entrusted with responsibility to engage, grow, develop
and innovate the organisation. From a branding
perspective we aim to build greater awareness across
the state and position Dogs Victoria as leaders in the
industry with a strong membership base that is valued,
engaged and growing.
I was literally born into an events and hospitality family
so events are in my blood and I believe there is great
scope and opportunity to build greater shows, events
and benefits across our two sites and other events.
One of our first projects is to roll out a new look and
feel for Dogs Victoria shortly, and there is so much
more to achieve in the coming months.
What inspired you to get involved with Dogs Victoria?
Definitely being a part of the dog community, and
learning more about the passionate people that is
the membership base, but also the challenge that lies
ahead of achieving some ambitious goals that will set
Dogs Victoria up for stability and success for the next
50 years.
Explain your professional background
My career was launched at Melbourne & Olympic
Parks where I spent 14 years developing, learning
and growing into the person I am today. Managing
the Corporate Events Business Unit, which had full
responsibility of marketing, operating, sales, venue
management, leadership, HR, systems and processes,
this is where I found my unique niche career and
enjoyed the holistic management of managing
a business. I spent some time studying change
management and project managing a few businesses
through this transition.
Your favourite moment so far working for Dogs
Victoria?
Working with my amazing new team! They really are so
dedicated and committed to achieving success and I
love how we are all working towards this in alignment.
