The career I would pursue if not as a teacher

Everyone in every corner of the world has a direction in life and wants to be a useful
person in the future in terms of employment in the government or private sector. This is
because, if you look at the pre-independence era, every parent wanted their child to
study hard so that they could become useful people and get a noble job, whether in the
government or private sector. However, with the development of technology day by day,
this impression or desire is extinguished because today's young people who are the
same age mostly enter the business field, but this situation will not weaken me to enter
a career as a pilot. The question here is, what are the factors that make me want to
venture into this field of aviation one day?

One of the reasons I want to get into aviation is because I like to travel around the
country. Even so, apart from pilots, tour guides also have the space and opportunity to
travel around the world but I don't like the job as a tour guide because it requires some
skills that need to be added to myself such as mastering languages other than English,
Malay and Arabic. This made me not want to work in the sector because I need to master
more languages whereas the job as a pilot only requires English as an intermediate even
in the cockpit of an airplane. I really like to travel because I have the opportunity to go to
places around the world like Ireland, Kyrgystan, Turkmenistan and also to Pakistan
where to all these places if I didn't work in the aviation sector, those places wouldn't be
possible I go because there is no purpose but instead if I work in this sector I can spend
some time in a destination before returning home. In addition, I also like to enjoy the
beautiful scenery more - more so in a country that has four seasons because in a country
like Norway in the winter they have a mysterious green light called the Aurora Borealis
where this light only appears in the winter and can be seen easily in mountainous areas
such as in Norway. Therefore, I ventured into this field of work as a pilot to fulfill my desire
that is difficult to have in other fields of work.

Next reasons why I chose a career as a pilot is because of I have a desire to be a
pilot since childhood. I have always seen how much fun it is if I am the one driving the
plane and taking the passengers to their destination even though many people in the
community say that this job is very challenging because there are risks such as the ship
catching fire, crashing and so on, but all those criticisms or perspectives do not extinguish
the interest. In addition, it became an ambition because I was always inspired by the
stylish clothes worn by MAS or Malaysia Airlines Berhad officers. This is because, I

thought that if I wore them, I would also look as stylish as them. Therefore, it must be
emphasized that my childhood ambitions are the basis of my choice of work as a pilot
today.

Moreover, I can also get a cheap ticket price because when we work under an
airline it will be easy to get a discount for the whole family or friends to travel across the
country across borders. This privilege attracted my attention to venture into the field of
aviation today. For example, I want to take my family members to perform Umrah and
Hajj if I have the chance when I operate flights to Saudi Arabia during the Umrah and
Hajj season. As a result, it can reduce expenses to full fill the fifth pillar of Islam and be
able to use existing finances in situations and circumstances at other times, especially
at critical times. Therefore, this kind of privilege will only be available if I work in the
aviation sector so that makes me choose this job.

Based on the thoughtful descriptions that have been explained in detail above, it is
clear why I want to work as a pilot if I don't have the opportunity to work as a teacher
today. This is because, the government also has problems related to the teacher job
sector today which makes me want to switch to a slightly challenging sector where you
have dare to take an airplane across the sky to reach a destination regardless of its
location in the country or abroad. For example, the events of MH370 and MH17 left a
deep impact on the airline, but it did not affect me to continue to choose, work as a pilot
because it was my interest since childhood. In conclusion, I am proud of the
achievements I have achieved today, which is working under the aviation sector where I
have the opportunity to repay the kindness of my parents who have raised me all this
time by taking them to visit interesting places with me more easily.
