ในวงการกีฬาที่ชอบ ประกอบกับได้มีเวลากอบกู้พัฒนาผืนนาท่ีบิดา-
มารดาผู้บังเกิดเกล้าได้สู้ถากถางสร้างสมเอาไว้ให้มีความหมายเกิดการพัฒนาก้าวหน้า
ย่ิงใหญ่ขึ้น..ด้วยวิญญาณรักผูกพัน และปณิธาณที่จะรักษาพัฒนาผืนดินผืนนาทุก
ตารางนิ้วท่ีพ่อ- แม่ สู้หาไว้ ..ให้โลกรู้วา่ แรงกตัญญูนั้นมีความหมายยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด สำหรับ

บุคคลตน้ แบบและผสู้ รา้ งแรงบันดาลใจ

บุคคลอันดับหน่ึงและคนที่สำคัญท่ีสุดคือ คือ คุณพ่อ “นายไพร อักษรเสือ
“คนท่ีมีหัวใจเสือ และคุณแม่”พร อักษรเสือ” ที่มีหัวใจให้เสือและใจดสี ู้เสือ บุกป่าฝ่า
ดง ถางพงทำนาด้วยน้ำมือตัวเองถึง 200 กว่าไร่ ภายในอายุของพ่อท่ีเสียชีวิต เมือท่าน
อายุเพียง 58 ปีวีรกรรมน้ีที่ลูกอย่างนายพา อักษรเสือได้ตระหนักอย่างสุดซึ้งและจะผดุง
รักษาไว้ด้วยชีวิต พ่อ-แม่ ชาวนา ผู้กล้าส่งลูกเรียนต่อมัธยมศึกษาสมัยนั้นแบกภาระ
ครอบครัวที่มีลูกเกิดร่วมชีวิต 13 คน (ตาย 7 เหลือ 6) ได้เข้าศึกษาต่อถึง 4คน ไม่
เคยคิดถึงความยากลำบากหรืออยากได้แรงงานอะไรจากลูกเลย คำพูดที่กินใจที่สุดของ
พอ่ กค็ ือ “อยา่ มาขุดดินซาวหญา้ ยากซาอยู่อย่างน้ีเลยลกู ”

วันสุดท้ายที่ลูกชายได้ทุนไปเรียนครูท่ีโรงเรียนฝึกหัดครูบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา
พ่อได้นำวัวคู่ชีวิตคู่เดียวท่ีมีอยู่เดินทางจูงวัวจากบ้านแวงใหญ่ไปขายให้แขกที่อำเภอพล
ระยะทางเดิน 28 กิโลเมตร ต้องออกจากแวงใหญ่ตั้งแต่ตีสอง จึงต้องขายวัวอย่างเร่งรีบ
จึงถูกดราคาขูดเลือดเพราะจะต้องเอาเงินส่งลูกให้ทันรถไฟเข้ากรุงเทพ เที่ยวเช้าตอน 9
โมงเช้าพ่อวิ่งตามรถไฟเอาเงินส่งให้ลูกทางหน้าต่างรถไฟ จากวันน้ันเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม
พ.ศ. 2498 อ้ันเป็นวันสุดท้ายแห่งการล่ำลากันระหว่างพ่อไพกับลูกชาย(นายพา)เพราะ
โรคร้ายได้คร่าชีวิตพ่อไปในวัยที่ยังแข็งแกร่งและมีความหวังตั้งตาดูความสำเร็จของลูก
พ่อท้ิงความย่ิงใหญ่ในชีวิตไว้ให้ลูกพร้อมหัวใจเสือที่ทระนงในศักด์ิศรีของตัวอย่างน่ายก
ย่องที่สุด “อดอยากเย่ียงอย่างเสือ สงวนศักด์ิ ไซก็เสาะใส่ท้องจับเพ่ือกินเอง” นายพาจะ
ทำทุกอยา่ งเพอ่ื พอ่ -แม่ และวงศต์ ระกูล

พ่อเสียชีวิตเพราะช่วยเหลือคนอื่นท่ีเป็นโรคน้าย(อหิวา) สร้างทุกอย่างด้วยลำ

Pha’s Life Platform

Once up on a time, there was a small somehow smart boy born in
1938, 5 years before the smoke of World War II. His parents are Pai and
Porn, the farmers and Natives of Baan Waingyai, Amphoe Phol (by that
time, not Amphoe Waingyai yet), Khon Kaen. This young boy’s name is

Pha Agsonsua. His parents had 13 children with 7 dead only 6 survived.
Father Pai and mother P0rn had great, grand vision unlike other villagers
who morally need labor from their children. All male children of Pai’ s
family were sent to further their learning in secondary school quite far
away from Waingyai since the year 1940’s there were no secondary schools
at district level. Phra was sent to be a temple boy at Wat Srinual, Amphoe
Meuang Khon Kean in 1948, serving monks for a living to be able to go to
school.

