Summer Fun Academy: Ages 6-13

Proctor’s Summer Fun Academy is back and be er than ever! Our Summer Fun Academy is like no other. Fun Friday eld trips will include ac vi es like bowling, a Chiefs game, roller ska ng andiceska ng. Inaddi ontogreat eldtripseveryFriday,your child will experience an abundance of knowledge combining classes and recrea on.
A typical day includes out-of-the-box teaching in the areas of math, science, and reading in the morning and a combina on of sports and extracurricular ac vi es in the a ernoon. Sports help children develop physical and mental skills, get exercise, have fun and learn to play as part of a team while the classes keep their brains alive and engaged for the summer.
Children are grouped according to age. Lunch and snacks are provided. Camp hours are from 9:00 am-4:00 pm; extended hours are available at an addi onal cost if needed. Scholarships available for those who qualify.

Are you considered a “tween” because you are too old for summer camp but too young to work? Well, this is the camp for you! If you are ages of 14-15, Proctor Center will help to prepare you for high school, college, and the real world. We will take visits to local colleges, have volunteer opportuni es, and help prepare you for real life experiences. You will s ll have the opportunity to go on the Friday eld trips that are part of the Summer Fun Academy.

Automated Billing
• Your camp fees can be paid in weekly installments through an automa c installment billing process.
• Registra on for a minimum of 4 weeks is required for payment plan.
• Two weeks of camp will be charged at the me of enrollment into our automated billing plan.
• Installment billing must be set up as an automa c charge/ debit to a credit card or from a bank account. All automa c (or electronic) account withdrawals and credit card charges will be processed on the Monday prior to each camp week registered (7 days before camp week).
• Your signature and credit card informa on must be on a signed payment plan.
• Payment plan registra on is only available at the Noble Center (1125 W Lake Ave). THIS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE.

Camp Refund Policy
Please read the Refund Policy for Day Camps carefully as this policy is di erent than the normal class/program refund policy of the Peoria Park District. These refund policies do not apply to Peoria Zoo Camp.
• The Peoria Park District must receive a written notice of cancella on for Day Camp at least 14 days prior to the start of the week of camp that you are cancelling in order to receive a full refund minus a $5 service charge.

In the case of refunds for mul ple week discount par cipants, a $12 service charge will be per week per par cipant.
NO FULL REFUNDS will be issued if cancelling Day Camp less than 14 days from the start date of the week of camp you wish to cancel. You will then receive a 50% refund for each session with less than 14 days no ce.
NO REFUNDS will be given once each week of camp has started. In case of transfers to another camp within the Peoria Park District, there will be a $5 service fee charged for each child
per session transferred.
For Peoria Zoo Camp, no refunds a er payment is received,
and payment is due by April 1 or at the me of registra on. Addi onal withdrawal fees may apply to mul ple week discount
program par cipants.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available based on economic need. Apply at Noble Center Registra on Desk.

Is there a program o ered at your local park district that you would love for your child with special needs to be a part of, but they may need a li le help? Call the Heart of Illinois Special Recrea on Associa on (HISRA) at (309) 391-1929, or ll out an “Inclusion Request” on our website at www.hisra.org.
Upon reviewing the par cipant’s needs, HISRA’s professional sta will work to integrate a par cipant into a program, adapt ac vi es and provide addi onal support if appropriate to create an inclusive se ng and successful experience. HISRA provides all inclusion services at no cost to residents of its Member Districts. Please contact HISRA to learn about non-resident inclusion rates.

Then check out Lakeview Recrea on Center Summer Day Camp for boys and girls ages 5-12.
Camp runs for 11 one-week sessions and meets Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-5:30 pm.
Weekly themes give the campers a chance to showcase their interests and talents while
enjoying spor ng ac vi es, arts and cra s, and games each and every day. We will swim on Tuesday and Thursday at Lakeview Family Aqua c Center, weather permi ng. Campers should bring their own lunch on a daily basis (including eld trip days) and a drink and snack will be provided in the a ernoon. All eld trips and ac vi es are subject to change. Extended care and eld trips are included in camp fees. Parents are responsible for transporta on to and from camp.

