medical condition in a managed care pharmacy environment. Perform pharmacy utilization review of medication

therapy prescribed and monitor for contraindications, duplication of therapy, drug interactions and cost effective

drug therapy. Ensure that therapy prescribed is not contraindicated based on patient’s current health and medical

history. Analyze and trouble shoot medication orders that require physician intervention and help facilitate the

delivery of medication in a timely manner. Assist the Specialty Pharmacy with order review of specialty

prescriptions. Collaborate with the Lipid Therapeutic Resource Center and perform order review of prescriptions

Divisional Pharmacy Sales Manager August 1999 – August 2000

Supervised the pharmacy department for the Eastern region (Acme Markets) of Albertson’s. Oversaw pharmacy

operations. Supervised two Pharmacy Operation Specialists. Developed and

implemented quarterly pharmacy projections. Responsible for the marketing and advertising of the pharmacy

department. Supervised new pharmacy setup and design. Increased pharmacy gross earnings 69% over previous

year. Increased total pharmacy sales by 34%, and reduced expenses by over 3%. Increased total prescription

volume by 22% over previous year. Briefed the Senior Vice President of Operations and company President at

weekly staff meetings.

Manager, Pharmacy Training and Recruiting December 1998 – August 1999

Supervised eleven pharmacy trainers and ten pharmacy recruiters for the Eastern region of American Drug

Stores. Responsible for promoting American Drug Stores at ten regional universities and colleges. Oversaw all

hiring for the Eastern region of the company. Developed and facilitated all training and developmental programs

for pharmacy personnel. Responsible for all pharmacy marketing in the Eastern region of the company, including

such activities as Flu Vaccination Program, Health Awareness Screenings, Pharmacy Advertisements. Facilitated
the region’s drug utilization review system (Rx View) which monitors therapeutic duplication, drug interactions,

Supervised pharmacies throughout southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Launched 23 new pharmacies, which

included design layout, opening promotions, and public relations. Decreased pharmacy inventory by 30% while

increasing inventory turns by 57%. Supervised pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in operational standards.

Decreased labor cost per prescription from $11.31 to $8.59 (24%) while increasing prescription volume by 76%

and gross margin by 4%. Achieved the lowest attrition rate within the pharmacy department. Responsible for

pharmacy buy-outs.

Pharmacist/Assistant Manager August 1991 - July 1993

Assisted in managing an independent unit of a large pharmacy retail firm. Managed retail operations including

supervision of store personnel. Prepared and processed third-party insurance reject claims. Responsible for

merchandising the entire store. Decreased store inventory by 10% while increasing store profits by 19% and
