CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) technology is a simple yet powerful tool for editing genomes. It allows researchers to easily alter DNA sequences and modify gene function. Its many potential applications include correcting genetic defects, treating and preventing the spread of diseases and improving crops. However, its promise also raises ethical concerns. In popular usage, "CRISPR" (pronounced "crisper") is shorthand for "CRISPR-Cas9." CRISPRs are specialized stretches of DNA. The protein Cas9 (or "CRISPR-associated") is an enzyme that acts like a pair of molecular scissors, capable of cutting strands of DNA. CRISPR technology was adapted from the natural defense mechanisms of bacteria and archaea (the domain of single-celled microorganisms). These organisms use CRISPR-derived RNA and various Cas proteins, including Cas9, to foil attacks by viruses and other foreign bodies. They do so primarily by chopping up and destroying the DNA of a foreign invader. When these components are transferred into other, more complex, organisms, it allows for the manipulation of genes, or "editing."Until 2017, no one really knew what this process looked like. Kanazawa University and Hiroshi Nishimasu of the University of Tokyo showed what it looks like when a CRISPR is in action for the very first time. CRISPR-Cas9 has become popular in recent years. Church notes that the technology is easy to use and is about four times more efficient than the previous best genome-editing tool (called TALENS). In 2013, the first reports of using CRISPR-Cas9 to edit human cells in an experimental setting were published by researchers from the laboratories of Church and Feng Zhang of the Broad Institute of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard. Studies using in vitro (laboratory) and animal models of human disease have demonstrated that the technology can be effective in correcting genetic defects. Examples of such diseases include cystic fibrosis, cataracts and Fanconi anemia, according to a 2016 review article published in the journal Nature Biotechnology. These studies pave the way for therapeutic applications in humans. "I think the public perception of CRISPR is very focused on the idea of using gene editing clinically to cure disease," said Neville Sanjana of the New York Genome Center and an assistant professor of biology, neuroscience and physiology at New York University. "This is no doubt an exciting possibility, but this is only one small piece.” CRISPR technology has also been applied in the food and agricultural industries to engineer probiotic cultures and to vaccinate industrial cultures (for yogurt, for example) against viruses. It is also being used in crops to improve yield, drought tolerance and nutritional properties. One other potential application is to create gene drives. These are genetic systems, which increase the chances of a particular trait passing on from parent to offspring. Eventually, over the course of generations, the trait spreads through entire populations, according to the Wyss Institute. Gene drives can aid in controlling the spread of diseases such as malaria by enhancing sterility among the disease vector — female Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes — according to the 2016 Nature Biotechnology article. In addition, gene drives could also be used to eradicate invasive species and reverse pesticide and herbicide resistance, according to a 2014 article by Kenneth Oye and colleagues, published in the journal Science. However, CRISPR-Cas9 is not without its drawbacks. "I think the biggest limitation of CRISPR is it is not a hundred percent efficient," Church told Live Science. Moreover, the genome-editing efficiencies can vary. According to the 2014 Science article by Doudna and Charpentier, in a study conducted in rice, gene editing occurred in nearly 50 percent of the cells that received the Cas9-RNA complex. Whereas, other analyses have shown that depending on the target, editing efficiencies can reach as high as 80 percent or more. There is also the phenomenon of "off-target effects," where DNA is cut at sites other than the intended target. This can lead to the introduction of unintended mutations. Furthermore, Church noted that even when the system cuts on target, there is a chance of not getting a precise edit. He called this "genome vandalism." 6
Many students and parents ask for pointers and techniques to best learn Math. Here is the top-5 list which applies to any level of Math. 1) If you don't understand something, focus on mastering that topic before moving on to the next topic. It sounds simple, but it is absolutely essential. Let's say a student is learning Algebra, for example. Further, let's say he or she is having a hard time understanding how to add and subtract negative and positive numbers. All of us struggle with this in the beginning as it is a sticky point for most students. Some students in this situation, out of frustration that they "can't" learn this topic, will move on to the next lesson in the hope that they will be able to understand that one. This is a recipe for disaster. Math is very much like learning to read. If you don't know your letter sounds then you have no hope of being able to sound out words of course there is no way possible that you could read a book. All math courses are taught in a specific sequence because the every topic builds on the previous topic. If you are having a problem with a topic, continue working with that one until you understand it and can work problems successfully. Watch the video section over again, attend tutoring, read the book and examples a second time, or even get a totally different book to have it explained a