SAINT ARSENIOS

THE CAPPADOCIAN

Saint St. Arsenios the Cappadocian (1840–
Sophia 1924) was the spiritual father of Elder
Paisios’ family. He baptized Elder Paisios
Cathedral as an infant. Throughout his life Elder
Paisios had great love and reverence for
Miami, the memory of St. Arsenios, and it was out
Florida of this love that he compiled the book
"Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian"[1]

of the Muslim Turks. Under the harsh yoke of the Turks, the Greek

preserved in a miraculous way by St. Arsenios. The accounts in this

Since 1970, many apparitions and miracles have occurred near his

the Resurrection and had rejected the ancestral decision, they cried aloud to the Apos-

Χαίρει ἔχουσα ἡ Ἐκκλησία,

Having you and your three daughters, as a sacred boast the Church rejoices, and with
gladness she praises you, You are to me my pride and joy, as are the most precious relics

of your children; Oh Glorious Martyrs: Sophia, Faith, Hope and Love, intercede to
Christ our God to save our souls.

Today, the most pure temple of the Savior, the precious bridal chamber and Virgin, the
sacred treasure of God, enters the house of the Lord, bringing the grace of the Divine

Spirit. The Angels of God praise her. She is the heavenly tabernacle. .

ship for 2019 Please do so! Our Stewardship Year is in its 4th
quarter and we will begin our 2020 Campaign on November 17th .

Epistle Reading

The reading is from St. Paul's Letter o the Galatians 2:16-20.

Brethren, knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in
Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith
in Christ, and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no one be
justified. But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we ourselves were found to
be sinners, is Christ then an agent of sin? Certainly not! But if I build up again those
things which I tore down, then I prove myself a transgressor. For I through the law
died to the law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no
longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by
faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