“ Where there is a will, there is a way” The great saying that

Pha happened to come across quite early in life, a chance to live in the
building where the priest Governor of Khon Kaen stayed. Pha was trying
his best to prove himself a good and great temple boy through service and
education. He was the best student of Khon Kaen Withayayon and the best
temple boy during the year 1948 – 1954. Pha won admiration and effection
from the priest governor of Khon Kaen (Most Venerable Prarachasaradhamuni,)

He also supported Pha while Pha already had won the scholarship studying
at Baan Somdet Teacher Training school during 1955 – 1957.

Great deeds reward itself. Finishing school at Baan Somdet,
Pha was selected as top student to study on scholarship at the college of
Education at Prasarnmit (Now, Srinakharinwirot University)

Realizing that being on Scholarship and being among the top
students in the country, by that time, was an opportunity and it was a real
opportune moment to move far ahead with great momentum, Pha took a
short cut getting Secondary Education Certificate within two and a half
years while the other took five years to complete. What a success…!
He was the only one in the country who just only finished lower Certificate
Education in six months and passed the test of Secondary Higher
Certificate (พ.ม.) in 1958.

“ For a man of might, drive and determination, nothing can stop
him” Great decision was made rightly and courageously. He quitted
studying while being in the freshman year at College of Education at
Prasarnmit and started being an elementary school teacher at Sanarmbin
School in July 1958 at the age of 19 with a degree of พ . ม . ( Secondary
Education Certificate). Quite young and very smart and promising, isn’t
it?

With a burning desire and determination to further his study
with salary on leave, he tried every possible ways to master and be
proficient in English Language for better and smarter studies at high level
in the country and abroad. Aha..! Luck and success came to the one who
really, really wants and seriously work for it.

During 2 years of hard work, endurance and service, an energetic,
ardent, young and prospective elementary school teacher, he definitely
planned to further his study with salary scholarship on leave to finish his
last 2 years of Bachelor degree. This time, again, Pha made another great
success. It was not luck or fortune but it was an achievement through
hardworking, strong determination, burning desire, intention and
preparation. Since then, Pha’s path was to his dream has been paved with
roses, highly seasoned with great willpower and solid momentum. No time
to waste! “Sprint and strive as hard and fast as possible.” It was the time
to prove his courage and to test his ambition. It’s a real test for a man who
wants to move the mountain.

Nothing is beyond one’s reach, if he really, really wants to get it.
This is not an empty rhetoric! It is the fact. It is the truth. Pha got salary
on leave on a scholarship to finish his another great 2 years for his

Bachelor Degree in Education. With confident and certainty! Nothing
impassible! He earned the B. Ed. with honor extended to him as the

Number one student of the year graciously handed to him by King
Bhumibol, the great with the presence of the royal family. What’s a great,
grand event? Imagine how excited, how exhilarated noun Pha was!

Tenacity, preparation, luck and success come together at the right
time. The impossible becomes possible is a man is tough enough and

really, really true to himself and seriously commits to his own purpose for
excellence.

After graduation from Prasarnmit, Pha went back to teach at
Sanambin school again and the relentless, non-stop young teacher did
another great, grand deed again. Guess… what? He won Fulbright
scholarship in December 1959( only 6 months after graduation with BE. In
Ed. With honor). What a strives! What a great leap! Nothing possible! The
world is Pha’s

On the way to America, Pha was assigned, guided and directed to
study at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A. For Master
Degree. Professor Dr. Saroj Buasri, the founder of College of Education at

Prasarnmit ( now Srinakarinwirote Univertsity) is an distinguished
alumnus of this Big-Ten university.

Life in amazing America was great, exciting, challenging and
really inspiring. Imagine …young, enthusiastic Pha with all pride,
privilege, excitement and achievement at the Big-Ten university of the
United States. It was, of course, not common. It was extraordinary!

Back to Thailand in 1964 after finishing the M. A. degree which
was done within less than one and a half years from Ohio State
University, Pha was promoted to be educational supervisor of Region 9.
Life changed from smart student and teacher to teacher leader. Life was
tested in the battle field of mess, marriage, merry and learning how to face
the evil.
(1964-1971) The decade of Mess, Merry, Marriage, Mastermind, and Life

Searching
At the beginning of the supervisory responsibility, it was quite

exciting and challenging for a young elementary school teacher. Taking
care of English teachers in 5 provinces of Region 9 Area Office along with
teaching Thai language to American GIs at Udorn Thani Air Force Base

was fun and of great experience. Pha was also an instructor of the
University of Maryland, Far East Division by that time (1965-1971).

Life was not all success, achievement and happiness. Pha
experience over 5 years of stagnation, depress, suffering and torment. The
main causes were

1. Too much a burning desire to pursua a doctoral degree but
Thai government had no need for doctoral degree for teachers working at
elementary school level by that time.

