The new model follows hot on the heels of the MCT 1005 M50, which last year became the Chinese facility’s largest-ever topless crane. It shares the same capabilities but delivers significant capacity upgrades all the way along the jib. Like the MCT 1005 M50, the MCT 1105 has a maximum freestanding height under hook of 69.7m, a maximum capacity of 50t, and a maximum working radius of 80m. However, it offers a substantial increase in tip capacity. The MCT 1105 will lift up to 11t at the end of its 80m jib, vs the 8t lifted by the MCT 1005 M50. The newer model also lifts its maximum 50t capacity to a longer radius than the MCT 1005. When equipped with the full 80m jib, the MCT 1105 can lift 50t to 21.8m radius, a full 5m further than the MCT 1005 can handle the same load when working with the same jib. Bobcat showcased the new L35 small articulated loader (SAL) concept machine; the S7X prototype - the world’s first all-electric skid-steer loader; the enhanced MaxControl system with the new Kishi physical remote; the T-OLED (transparent touch OLED display) mounted on a loader cab and the E35z Electro-hydraulic Mini-Excavator with MaxControl remote operation. Testing market interest with new concept Bobcat showed the L35, a new small articulated loader (SAL) concept machine, which is an extension of the existing SAL portfolio to cover the market segment for high performance machines which are easy to transport on a trailer. The machine weight is below 2.5 tonne, which allows easy transportation and a high lift capacity. The engine power on the L35 is 57 HP, which allows for higher travel speeds and pushing power. The L35 is designed to be a tool carrier machine with high hydraulic power available for demanding attachments such as sweepers or angle brooms and it is equipped with a telescopic boom as standard to ensure a higher working range. World’s first all-electric skid-steer loader Like the T7X, the world’s first all-electric compact track loader unveiled last year, the S7X prototype is all electric, as it is powered by a 60.5-kWh, lithium-ion battery, features electric drive motors and utilizes ball screw actuators for lift and tilt functions. Together, the battery and electrical powertrain generate incredible performance characteristics, with instantaneous torque that is as much as three times greater than traditional loaders. The powerful loader balances sustainability and performance with zero emissions and is equipped to outperform its diesel-powered equivalent. This all-electric skid-steer loader offers operators a smooth and comfortable experience with minimal vibration and nearly silent operation. “The S7X can operate for up to 8 hours on a single charge depending on the application, giving most operators more than a full day’s work when breaks and downtime are considered. A full charge takes approximately 10 hours,” says Joel Honeyman, VP Global Innovation, Doosan Bobcat. The new electric product launch features a Side-Entry End Rider, a Center Rider Stacker, and an Industrial Tow Tractor. The new electric Side-Entry End Rider, available in both 6,000 and 8,000-pound models, is great for cross-warehouse transportation and order picking, increasing uptime while reducing energy costs with a host of features, including an automatic parking brake and standard power steering. This product offers operators a forward-facing position with a clear line of sight when picking and placing loads and features a unique multifunction ergonomic control handle. The three-in-one design of the new electric Center Rider Stacker offers optimal versatility, capable of performing the work of a center rider, order picker, and counterbalanced forklift all in one. With a lift capacity up to 2,500 pounds and lift height up to 72 inches, the Center Rider Stacker delivers the ultimate utility and value, offering lower labor, operational and equipment costs with increased productivity. With a towing capacity of 15,000 pounds on flat surfaces, the new electric Industrial Tow Tractor is equipped with standard electric power steering to provide operators with effortless steering, improved ergonomics, and unmatched control. The Industrial Tow Tractor includes regenerative plugging, which not only reduces energy costs but results in increased efficiency and productivity shift after shift.. Yale Lift Truck Technologies has launched two specially engineered operator assistance options to support warehouse and intralogistics operations. Available via its Special Products Engineering Department (SPED), the Reverse Speed System and Dynamic Pedestrian Awareness Lights, can be fitted to selected Yale electric lift truck models and may help to optimise operational safety and efficiency. The patent-pending Reverse Speed System is available for Yale electric lift trucks, which are well suited to indoor warehouse operations. As an operator assistance option, it is suitable for use in warehouses across many industries, such as food distribution, beverage manufacturing, or auto parts distribution. However, it may be particularly useful where high numbers of temporary or agency staff are employed, such as in retail and e-commerce warehouses, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations. The system includes a sensor next to the rear drive handle, which detects when a hand is positioned on the handle. When the sensor is activated, it allows the truck to reach full reverse speed. If the sensor is not activated the reverse speed is limited to 2km/h. Holding the handle encourages the operator to look in the direction of travel whilst reversing which is standard practice and important for keeping clear of pedestrians and objects in the path of travel. When the sensor is activated, the forward speed is limited to 8km/h to minimise operator bypass of the system..
