What's this all about?

You'll find a collection of work all the way from 2010, including prints,
sketches, drawings, paintings and musings. An eclectic arrangement of
moments and expressions from the last decade for $200 CAD or under.
Initially compiled for #artistsupportpledge a movement to support artists
and makers during Covid-19 I've always believed in accessible art and
pricing pieces everyone could tap into.
I'm excited to share this work and grateful for the pieces that find new
homes with you.

old school OIL PAINTING

This piece takes it backkk to the painting studio
days while I was still in school. The piece
represents the first time I started to break out of
the traditional fine art frame work and felt the
need to experiment with mixed mediums. This
piece is an oil paint and sharpie mix baby!

Portrait Litter Love

A little litter and pencil love. Combining my
portraiture work with collected litter pieces which
include tea tags and cigarette foil. Both pieces
are framed in double pane glass so the work
incorporates the background it rests on.

'WANT' Portraiture Series

This portraiture series was created during the time I was
working a lot with wood. I love the way wood grain brings it's
own warmth and energy into the work. I was interested in
keeping the history of all the marks visible, allowing each
layer to breath and interact with one another.

paint. This piece is unframed so it's suited for any custom
flavour you might like to place it in, of course keeping it raw is
okay too! I had a lot of fun with this portraiture style and it's
one aesthetic I'm sure I'll revisit.

Paper Collage

Cuttin & Pasting that paper goodness. Recycling old book
covers, funky wall paper prints and anonymous post cards.
This piece was a fun venture in paper collage (which is
something I was a huge advocate of growing up!) playing
around with colours, shapes and texture to create an
aesthetically pleasing feeling. This is unframed.

Still Life Collage

Still cuttin' & pasting that paper goodness while incorporating
it around a still life drawing of a human skeleton, playing with
negative and positive space, repetition, line work and working
with up-cycled post cards, print, ink and pen. This piece is
unframed and can also  be trimmed if down if desired!

Map Portrait SOLD

I got my hands on withdrawn maps while still in university, I find
them to be intriguing adding their own language and information
to my medium application. At this stage in my practice I was
experimenting a lot with creating portraits that were both tight
and loose -here I worked with pencil and pouring medium which
has a resin like quality to it. As old maps go this piece poses it's
own wrinkles, folds and character.

Tape Portrait

And then I got my hands on tape. The nifty, crafty kind that comes
in hundreds of patterns, colours and finishes. Obviously I needed
to start experimenting with it too. This is the very first portrait I
added tape to, along with pencil and water colour. This piece was
done in Singapore at my 9 week residency at INSTINC Studios
where I produce a whole new series of portraits stemming off of
this initial expression.
