Attendance: Mandatory with five allowable absences. More than five and you will be
automatically dropped from the course.

Tardiness: Since it is an evening rush hour traffic class, a casual grace period will be allowed for
lateness, which is to be used but not abused. If you are late three times, it will count as one
absence.

Testing and assignments: Fourteen true/false chapter quizzes, five true/false module exams, one
essay, which must be typed and double-spaced, and one Final Exam. Late assignments will not
be accepted unless there is a verifiable and legitimate excuse, which must be accepted by the
professor.

Electronic devices: All electronic devices must be shut off or put on vibrate during class time.
At times, you will be asked to use an electronic device as part of a class research activity. If you
must make a personal electronic communication with someone, you may quietly dismiss yourself
from the class to take care of the matter, and return quietly.

Online component: All students must follow the college’s procedure for making sure that you
know how to use the online component of this class properly. There will be online quizzes and
exams, as well as power points and other materials that you will have to retrieve.
