MESSAGE FROM HEAD COACH OF JAMS

Welcome to JAMS – Being one of the leading Academy of Taekwondo, JAMS is the most disciplined
academy For learning Taekwondo, JAMS is the best academy where the training programme is tailored
to different abilities and age groups. Our objective is to impart coaching and top-notch training to
young and aspiring athletes in Taekwondo through. Our training sessions are focused on both itness
and technical skills, with a variety of exercises designed to increase lexibility, improve stamina and
enhance coordination, regardless of your skill level. We train in both Kyorugi (Sparring) and Poomsae
(Patterns), and there are many opportunities for students to take these skills to competitions
throughout India and abroad too.
We are here to build out a Champion from you and help you to become a better version of
yourself.
TAEKWONDO comes under a High Priority Sports Category (Category – A) for Financial
Assistance, Reservation in Academic Institutions and Employment in Govt. Departments and
PSUs.

INTRODUCTION

“JAMS” stands for Jaguar Academy of Martial Arts &Self Defense.“JAMS” is an af iliated academy of
Odisha Taekwondo Association (OTA) which has got af iliation from Odisha Olympic Association
and Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).

Our specially designed Taekwondo program ensures that, regardless of age, gender and level of
experience, one can develop their strength, endurance, lexibility and various Taekwondo skills. Along
with intense workouts, we teach you discipline, meditation and self-defense to get the best out of life
physically, mentally and spiritually.

FACILITIES AT JAMS

We have indoor training hall fully equipped with taekwondo floor mats, kicking bags, shields,
target mi s, agility ladders, hurdles, cones, markers, resistance bands, etc. Taking into
considera on the safety of the students, in a combat sport like Taekwondo, we have adequate
sparring gears like chest protectors, forearm guards, shin guards, head gears, and more. We also
have all the high standard equipment for the safeguard of the students during sparring session. Our
equipment, from the kicking pads we use in class, to the uniforms and belts and sparring gear we
wear, are the interna onally approved brand, latest and best.

HEAD COACH

A Coach is the most important step in your journey as a student and the irst towards eventual mastery
of a style. He serves as a guide, a partner and a person who supports your overall journey towards
honing your Taekwondo skills.

Mr. Ambika Prasad Dash is the Head Coach at JAMS, specialising in training both adults and
children. Besides producing 14 Nos. of Black Belt athletes and many State, National &
International Champions, our Head Coach has been responsible for the development of many other
facets of Taekwondo. The Head Coach of JAMS has achieved a substantial amount of experience in this
discipline and the best person to impart knowledge and training to the students.

1st Colour Belt Promotion Test (April - 2019)

Our 1st Colour Belt Promotion Test - 2019 was conducted in the premises of JAMS on 07th April,
2019. This programme was inaugurated by our Chief Guest cum Examiner Mr. Manmohan Bhanja,
Secretary General of Odisha Taekwondo Association. Mr. K. Manoj Pradhan, Secretary of GDATA was
also present in this occasion as our Guest of Honour. Mr. Manmohan Bhanja took the Belt Test of the
students of JAMS. Total 29 Nos. of Students appeared the Test and all the students successfully
passed the test and promoted to their respective rank.

12th Open National Taekwondo Championship (April - 2019)

Master Armaan Padhy, a student of JAMS par cipated in 12th Open Na onal Taekwondo Championship -
2019 which was held from 15th to 18th April, 2019 at Aurangabad (Maharastra) organised by Taekwondo
Federa on of India.

He won GOLD Medal in Individual Poomsae Event under Sub Junior Boys Category and he is
also the First Sub-Junior Boy in Odisha who won Gold Medal in Na onal Taekwondo Championship under
Sub Junior Boys Category.