different way, but whatever you do not turn the page and tackle the next topic. If you do, you will get even more frustrated and you in all likelihood will begin to give up hope. 2) Work example problems and check your answers to gain practice with every lesson. The entire premise of the video series is to "learn by example" and it is quite simply the easiest way to learn Math. After watching the section on the video and reading the section in your textbook, begin working examples from the end of the chapter. Make sure to work the problems that have answers in the back of the book, and check every one. Always begin with the easiest problem in your book, even if you think it will be too "easy" to solve. It is very important to build your confidence. This is why the video lessons begin with easier problems that no one will have any issue understanding. Gradually work harder and harder problems from your book and check your answer for each one. After working a dozen or more problems from the section (two dozen is best), you are ready to move on to the next section. Many students want to read though a lesson just to make it to the next one. You cannot just read a section in a Math book and become an expert on that section. You must work problems. If you can't work problems then you are not ready to move on. The good news is that working problems will build your Samarpan Science & Commerce College Top 5 Strategies To Improve Your Math Grades By Prof. Mr. Bhalchandra Parmar - Department of Mathematics 7
confidence, and confidence is 100% the name of the game in Math. 3) When beginning to work a Math problem, do not "map out a path from problem-to-answer" in your head before writing anything down. I see this almost every day. It is very common when someone looks at a Math problem that they try to "figure it out" in their head before writing anything down. Take Algebra for example. When a beginning student looks at an equation, he or she will be tempted to solve the equation in their head and not write anything down. Students are tempted to do this most often with word problems. Since a word problem is written in sentence form, it is common to think that you can "think your way to the answer". I will tell you that I never, ever, solve any sort of math problem without writing it down ever. What you need to do is begin by first writing down the problem. Then you begin to solve it one step at a time. Write down even the simple things. What you need to ensure is that every single step that you write down is perfectly legal. In other words, if you are solving an equation for example and you subtract "10" from both sides....write that down. Then in the next step actually do that subtraction. Then if you need to divide both sides by "2" write that down...then in the next step actually do the division. This gives you a paper trail to check your work and also it allows you to break the problem down in to bite sized chunks. If you can be sure that every single little step is legal, then you will be in good shape. If you try to do too many things at one time, which is common, you will probably try to do something lazy work and you'll get into trouble with that problem. 4) When you study and do homework, try to find a quiet place to do it. I was the worst offender of this while in school. I used to listen to music all of the time while trying to do homework. I'd also listen to the TV as 'background noise" while studying. Over time I realized that if I had a quiet place without the background noise, I could focus much better. What I found is that when reading, for example...I would have to read something perhaps 3 or 4 times if I was listening to something else but only once if I had some quiet. People love to listen to music while studying, but I am convinced that it is much more effective if you don't. Try to find a quiet spot in your home or in the library to get your work done and you will get your work done much more quickly because you'll be able to focus and absorb more. 5) If someone asks you for help, try to explain the topic to them as best you can. This one is going to seem a little odd for this list...but there is one universal truth. Those who can teach others have a true grasp of the material. Many times when studying in groups there will be one member of the group who is behind and doesn't "get it". Try to help that person, even if your own work will take longer. Not only will you feel like you are helping someone else succeed, but the process of rephrasing information back to someone else and breaking things down into bite sized chunks will increase your own understanding. It will help you understand at a fundamental level what the stumbling blocks are for the topic, which will help you as you move on in your math studies. 8
Physics is related to mother nature. It always teaches us various phenomenon of science. A different point of view to observe this phenomenon can teach us way of living life. Physics is not only a technical subject, but it connects us with nature. Physics tells us philosophy of life. It involves many shades of human life full of emotions. Few examples of Physics practical from B.Sc. first year are presented here as a part of this concept. In practical named Newton's rings, we can observe dark and bright rings using monochromatic sodium source having single wavelength. As it says that in a single life, we face days of joy and sorrow together. There is no end. These alternate rings guide us to be positive in all phases of life. But observing away from center, rings get closer stating that we can analyze the situation. We can easily understand that joy and sorrow are simultaneously part of life. Without focusing microscope, we cannot see