Day Camp Swim Lessons
Don’t have me in the evening or on weekends for the kids to take swim lessons? Sign your kids up for lessons at Lakeview Family Aqua c Center (LFAC) that are held during summer camp hours. Our camp counselors will walk your child from Lakeview Recrea on Center to the lesson at LFAC. Cost is $27 for 6 classes. Lessons run Tuesday/Thursday/Friday mornings (lesson will be held on Wednesday, 7/5, due to the 4th of July holiday) for 30 minutes at a me and you can choose from the following lesson op ons (see full descrip ons on www.peoriaparks.org or the AquaPlex Playbook pages)

Our program provides a wide variety of ac vi es including: playing in our indoor AquaPlex, climbing our 30 foot rock wall; arts and cra s; health and tness, sports ac vi es in our climate controlled arena. In addi on, we access the Rolling River Playground, the RiverFront biking/walking trail, and much more. Counselors are trained in leadership, safety procedures, behavior management, ac vi es and supervisory skills. Children will be grouped according to age in 5 di erent groups at camp. Campers should bring their own *lunch, swimsuit and towel on a daily basis and should always wear gym shoes. Drinks and snacks will be provided in the a ernoon. All weekly eldtrips are included in the price of the weekly fee. Sign up early as spots are limited to the rst 88 children.

Ancient Oaks Day Camp is all about having fun and educa onal experiences in the great outdoors. Weekly themes re ect on a variety of fun events and plenty of hands-on ac vi es. Located on 320 acres, Sommer Park consists of woods, open elds, hiking trails, ponds and a neighborhood park. Ancient Oaks Day Camp is the best place to be this summer as we celebrate our 47th season of memories for children and adults. Our weekly hotdog/s’more roast and singing tree held every Friday is a fun tradi on for campers! Pre-camp tours available by appointment by calling 691-6295.
Camp fee includes Extended Care available from 7:00-8:30 am and 4:00-5:30 pm with scheduled camp ac vi es from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm each day. Field trips and bus/van transporta on to/from eld trips is included in the cost.

Camp Refund Policy*
Please read the Refund Policy for Day Camps carefully as this policy is di erent than the normal class/program refund policy of the Peoria Park District. *These refund policies do not apply to Peoria PlayHouse and/or Peoria Zoo Camps.
• The Peoria Park District must receive a wri en no ce of cancella on for Day Camp at least 14 days prior to the start of the week of camp that you are cancelling in order to receive a full refund minus a $5 service charge.
• In the case of refunds for mul ple week discount par cipants, a $12 service charge will be charged per week per par cipant.
• NO FULL REFUNDS will be issued if cancelling Day Camp less than 14 days from the start date of the week of camp you wish to
cancel. You will then receive a 50% refund for each week with less than 14 days no ce.
• NO REFUNDS will be given once each week of camp has started.
• In case of transfers to another camp within the Peoria Park District, there will be a $5 service fee charged for each child per week
transferred.

The Peoria Park District o ers a scheduled payment plan with an automa c credit card account withdrawal for camp enrollments. The following guidelines will apply in all cases:
• A signed agreement must be on le with the registra on desk at the Noble Center.
• You will be required to pay for two one-week camps as a down payment or one session of Camp On Stage.
• A minimum of four (4) weeks of camp registra on is required.
• Payment plan does not apply to Zoo, Proctor Center, Winter/Spring Break camps or Summer Band.
• Your credit card will be run on the Monday one week before the pre-registered camp.
• If your credit card is declined on the Monday before the pre-registered camp, your child will not be allowed to a end that
camp.
• The scheduled payments will be charged to your credit card on the dates listed on this registra on form.

Our talented sta and special “guest stars” will instruct you in drama, dance, and musical skills while you and your fellow campers write your own play to be performed at the Noble Center Auditorium. Other exci ng camp ac vi es include set and costume design, make-up skills, swimming and games. Hope to see you -- ON STAGE!

Let your imagina on run free with ‘hands on’ ac vi es in the ne arts designed to challenge your crea ve skills. Students will be separated into age appropriate groups and skill levels. Calling all Zooper Campers! Peoria Zoo is your headquarters for learning about the incredible super powers animal possess! From ying and shape shi ing to incredible feats of strength and the ability to live in space, we will explore the amazing adapta ons animals gain in order to survive in the wild.
Each weekly program includes: Animal Encounters, Science Ac vi es, Cra s, Games, and more.
Our Zoo Camp sessions are designed to meet the needs, interests and expecta ons appropriate to the developmental stage of campers at a par cular grade level, so it is important that these guidelines are followed. Please do not request to enroll children in other grade categories.

Peoria Zoo Mini-Zoocamp

Time: 9 am-12 pm each day.
Fee-Member/Non-Member: $90/$100
Do you love animals, science, or just plain old having fun? Spring Break Mini-Zoocamp is a 4 day camp for children with a focus on learning about animals, both at the zoo and in the wild. Zoocamp will include animal encounters, science activities, cra s, outside exploring, storytelling, games, and more! Bring a sack lunch; snack and drink provided. Min/Max: 5/36

Proctor Center
Basketball Camp
Ages 8-14
Time: 9 am-12 pm each day.

Instruction will include shooting,
dribbling, passing and defense.
In addition to the basketball instruction, prominent speakers are brought in to give everyday life skills to each participant. A t-shirt and certi cate will be given to all participants of the camp.
