Transfigurations Steven W. Marcus


Steven W. Marcus is proud to present a new collection of his visionary mixed media artwork for 2020.
Using an original technique called "fractal collage" Marcus creates dazzling and luminous images whose subjects range from the vastness of the cosmos to the primordial energies of quantum realms - from the surreal lifeforms of imaginary seas to the delicate dance of microscopic flora and fauna. His rich chromatic style encompasses both abstract and realistic vistas which draw the viewer into fantastic and dreamy unseen worlds.
In addition to his own creations, Steven Marcus has worked with some of the great lights of the Art World - including Erté, Felix DeWeldon and Isaac Witkin. His oil paintings on canvas have been featured in Dyansen Galleries in Carmel, CA and in numerous private collections.
He is also a published musician and lyricist, a founding member of the 80’s cult band Iam Siam and the son of legendary producer, arranger and composer Artie Ripp