rings clearly. It indicates that proper attitude; correct approach towards life is needed. If we are not getting a clear vision, we have to keep trying, focusing on our goal. Taking readings for practical called Resonator, we keep trying till we get resonance happening at a particular frequency. Similarly, in life, we have to make continuous efforts to achieve whatever we want. As we are not getting resonance at all frequencies, but it obtained at a matched one only. Similarly, we may get many opportunities during life. We need to choose a correct one and also wait for that with patience. We note reading of frequency only when we get maximum sound, in life, we need to do hard work in right direction. Success will be ours. Logic gates is very simple practical. But it reveals a quite deep message. If we get negative output for a positive input using a gate in practical as well as in life, we need to recognize the proper tool to be used for our desiring output. One should not be disappointed, but it should be thought that how these negative situations can be converted into positive situation. To understand nature, to get gravitational acceleration 'g', we do experiments such as bar pendulum. Known Value of 'g' is not obtained exactly sometimes but we must analyze the result and find errors. Similarly, it is necessary to identify our faults to be a better human being. Sometimes journey of knowing known reveals many unknown matters. So, the idea of looking at things differently would open new horizons. Be happy, Be honest and take interest in learning new things old way as well as learning old things in a new way. Introduction Coronaviruses are a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans and birds, they cause respiratory tract infections. Family: Coronaviridae Class: Pisoniviricetes Phylum: Pisuviricota Kingdom: Orthornavirae Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it's important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow). At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. The first case of COVID-19 in India, which originated from China, was reported on30 January 2020 by world health organization. To prevent the spread of COVID-19: v Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub. v Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing. v Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible. v Don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth. v Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. v Stay home if you feel unwell. v If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Introduction: In the era of globalization over a few decades, trade and commerce have become more and more internationally developed across countries all over the world. They create fusion, make an investment, conduct trade and co-operate over country borders. However, the countries have their own accounting standards generally termed as GAAP, in accordance with which firms and companies can present their financial reports. As a result of these diversities in the business language in different countries, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are emerging as the global language of business where the performance of the companies trading in multiple countries can be understood and compared using uniform accounting standards across the international boundaries. History Of IFRS: The IFRS began as an attempt to synchronize accounting across the European Union, but this concept becomes widely acceptable across the countries all over the world. They are occasionally called by the original name of International Accounting Standards (IAS). The IAS were issued between 1973 and 2001 by the Board of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC). On April 1, 2001, the new IASB took over the responsibility for setting International Accounting Standards from the IASC. During its first meeting, the new Board adopted existing IAS and Standing Interpretations Committee standards (SICs). The IASB has continued to develop standards calling the new standards the IFRS. With more and more countries adopting the IFRS as their accounting standard, over 120 as of April 2020, including those in the European Union and many in Asia and South America. What Do IFRS Mean? IFRS stands for International Financial Reporting Standards. IFRS are sets of accounting policies and rules developed by the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB). In general, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are sets of common rules, so that financial statements can be consistent, transparent, and comparable around the world. IFRS indicate how companies must maintain and report their accounts, defining types of transactions, and other events with financial impact. IFRS have been implemented to create a common accounting language so that businesses and their financial statements can be consistent and reliable from company to company as well as country to country. Samarpan Science & Commerce College International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) By Prof. Rucha Purohit - Department of Commerce 12
