Adultery- Hester committed adultery.

Bosom- Hester wore a scarlet letter on her bosom.

Chillingworth- Chillingworth was Hester’s husband.

Dimmesdale- Dimmesdale was Pearl’s dad.

Evil- many people saw pearl as evil.

Faith- this is what the people had in the book because they were
religious

Gesture- chillingworth did a gesture at the beginning of the
book, telling hester not to say a word.

Hester- this was the main character

Iniquitous- Hester was sinful and Pearl was evil

Jealous- Roger was jealous that Hester liked another guy.

Kill- Chillingworth tried to slowly kill Dimmesdale while they were living
together.

Love- Hester had love for Pearl and for Dimmesdale.

Malicious- Pearl is sometimes malicious because the activities
she does are evil and strange.

had hatred for some.

Yarn- Hester liked to do needle-work and used yarn to help make
clothes.

Zeal- The townspeople had a zeal for their faith.
