Overview

SUNY Cortland and Corcraft have a
strong working relationship, so when the
renowned university began renovations on
its Moffett Center, the two came together
to create a modern and comfortable
classroom environment.

Corcraft provided more than 700 tables,
chairs and desks for 15 classrooms within
Moffett Center and an additional building,
Park Center. The result is a consistent
design aesthetic throughout the space.

Learn2 Solution and Spaces

The project revolved around Corcraft’s Strive
nesting chairs. Versatile and mobile, Strive nesting
chairs are ideal for fast-paced learning and training
spaces. Flip-up seats enable convenient nesting
for storage or transport. Matching Strive task chairs
and stools complete each classroom. Strive has
outstanding features and flexibility, and it meets
Cortland’s seating needs and applications.

For smaller classrooms, Cortland chose Learn2
chairs with Strive shells. With its fully adjustable,
dual-handed worksurface, Learn2 adapts to each
student’s personal space and provides customized
comfort.

Strive Seating &
Pirouette Tables

For larger classrooms, Cortland picked Pirouette Strive Seating &
rectangular nesting tables. Pirouette easily Athens Tables
reconfigures and nests for simple storage and
adaptability.

Matching WorkUp crank-adjustable tables and
Grazie task chairs are placed in each classroom
to meet ADA-specific applications.

Finally, round Athens tables provide a place for
both solo work and collaboration. Steel bases
are strong and sturdy, and they can withstand
wear and tear within a college setting.

Strive Seating & Knowlege and Expertise

Corcraft partnered with Original Equipment Industries
(OEI) on the project. Corcraft and OEI worked together
to ensure the fit and function of the furnishings moved
seamlessly from design to fabrication, and ultimately
delivered and installed all products on schedule.

Corcraft provided furniture layouts to ensure fit, egress and
accessibility and assisted with coordinating colors and
fabrics, not only with the products, but with the buildings’
interior finishes as well.

When asked how the experience went, Cortland
management said, “Cortland commends Corcraft for
remobilizing several times as schedule adjustments were
needed. Corcraft satisfied Cortland’s wants and needs
effectively, and it was an overall positive experience.”