Objectives Of IFRS : § IFRS have been introduced with the objective of bringing harmony and consistency in the accounting practices and principles followed by companies of various nations while preparing financial statements. § Another object was to provide guidelines for companies and entities across the globe about how to prepare and present their financial statements internationally. § It also brings synchronization in accounting practices across various nations, so that the comparison of financial statements can be possible for those companies which have dealings in multiple countries. Scope Of IFRS : § IFRS set the rules of recognition of items as assets, liabilities, income and expenses. § IFRS provide the guidelines to measure items recognized and its presentation in financial statements; and § IFRS also provide the guidelines for disclosures of related items and accounting policies. Applicability Of Ifrs In India: India has opted to apply IFRS after making certain variations from the original IFRS (also known as carve-outs). In India, IFRS in their converged form (after required modifications) are popularly known as Ind AS. Each individual Ind AS contains an Appendix that explains the modifications. These Ind AS are applicable to the specified category as discussed below: In case of Companies: 1. Companies whose equity or debt securities are listed or are in the process of being listed on any stock exchange in India or outside India. 2. Unlisted companies having a net worth of Rs. 250 crore or more; and 3. Holding, subsidiary, joint venture or associate companies of companies covered in point (1) and (2) above. Voluntary applicability: Company may voluntarily apply Indian accounting standards (Ind AS). Companies on which Ind AS is not applicable will continue to follow existing Accounting Standards (AS) which will be upgraded by ICAI. Banking Companies and Insurance Companies have their statues and they shall apply the Ind ASs as notified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA) respectively. However, for consolidation, the insurance company shall provide financial statements in compliance to Ind AS for the purposes of preparation of consolidated financial statements by its parent, investor or venturer, as required by such parent or investor or venturer to comply with the requirements of these rules. 13
The ICAI prepares an exposure draft of the Ind AS based on IFRS Standards. After considering comments, the proposed final Ind AS is approved by the ICAI Council and then adopted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs via public notification. Problems And Challenges IFRS are formulated by the International Accounting Standard Board. However, the responsibility of convergence with IFRS vests with local government and accounting and regulatory bodies, such as the ICAI in India. Thus, ICAI needs to invest in infrastructure to ensure compliance with IFRS. India has several constraints and practical challenges to adoption and compliance with IFRS. So, there is a need to change some laws and regulations governing financial accounting and reporting in India. Therefore, several challenges will be faced on the way of IFRS convergence. These are… 1. Difference In Gaap And Ifrs: The Adoption Of Ifrs Results In The Drastic Change In The Entire Set Of Financial Statements. It Would Be A Challenging Task To Bring About Awareness Of Ifrs And Its Impact On The Users Of Financial Statements. 2. Training And Education: Lack Of Training Facilities And Academic Courses On Ifrs Will Also Cause A Challenge In India. There Should Be A Greater Number Of Well-trained Professionals To Educate And Train The Users Of Financial Statements For Implementation Of The Ifrs. 3. Amendments To The Existing Laws: Currently, The Financial Reporting Requirements Are To Be Preparedas Per Guidelines Of Various Lawslikecompanies Act 2013, Securitiesexchange Board Of India Regulations, Indian Banking Laws & Regulations, Foreign Exchange Management Act, Whileifrs Do Not Recognize The Presence Of These Laws. Hence, the Regulatory And Legal Requirements In India Will Cause A Challenge, If The Same Is Not Been Addressed By Respective Regulations. 4. Taxation Effect: IFRS convergence would affect most of the items in the financial statements and consequently, the tax liabilities would also undergo a change. Thus, the taxation laws should address the treatment of tax liabilities arising on convergence from Indian GAAP to IFRS. 5. Fair Value Measurement: In IFRS,generally the fair value method is used for valuing most of the items of the financial statements. The use of fair value accounting can bring a lot of uncertainty and discrimination to the financial statements. In India, Companies and Entities preparing their financial statements on the 14
Historical Cost Basis will have to face challenges while switching over to Fair Value Accounting. Conclusion: Lastly, we can say that though the implementation and adoption of IFRS are challenging and tough phase for the corporate world, adoption of the IFRS will provide more detailed insights to present and understand the financial statements in one global business language. Furthermore, it will also make it possible for various stakeholders involved in the process for comparison of the performances of the companies under one umbrella. 15

Even though, therapeutic proteins have a large influence on non-communicable diseases for ex. Erythropoietin for anemia treatment. Role Of Environmental Biotechnology In Healthcare: Pollution and the untreated waste are the major hazards for the human health. Environmental biotechnology provides a systematic platform that submerge the knowledge of science and engineering. Use of naturally occurring microbes in detoxification of harmful substances; complete destruction of waste through various biotechnological methods are the major benefits of biotechnological treatment. Strategy of biotreatment varies according to the physiological type of microbes used i.e. anaerobic, aerobic, aerotolerant or microaerophilic. In Other Areas § Bioproduction of sustainable chemicals, energy and other materials = artificial biosynthesis. § Genetically modified crops to increase sustainable food production. § Seawater bioprocesses to produce fuel and chemicals = New bioprocesses can turn some types of seaweed grown in the oceans into biofuels, providing an energy solution to countries that lack arable land and access to fresh water. § Zero waste bioprocessing = Reducing waste toxicity. 17

