SIMPLE MACHINES CASE STUDY

Oakridgers watched an interesting module on “Using
Simple Machines” to build a robot in
interactives.weebly.com. They wrote reflections for each
scene the saw , analyzed the problem and was able to
identify the solution as to what simple machine can be
used to resolve.

Learners wrote these reflections in kidspiration
tool and enjoyed the activity giving simple
machine solutions for the problems faced by
the character in the video. They were able to
connect to the functional understanding of
each machines

PPT ON SIMPLE MACHINES

Learners created a presentation in Powerpoint
software about simple machines with
description for each machines, added pictures
and its use with real life examples



RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE

learners created simulations to demonstrate their
understanding of the simple machines that they
have learnt and used a tool called Algodoo to
create a prototype of Rube Goldberg Machine.
