Happy New Year….

...from all of us at Mosman Needlecraft.
Having finished a few UFOs over the Christmas period, it is time to focus on new projects for 2013. For me it is finishing the Sollerosom project from Christine

Bishop’s 2012 class and my Beth Russell wall hanging of the hare, fox and raven. I am stitching it
sideways which makes it easy.
Have you ever wondered what to do with all those pin cushions and very small projects? Mine live in
a glass dish on my coffee table and look wonderful. (Well I think they do). A small collection with
many more to come.
The decorations from Prints Charming worked well because they were stitched in very colourful threads, but any sort of colour
scheme would look fantastic. I tried out various bowls and found that the glass one looked the best for my table. He who shall not
be named – namely Oscar the grandson, loves throwing them around the room. Hmmmm.
We have listed the major classes on the back of this newsletter.
There will be a few knitting workshops too. These will be listed on our website.

Heard in our shop...

• ‘I was wondering if someone in the shop could darn my running shoe.’
• 'This shop is the sort of place I'd want to be in if a nuclear bomb hit. I'd grab hold of one of the gorgeous little reassuring

grannies and never let go. Just take the knitting needles, dear. You can do it. Knit one. Purl one. Never mind the banging
dear, just concentrate.' (This is actually part of a review of Mosman Needlecraft on ‘Yelp’).
