Rationale This concept paper supports the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 initiative. It is aligned with student aspirations in the Malaysia Education Blueprint (MEB) 2013-2025 and supports five shifts of the MEB through the following rationales: Providing equal access to quality education of an international standard. Ensuring every child is proficient in English Language. Empowering JPNs, PPDs and schools to customize solutions based on needs. Providing a post-implementation form of co-curricular activities in schools that emphasizes the success of language skills among pupils. Establishing partnership with parents, community and private sector. Aim Enhance and promote the use of English language among pupils through co-curricular activities. Objectives To provide opportunities for more pupils to participate in English language co-curricular activities at the district level. To support and strengthen the teaching and learning of the English language in schools. To promote an immersive English language learning experience, cross-cultural understanding and communication through the use of English outside the classroom. To cultivate and enhance language awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the English language among pupils from various ethnic backgrounds. To enhance pupils’ interest and motivation to interact in English.
