INTRODUCTION

Revit is an Autodesk product and is a building
information modelling software for architects,
landscape architects, designer engineers, and
contractors. Using Revit, we can create different
templates for architectural drawings, structural
drawings, and MEP drawings and can work
simultaneously using the collaborate tool.

This semester is for the subject BBY11404-
BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING. Given 1
project assignment to work in groups on, We
have got a revit project entitled "Project Revit
Architecture Essentials." It is a revit project for a
two-storey house. The name of this project is a
proposal to build and complete 1 unit of a 2-
storey stone house. Based on the plan obtained
for the house, the details are located on lot pt
5153, Bukit Merbau, Bukit Java district, and Pasir
Puteh , Kelantan.

TASK 1: AFIQAH
GRID AND ELEVATION

Introduction how to make grid line and elevation:
i. The first step,must open revit application.
ii Second, must Save new project file and name it. Iii
iii. Before pressing the button must open the option first and edit

maximum backups as 3 (file).

iv. Click at default metric and ok.

v. . After saving and backup file, you must find the insert and click on
link CAD to enter the data and open ground plan.

vi. Then, find the file of Ground Plan and before open this plan you
must edit the positioning to “centre to centre’’ and the import
units to “ millimetre ’’.

vii. After open this plan, you can started make a grid line according the
section on this plan. Must click on architecture and grid button.

Introduce how to make wall:
i. Press the button of wall click the wall thickness and wall type is

Click the button of edit type > click duplicate > change the wall
type as “BRICKWALL” > ok (as save).
ii. Edit assembly and make layer and insert the membrane layer,
finish 1, paint and structure.

iii. Next, press the "modify" button and find the round shape and box
that is to make the wall part and the inner wall part.

Instructions how to make architectural component: -FIRST FLOOR-
i. First, for the first component is door.
ii. We need choose the right door like the plan needed. Before apply
the door must duplicate the type and edit the height and width.
iii. After that, choose the door in folder component in Revit.
IV. To make door,click architecture > Door > Load Family(Choose the door for
room).Click Door > edit type> make duplicate > edit width and height > click
the place need to added the door.
