THE SANDCAT FOV THE SANDCAT MK-IV SANDCAT - THE SOLUTION FOR CHANGING MISSION PROFILES The SandCat has built its reputation on quality, protection, design, and operational capabilities. First launched in 2005, The SandCat family of 4X4 armored vehicles has been designed to support a wide range of missions including law enforcement, Special Forces, peacekeeping, homeland security, border patrol and armed conflict. SandCat vehicles are also used for transporting troops, as a command and control and communication center, weapon carriers and to transport VIPs though conflict zones. More than 700 SandCat armored vehicles have been deployed so far in a variety of missions in 16 countries on 5 continents among them several NATO countries - The SandCat has evolved into a broad Family of Vehicles. The SandCat Mk IV is the latest generation of the Plasan SandCat family of 4x4 armored vehicles – one of the most advanced COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) chassis-based off-road armored vehicle on the market today. The SandCat Mk IV is designed to provide a superior level of protection for military defence operations and law enforcing units or SWAT teams which are carried out throughout the most challenging environments, urban arenas and rough terrain. The SandCat Mk IV modular vehicle can be configured to accomplish a wide range of missions, whether for patrolling, command & control, tactical, logistic, or weapons carrier capabilities. The SandCat Mk IV overcomes obstacles performing tactical maneuvers by utilizing its advanced automotive design features such as short wheel base providing optimal weight balance, and a powerful 330bhp 6.7L V8 engine.


DESIGN THE KITTED-HULL CONCEPT PROTECTION The SandCat protection is modular and can be configured between STANAG 2 and STANAG 3 (or equivalent), subject to payload requirements. Six (6) Universal Firing Ports permit the crew to fire their weapons from the safety of the protected cabin and the interior is designed to accommodate many different communications systems and other equipment. Two-zone air-conditioning is standard and options include independent heater, NBC filtration, FireSuppression Systems, situational awareness systems and either manual or remote-controlled roof-mounted weapons (RWS).
