G E N TI N G H I G H L A N D Genting Highland is not like Cameron Highland which has more attractions to relax & see the beautiful panorama of nature but more of a fun destination in a theme park. So if you want a place that is more fun with theme park activities, Genting Highland is the answer. However, since 2013 Genting Outdoor Theme Park has been closed for the purpose of upgrading the entertainment area here to a theme park called '20th Century Fox World'. Whether the status is ready or not is still a question mark. However, it does not mean that there are no other interesting activities in Genting Highland that can be done. Here there are also activities for tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature. You can ride the cable car in Genting Highland to the top of the hill. The view from the cable car shows the green scenery of the cold misty hills that will surely calm the soul of anyone who is in turmoil. 5 | VOYAGE MAGAZINE


CAMERON HIGLAND Cameron Highland, a resort area in the highlands that needs no further introduction. A vacation destination in Cameron Highland should be an activity that you should put at the top of your list in your vacation schedule in Pahang. Penang Hill Loop is one of the most reputed names in the trekking industry in Malaysia. There are many routes in which one can undertake this trip. One of the famous entrances is through Botanical Gardens. There is also a train that goes up and down the hill here. Highlights – The paths along the trail routes of this mountain were laid in as early as 1825 and this is proof enough to show that Penang Hill is one of the sturdiest trekking routes in Malaysia in the recent times. Apart from sinking in the natural beauty of these trails, you can find a temple, mosque, bird park, food stalls selling local delicacies and many more sights as you go up the hill. Facts – Western Hill is the highest peak in Penang Hill at a height of 2731feet above sea level. It takes about 5 hours to complete this route. Timings – December to February. BAKO NATIONAL Bako National Park is a national park in Kuching District, Kuching Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. Established in 1957, it is the oldest national park in Sarawak. It covers area of 27.27 square kilometres at the tip of the Muara Tebas peninsula at the mouth of the Bako and Kuching Rivers. With its rainforest, abundant wildlife, jungle streams, waterfalls, unique flora and fauna, secluded beaches, and trekking trails, Bako National Park offers visitors an excellent introduction to the rainforest of Borneo. The state’s mountain ranges belong to the Titiwangsa Mountains, a southern subrange of the Tensserim Hills that spans throughout southern Myanmar, southern Thailand and peninsular Malaysia, with Mount Besar Hantu as the highest point. TELUK KEMANG BEACH As port Dickson is located near to the sea, it is not surprising that the next place that you should visit is Teluk kemang Beach. As the most popular beach and the largest in terms of facilities and infrastructure, and where most hotels are, you can expect the area to crowded. If you are looking for family-friendly beach, this is the place to be as the sands are soft and sea current is not too strong. JERAM TOI WATERFALL Jeram Toi Waterfall is perfect for relaxing. Located in Berembang Forest Reserve, and only 28 kilometres from Seremban< the main attraction here is the four-tier waterfall and trekking trail to Telepak Buruk mountain. There are 50 camping sports complete with facilities such as toilet, praying area, changing room and boardwalk for campers’ convenience. You do not have to worry about food here as there are plenty of food stalls available. Children can also enjoy their time here since there id a swimming pool with water slide for them to have fun. Perak is a state in the northwest of Peninsular Malaysia. The capital city Ipoh is known for its British colonial landmarks, including a baroque railway station. Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Bougainvillea This place, named after Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah (the crown princess of Perlis), is a beautiful flower garden.
