Company Pride and Endurance Transform Bayfront Park

A collage of color covered Bayfront Park when 26,626
runners, representing 860 companies participated
in the annual Mercedes-Benz Miami Corporate

Kelly Tractor employees also took part in this great
event. Under the leadership of Mabel Beltran, captain
of the team, wearing bright neon green t-shirts, our 23
Kelly participants merged into the big crowd of runners
determined to capture a place in the finish line.

Our congratulations to the top five runners from the Kelly
team: First place: Gabriel Suarez, Industrial Lift Division,
Second Place: Argelio Beltran, Kelly’s guest (Mabel
Beltran’s husband), Third place: Rick Chaser UED, Fourth
place: Ken Chaiser (Kelly’s guest) and Fifth place: William

to share with coworkers and build company spirit. Our hats
off to each of the participants whether runners or walkers.

company picnic - celebrating Kelly’s 83rd birthday

The annual Kelly Tractor Co picnic took place on Saturday,
April 9th at John Stretch Park, near Clewiston. We had a great
turn out with employees from our various branches. In addition
to the amenities offered by the park, we had music, games
for all ages, bounce house for the kids, rock climbing and
a selfie booth. The menu included a delicious barbecue of
chicken, steak, ribs and a selection of desserts as well as
funnel cakes, snow cones, fresh popcorn and cotton candy.
As we celebrated the 83rd Anniversary of the company, all
attendants enjoyed a delicious cake and participated in a
raffle with some great prizes.

first responder dallan jimenez

Dallan jimenez S afety is a top priority at Kelly Tractor Co. While we continue to
aggressively identify and correct potential safety hazards throughout
our organization, unfortunately accidents do occur. Correct response
to these incidents is critical to ensure the best possible outcome.

Dallan Jimenez is the Miami UED rental coordinator. Dallan acted as
first responder to two separate potentially life threatening accidents
that occurred at our UED Miami facility. The first occurred in our service
department when a large hydraulic hammer crushed a technician’s foot.
The second occurred when a customer flipped his mini-excavator while
offloading it from his trailer, pinning his leg under the machine.

In spite of all the panic and confusion during each of these incidents, Dallan
calmly took charge. He calmed the victim and administered proper aid while
ensuring that emergency responders were contacted. Most importantly, he
prevented others, though well meaning, from administering aid that could
have caused more harm.

Please join us in extending our appreciation and well deserved recognition
to Dallan.

First Aid Red Cross reCertification Class

On April 13 at our Miami Facility, Roy
Subia, Safety Manager, organized
an American Red Cross refresher
course for individuals at Kelly Tractor who
had volunteered to be first responders, and
to renew their CPR certification. The course
was structured to help them maintain the
skills and knowledge they had learned
during their initial training.

The Red Cross provided two excellent
instructors who reviewed the basics
for treating individuals in emergency
situations, medical conditions and cardiac
arrest situations. The Kelly employees who
participated have been trained to save a life
at the workplace and away. They make Kelly
Tractor a safer place to work for all of us.