What is the feminism? Well feminism is the only one thing which can brings females together and it is the social movements and ideology that fights for political, economic and social rights for women. However, feminism always believe that men and women are equal and women deserve the same rights as man in society even though the feminists are males or females. Once in a while when I set on the bench of my balcony. I saw many movements on road many women go for shopping and do some other kind of work. Suddenly I got spark in my mind that; why only females have to do this kind of work? Why males who are unemployed do not do this work. But nowadays, many organizations handle the group of women empowerment and whenever females face any kind of problem, they are always ready to help them. Women empowerment is a same as feminism. Therefore, in these competitive and materialistic world women also get opportunity to work in multinational companies where males have to work under the hand of females because females always have a good communication skill, enthusiasm to their work and they can handle any tense situation in blink of an eye. Samarpan Science & Commerce College Feminism Chelsi Patel - B.sc, sem-v Here I would like to talk about the women who saw the bravery in their in their work. The first I would like to talk about Kiran Bedi. Kiran Bedi is a retired Indian police officer, social activist, former tennis player and politician who is the current lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. She is the first woman to join the Indian police service (IPS). And the second one woman is Kalpana Chawla. Kalpana Chawla was an American astronaut, engineer, and the first woman of Indian descent to go to space. She first flew on space shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator. In 2003, Chawla was one of the seven crew members who died in the space shuttle Columbia disaster when the spacecraft disintegrated during the re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. Chawla was posthumously awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor, and several streets, universities and institutions have been named in her honor. The late astronaut is recognized as a national hero in India. In Olympic field many women like KarnamMalleswari who is the the first female won bronze medal in Sydney Olympic in weightlifting category and after that many women took part in many competitions and all get success in their career. 19
Many films also launched in Bollywood and Hollywood which can encouraged females to do something for their gender otherwise one can rained the precious life by inspiring the biography of MarryKom who is boxer, Sakshi Malik who is wrester and last but not the least SainaNehwal who is first ever badminton champion from India. I love to dedicate a short poem to women: She has no identity, no value, If a woman has value, It is because of her body, A half figure with fake smile, Symbolic, silent, hidden, not real, Women are lost in history; I am a woman surrounded in night But I will fight the darkness, I will break it down, With the help of hidden power; § In the last I would like to say that Women's have the sole and body They are not a battleground. 20
§ Why are there so many dog's lover out there? Dogs share our lives in a way that most other animals can't, and take their faithful companionship for granted. The purpose of this article is to remind us of why we love dogs too much, to spare a few minutes and so spare a few words in praise of “Man's best friend” the dogs. § Dogs are friendly and they love Companionship, whose ego would not be gratified at the sight of a happy dog who can't wait to greet you the end of a hard day? Your dog waits for you by the door, face smiling, ready to dote on you, his best friend in the world. § Dogs are loyal and as pack animals, they respond to the presence of a leader-you! Dogs are eager to please you in any way they can. When you are feeling blue your dog will remain by your side silently comforting you. Your dog can also be soft and cuddly and ready at any time for a loving part and a reassuring hug. They're affectionate and they're soothing to stroke, plus most dogs can also remain calm when necessary and be tolerant of small children who don't yet know how to be quiet or to behave gently around animals. § Above all else, dogs deserve gentle handling and an abundance of our time and attention. Love can make a dog's world go round. When we give our love freely to our dogs, we receive their love in return. Dogs can truly be man's and woman's and children's best friends, and we should feel honored to be theirs, as well. Samarpan Science & Commerce College Good Books Khyati Patel - B.Sc, Sem-V Books play a significant role in our existence. Books are our friends in true sense. “No complaints, No demands” as it is known by all. Books also give us ample of delight and a reader might get addicted to them. People get to learn a lot from them as well. Books take us to a whole different planet of imagination and visualization. Everyone needs a little pleasure in life every now and then. We can get delight from various things. Sports, games and movies are some to add entrainment in our lives, but according to me, reading books gives us the real pleasure of life. When we read a good book, we find ourselves in an imaginary world, a book which is written nicely and very briefly makes us feel that we are actually present in the scene mentioned there, we just forget ourselves. Books are