MAP MARKING

Learners were able to Identify various places present
on the World Map and understand how Map marking
in done to record useful information. They Understood
how maps are used to study the Human migration
patterns and completed the map marking activity in
http://mapmaker.nationalgeographic.org/ on the
places they have visited and lived in and wrote the
reasons for migration.

PUSH AND PULL FACTORS

Oakridgers discussed the push and pull factors of human
migration and reflected in Ms-paint Software where they
added shapes, text, background color, change font, font
color and added pictures from google relating to the
migration factors.

Learners were introduced to use of charts as effective
tools to represent data collected in a Table. Identified the
important parts of a chart and observed the changes in
the visual representation according to the change in
values. Learners used an online chart making tool to
create a visual representation on a data collected on
“Human Migration” patterns taken during various
years. They used chart-formatting options to increase the
visual effects of the charts ,added title and legends to the
charts.

EARLY MAN VS MODERN MAN

Learners Created a Venn diagram in kidspiration tool to
differentiate the characteristics of early humans and
Modern Humans and analyze the common factors that
lead their migration. They added text and pictures relating
to early and modern humans.