2. Life at early middle age was not yet socially, emotionally
matured, far less of spirituality.

3. Too naive innocent and unhappy about married life that caused
stress, frustration and illusion. Anyhow, after a certain period of studying
spirituality, Pha found that the best result entertainment of education is
tolerance that kept him calm, silent,serious, solemn and at the ultimate
deliberation, peaceful. Thanks God!

Mighty rivers can overflow, override and overcome any barriers..!
Nobody and nothing can stop the flaming spirit of the young, ardent,
rigorous and enthusiastic Pha..!

Being a teacher, even though already being a supervisor at
Elementary Education level, Pha could not find a way out of being trapped
in the elementary Education Department regulations. The only way to be

able to further study at doctoral degree was to be the position of an
instructor in higher education institution. Whatever will be, will be, Pha

decided to transfer to be an instructor in higher institution and the plan
was a success. He was able to transfer to be an instructor of Sakon Nakorn
Teacher’s College.

Two years of preperation for pursuing a doctoral degree while
teaching at Sakon Nakhorn Teacher College was more than enough. Pha
got a scholarship from Southern Illinois University, Illinois, USA. In 1971.
Sky is no limit..! Once the opportunity came, Pha decisively took charge
with the heart of steel. Once luck comes it, comes in siries..! Professor
Arthur E. Lean who initiated and offerred Pha’s scholarship gladly took
Pha, as his advisee. What a word it is..!

Pha’s studies had no problem, no difficulty. Professor and advisee
got along very well. They seemed like father and son. How lucky poor Pha!

Within two and a half years. Pha got his Ph. D. in Educational

Administration with almost straight As and his name was initiated and

endorsed by Professor Doctor Arthur E. Lean to be a member of KAPPA
DELTA PI right after the graduation in 1974. KAPPA DELTA PI is an

International Honor Society in Education.
The dream came true. The world is Pha’ s. A bird with eagle’ s

wings can soar high and fly as wishes. Back to Thailand, Pha worked as a

Supervisor in Teacher Training Department, Ministry of Education for 2
years and at Mahasarakham Teacher College for 3 years. In 1980, Pha was
appointed a president of Chiangrai Teacher College. Finishing his four-

year term, he moved to Loei Teacher College where he worked for another
two terms (8 years) as teacher college presidency.

While working at Loei Teacher College, Pha realized the chance to
be in politics because most students from Khon Kaen, Pha’ s homeland
came to study at this college. The dream came true again! By the end of
his eight year term of college presidency, he took courage to run for M.P.
(Member of Parliament) of Khon Kaen. The impossible is possible again.

Actually, Pha still had 5 more years to be in the job of presidency but he
was crazy enough to just follow him own bliss. God must be with him. He
won the election with the least money of all.

Two terms of MP. In Thailand Parliament was the beginning of
Pha’s political path. He then also ran for Thailand senator in 1990 at the
age of 62 and again he won the race and was a Chairman of the
Committee of Education, Culture and Arts of the Senate chamber. Six and
a half years as Thailand senator in the Parliamentary Assembly was really
a privilege and honor with the spirit of great service for the public good
was a legacy for him, and for his homeland.

Is that all the wishes? ………Enough?
Enough for politics. But great life must move on…!
Now at age of 69. Should be retired?
But for Pha -No retirement!

BACK TO EDUCATION ARENA
From the year 2010 up to this moment at Northeastern University
as a teacher and also was also once a president. Pha succinctly stated his
spiritual love brand from his heart.

“Love the university as a real home,
Love students as sons and daughters, as grandsons and granddaughters,
Love all staffs and personnel as closed and intimate relatives
Devoutly dedicate the whole life for excellent work and for the greatness of
the university with intention, strong determination with noble mind and
high spirit.”

Fourteen years at NEU seems like a short while swiftly past. Pha
loves teaching and be of great services to all of his beloved students. He

regards teaching and helping students to be of greatness, success,
prosperity and happiness as his scared duty for life fulfillment of his
students. His words of promise and the calling of being a great teacher he
has been embracing should last until his last breath. It’s not too much for

him to be named
“A good man of the Land”under royal signature of the Supreme

Patriarch in 2010.

As a university teacher, he was named “ A teacher in heart and soul of
students” twice. As a golfer, he shot the 209 yards Hole-in-One with a
driver at the Royal Military Golf Course, Bangkok. It is unbelievable but it
happened. Once in a blue moon a miracle happens in our life. Luck is the
combination of talent and preparation.

Enough for success and achievement.

A DECADE AHEAD TO COME (2022-2032)

Let me share with you my favorite quotes of wisdom from some great
minds so that you will know what I (Pha) am now thinking and looking
forward to being and doing in the next decade. I am confident that I am
still young in heart at the age of 84. I plan to live at least another ten more
years with grace and gratitude for goodness and greatness sake.