our best companies because it gives us knowledge and peace of mind unconditionally. Another reason because books can keep us productively engaged. Book also offers knowledge about different aspects of life. Books are well-known for accurate and impartial information. Good books build up in us numerous qualities. A man of broad reading is a man of traditions. Books make our life happy. Only a genuine reader of good books knows what divine satisfaction he gets from reading books. Good books develop our standard of living and improve our ideologies. They soothe us when we feel low and depressed. Books play a significant role in our life. They say that “When you open a book, you open a new world” I believe that everyone would agree with this statement as books have become inevitable to mankind. For the majority of people, books are part of their everyday life. A book is like a best friend who will never walk away from you. Books are packed with knowledge, insights into a happy life, life lessons, love, fear, prayer and helpful advice. Books have been here for centuries and without them, today's knowledge of our past ancestors, cultures and civilizations would have been impossible. Have you ever thought what would have happened if intellectuals never documented their studies? On the 23rd of April, the world celebrates world book day. The main aim of the world books day is to encourage children to the pleasures of books and reading. The reason for choosing this particular date is interesting. The 23rd of April is a symbolic date for world literature because it is the date of death for many great authors and poets such as William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, William. They provide a means of transporting these thoughts from person to person. Books can be a great companion. Major forms of books are novel, poem, drama, history, short stories, etc. but one has to be careful in choosing books what to read and what not to read. Knowledge through books helps us surely in some ways. 22
Good books enrich our mind with the good thoughts and knowledge just like a good friend. We cannot feel alone in the company of books. We gain the knowledge and learn many good things while reading the good books. The book written by good and experienced personality helps us to become a better human being and also inspires us. It teaches us how to serve the society in the best possible way. The books are the best time pass when we are alone. We pick up a book and start reading to feel relaxed and it also provides knowledge. Books are the best friends because they always inspire us to do great things in life and it helps us to overcome our failures. We learn a lot from books just like a good friend. Books can be good or bad, but it is our responsibility to choose them wisely. The friendship with good books makes you good person and friendship with bad books make you a bad person. Books will always be there for you in your bad times. 23
Samarpan Science & Commerce College Is Social Media Really Social ? Pooja Suthar - B.Sc, Sem-V st Life is running and running and running, we have reached to the 21 century. Now a day's science is almost at its peak and we have many modern technologies. Isn't it a great achievement? Yes, of course it is. We have explored everything from micro to macro. We have better space crafts and aeroplanes than they were, we have cool cars, we have micro level materials like microchips, micro – conductors as well we can use these micro materials in laptops, computers, smartphones... “Wait, wait, and wait. What? Smartphones?” Yes, smartphones. At present time smartphones are like part of our body and specially we find number of applications like gaming applications, knowledge-based applications, social media and so on. But now a days among these all applications, application which is affecting us harshly is 'social media'. In current age “can we imagine our life without social media?” No, we can't. Now social media is like addictive, as addictive as tobacco and alcohol. One study says that in this era, a person is spending an average 2-3 hours on social media while some are used to log in and log out 10-12 times in each day. People who are excessively using applications such as 'Instagram', 'Facebook' and 'Twitter' we find them becoming more used to compare many things. They are constantly watching what others have, they instantly desire to have these, while some are addicted to get more likes and more comments than others on what they have posted. After excessive use of these applications 'Do we get any reward?' 'Do we find ourselves more productive?' 'More focused?' Clearly, the answer is 'NO'. Spending our too much time for social media could be adversely affecting our mood. In fact, majority of social media users are likely found to report anxiety, depression, insomnia, lack of concentration and poor mental health. Certainly, mental health is more important than physical health and we are just harming it. Ever since we have started using social media, we have hundreds and thousands of friends on applications but in real life we barely have any friend. We have forgotten to give time to our family. At long last social media is making us unsocial. But we can fix this problem. If we want to get rid of all of these stuffs, we just have to ask ourselves, “what am I doing with my life?” Ask yourself again and again “will social media benefit my dreams which I want to pursue after one, two, three, years?” Again, answer will be 'No.' After knowing that this wasting of time is such a huge drawback so what is need of using it. So,let's minimize the use of applications and silent the notifications, let's go on a journey to find “a friend in need is a friend indeed” and the most important let seize the time for our world - our family. 24