7th Ganjam District Taekwondo Championship (May - 2019)

Total 32 Nos of Student from our Academy par cipated in 7th Ganjam District Taekwondo Championship –
2019 which was held at Chatrapur on 19th May, 2019. Our students grabbed total 42 Nos. of Medals in both
Kyorugi and Poomsae in which 31 Gold Medals, 07 Silver Medals and 04 Bronze Medals

11th WT Asia International Coach License Course (June - 2019)

Mr. Ambika Prasad Dash, Head Coach of JAMS a ended the Interna onal Coach License Course held in
Hyderabad on 9th June, 2019 organized by World Taekwondo Asia. He is successfully qualified the Course and
awarded the Inerna onal Coach License by the President of WT Asia Prof. KyoSeouk Lee

34thJunior State Taekwondo Championship(June - 2019)

Total 06 Nos. of Students of JAMS par cipated in 34th Junior State Taekwondo Chmapionship - 2019 which
was held in Cu ack (Odisha) on 04th June, 2019 organized by Odisha Taekwondo Associa on. Out of 6
students, all the students won Medal in which 04 Gold, 01 Silver and 01 Bronze Medal.

2nd India Open International Taekwondo Championship
(G-1 Rank) (June - 2019)

Total 5 Nos. of Students of JAMS par cipated in G - 1 Ranked 2nd India Open Interna onal Taekwondo
Championship - 2019 which was held in Hyderabad from 11th June to 16th June, 2019 organized by World
Taekwondo.

Out of 5 Nos of Students, we achieved 03 Nos of Medals (01 Silver Medal and 02 Bronze Medal) in

1st Monthly Performance Test (July - 2019)

To assess the athlete's performance, an ini a ve taken by JAMS to conduct a Test on monthly basis on every
last Saturday to evaluate the athlete's improvement/ development. It came into force on July - 2019. The test
is conducted in two separate batches, viz., Beginners Batch and Elite Batch. MPT is compulsory for both the
batch. In the month of July, 2019 on last Saturday i.e. on 27/07/2019, the test was conducted. Total 42 No. of
students par cipated in this Test. A er evalua ng the performance of all the athletes, the top performer of
both the batches rewarded with a Cer ficate as “Best Player of the Month”.

Celebration of National Sports Day (August - 2019

Na onal Sports Day was celebrated in the premises of JAMS on 29th August, 2019. On the eve of Na onal
Sports Day, Trophies are awarded to the Na onal & Interna onal Medallists of JAMS for their outstanding
performance and achievements.

Celebra on of World Taekwondo Day (September - 2019)

World Taekwondo Day was celebrated in the premises of JAMS on 04th September, 2019. On this occasion,
Head Coach of our Academy delivered his about the Importance of the Day to our atheletes. This day was
celebrated by cu ng a Cake with the athletes of JAMS.

Inaugura on of a New Branch at Hinjilicut (October - 2019)

On 04th October, 2019, a New Branch of JAMS was inaugurated by Shri Prasanna Kumar Patra, Block
Development Officer of Hinjilicut Block at Lakshmi Nrusingh Kalamandir, Hinjilicut. He delivered his Speech
regarding the importance of Taekwondo and Self Defense in real life. The atheletes of Berhampur Branch of
JAMS shown a Demonstra on on Taekwondo and Self Defence techniques to the public.

Demonstration on Sishu Mahotshava at Hinjilicut
(November - 2019)

Lakshmi Nrusingh Kalamandir invited JAMS to perform a Taekwondo Demonstra on in Sishu Mahotshava
on the eve of Childrens' Day in 14/11/2019. Our athletes demonstrated various taekwondo skills such as Self
Defence Techniques, Punch, Blocks & Kicks, Board Breaking with Kicks, Aerobics, etc.

Hinjilicut Municipality invited JAMS to perform a Taekwondo Demonstra on on Patha Mahotshava on

BEST COACH OF THE YEAR - 2019 and felicitated by Odisha Taekwondo Associa on (OTA) during the Closing
Ceremony of Open Odisha State Championship on 19th January, 2020 at Cu ack as he produced 03
Interna onal Champions and 02 Na onal Champions in this current session 2019-20. We are really very
much thankful to OTA for showing such honour and also feel proud for our Head Coach.