Samarpan Science & Commerce College Essence Of Mathematics Bhavna Damor - B.Sc. Sem V Nature of the work Mathematicians conduct research to develop and understand mathematical principles. They also analyzes data and apply mathematical techniques to help solve real-world problems. Duties Mathematicians typically do the following: § Develop new mathematical rules, theories, and concepts in areas such as algebra and geometry § Use mathematical formulas and models to prove or disprove theories § Apply mathematical theories and techniques to solve practical problems in business, engineering, the sciences, and other fields § Develop mathematical or statistical models to analyze data § Interpret data and report conclusions drawn from their analyses § Use data analysis to support and improve business decisions Some mathematicians apply theories and techniques, such as mathematical modeling, to solve practical problems. These Mathematicians sometimes are known as applied mathematicians, typically work with individuals in other occupations to solve these problems. For example, they may work with chemists, materials scientists, and chemical engineers to analyze the effectiveness of new drugs. Other applied mathematicians may work with industrial designers to study the aerodynamic characteristics of new auto- mobiles. Other mathematicians may study theoretical or abstract concepts in mathematics. Sometimes called theoretical mathematicians, they identify, research, and resolve unexplained issues in mathematics. They are concerned primarily with exploring new areas and relationships of mathematical theories to increase knowledge and understanding about the field. Despite the differences between applied and theoretical mathematics, these areas frequently overlap. Many mathematicians, particularly those in government or private industry, will use both applied and theoretical knowledge in their job duties. However, most people with a degree in mathematics or who develop mathematical theories and models are not formally known as mathematicians. Instead, they work in related fields and professions. In the computer system design and related services industries, for example, they may be known as computer programmers or systems analysts. In finance, they may be known as quantitative analysts or statisticians. Other industries may refer to them as data scientists. 28
Computer and information research scientists, physicists and astronomers, economists, actuaries, operation research analysts, engineers, and many other occupations also use mathematics extensively Some people with mathematics background become middle school or high school math teachers. Many people with Ph.d in mathematics, particularly theoretical mathematics, work as postsecondary teachers in education institutions. They usually have a mix of teaching and research responsibilities. Some may conduct individual research or collaborate with other professors or mathematicians. Collaborators may work together at the same institution or from different locations. To Be Able To Do Mathematics Isn’t A Privilege. It Is A Choice. - Essence of mathemetics 29
Samarpan Science & Commerce College Superstition In India Devi Chaudhari - B.Com Sem V Science has made it possible for the man to reach on the moon. But living in the era of science, some of us still believe in the things called Superstitions. Superstitions are a set of irrational beliefs, rites, rituals or practices that are based on fear or ignorance that one held in spite of its evidence to the contrary. These are totally inconsistent with the known laws of science taking under consideration especially the supernatural things. The superstitions are baseless and foolish yet they are as old as man. The early man who had no scientific knowledge felt an easy prey to superstitions. Some of the famous superstitions are as: Black Cat superstitions, Marriage or Wedding superstitions, Friday the thirteenth, Breaking a mirror superstitions, New Year superstitions, solar eclipse superstitions etc. Examples: Cutting of nails at night, going below the ladder, Spilling salt are some of the other superstitions that are considered bad. We are living in the 21st century still we have such stupid and baseless things in our minds. We should develop a scientific spirit of mind and judge everything on the basis of reason. 30

Unemployment occurs when a person who has good capacity and skills of work but is unable to find work. Due to nepotism, natural calamities and many other problems, unemployment is faced. Due to nepotism, well educated, skilled and talented people are still unemployed by which the number of bank robberies, online scams, etc becomes high. Depression, stress and other medical issues happens because of the taunting by Indian society. Even suicidal tendencies are on rise due to social humiliation and deprivation. India was facing unemployment earlier also but because of Covid-19 pandemic, the ratio of unemployment has increased. Some employees are getting dismissed by their jobs and becoming unemployed as there is no economy which can support them. About 1000s of schools are getting shut because schools are not getting fees from students and schools are unable to afford salaries to the teachers. To avoid unemployment, the companies should publish the advertisements related to jobs through various Medias other than their official website. Campus placements and Seminars should be done where students can get knowledge and opportunities. The real talents should be selected not the 'Nepotism'. Thus, "WHAT EXERCISE IS TO THE BODY, EMPLOYMENT IS TO THE MIND AND MORALS. " 31
