OLGA LEONDARIS

Olga Leondaris, has taught EFL classes in South Africa, Dubai, Brussels
and Athens. She has worked for the British Council (Dubai, Athens), in
state and private schools (South Africa, Athens), The International
School and The European Parliament (Brussels). She has been a Seminar
Presenter since 2003 for Cambridge Assessment and also, until recently,
a Team Leader for the board, training examiners for all Main Suite and
Young Learner exams.
In the past Olga has been involved in many freelance writing
assignments. She produced the Elementary teaching and learning
components for the International British Council Network English
Project. She has written for both international and local publishers in
Greece (Macmillan, Burlington, Cengage Learning).
She holds a B.A and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Wits University,
S.A), the RSA DTEFLA Diploma and an MSc in the Teaching of English
(Aston University).

ANGELOS BOLAS

Angelos has been involved in the ELT field for 10 years in a variety of
roles. He has worked as a teacher, academic manager, lecturer, and
teacher trainer in private language schools and universities in Greece and
the UK. He holds an MA in ELT, the Cambridge Delta, and is an approved
Cambridge CELTA tutor. His research interests are focused on the
implications of heteronormativity in teacher training programs on
learners’ motivation.
In his ‘free’ time, he enjoys networking with teachers from all over the
world, co-moderating #ELTchat , guest-blogging for ELT-related
organisations, and volunteering as a member of the IATEFL Conference
Committee. He is based in Greece but he also enjoys travelling and
presenting in national and international conferences around the world and
online. Among others, Angelos has presented at IATEFL Birmingham.
TESOL France, TESOL Italy, TESOL Greece, and IATEFL Hungary.

ΛΙΑ ΚΑΠΟΓΛΟΥ

Η Λία Καπόγλου είναι Ψυχολόγος, M.Sc και Οικογενειακή Θεραπεύτρια,
απόφοιτη του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στον τομέα
των τοξικοεξαρτήσεων, εκπαίδευση και εργασιακή εμπειρία στη Συστημική
Οικογενειακή Θεραπεία και στη Μονάδα Οικογενειακής Θεραπείας του
Ψυχιατρικού Νοσοκομείου Αττικής. Στα πλαίσια της επαγγελματικής της
εμπειρίας έχει αναλάβει ως συντονίστρια τον προγραμματισμό, την
υλοποίηση και την αξιολόγηση βιωματικών ομάδων εκπαιδευτικών, γονέων,
παιδιών και εφήβων αλλά και διαφόρων επαγγελματικών κατηγοριών.
Επίσης, εργάζεται ψυχοθεραπευτικά με ενήλικες και εφήβους, αναλαμβάνει
θεραπείες ζεύγους και οικογένειας.
Πιστεύει ότι η σημερινή εκπαίδευση θα πρέπει να επενδύσει υλικούς και
ανθρώπινους πόρους στην ενίσχυση της αυτονομίας του ατόμου, στην
ουσιαστική επικοινωνία και στην απόκτηση κοινωνικών δεξιοτήτων με
βιωματικά μέσα σε όλα τα επίπεδα και απευθυνόμενοι σε όλους τους
εμπλεκόμενους (εκπαιδευτικούς, γονείς, μαθητές). Είναι μητέρα δύο παιδιών,
ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα, την οποία αγαπά ιδιαίτερα. Της αρέσουν,
όμως, πολύ και τα ταξίδια κοντινά και μακρινά.

ΣΤΑΥΡΙΝΑ ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥ

H Σταυρίνα Κωνσταντίνου είναι απόφοιτος της σχολής Κοινωνικών
Επιστημών του τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας. Είναι κάτοχος διπλώματος της
Συνθετικής Συμβουλευτικής, έχει ολοκληρώσει μεταπτυχιακή εκπαίδευση
στην Ατομική και Ομαδική Συνθετική Ψυχοθεραπεία, και έχει εκπαιδευτεί
σε προγράμματα εκπαίδευσης και συμβουλευτικής γονέων. Είναι μέλος της
Ελληνικής και της Ευρωπαϊκής εταιρίας Συνθετικής Ψυχοθεραπείας.
Καθώς πιστεύει πως ο βιωματικός τρόπος δουλειάς είναι και ο μόνος που
μας οδηγεί σε μια βαθιά εμπειρική γνώση, τα τελευταία χρόνια συντονίζει
ομάδες και εργαστήρια σε διάφορους πληθυσμούς με σκοπό να εργαστούν
πάνω στα θέματα που τους απασχολούν με έναν τρόπο πιο βιωματικό και
όχι τόσο θεωρητικό. Είναι ιδιαίτερα ευαίσθητη σε θέματα που αφορούν στα
παιδιά και θεωρεί πως όσοι ασχολούμαστε μαζί τους, χρειάζεται να έχουμε
μια καλή επαφή με τον εαυτό μας για να μπορούμε να ερχόμαστε σε
ουσιαστική επαφή με τα παιδιά τα οποία διδάσκουμε. Αγαπάει το
διάβασμα, τα ταξίδια και τις μεγάλες βόλτες στον ήλιο με καλή παρέα.

MARIA DAVOU

Maria is a teacher, teacher trainer and researcher. She has an MA in TESOL,
St Michael’s College, Vermont, US and studied for a PhD in Applied
Linguistics at Lancaster University, UK. She is now completing her
Doctorate degree in Athens. She has more than twenty years experience in
teaching, teacher training and syllabus design in Greece, the UK and the US.
She has given a number of talks in conferences all over the world.
Maria strongly believes that teachers need to re-consider their role in
education and learn a lot from their learners. She promotes educational
values that have to do with freedom of the individual, student-centered
methodologies, respect for the rights of children and the student’s voice in
the classroom and the community, multicultural and multilingual
environments. Maria works against fascism, racism, nationalism, fanaticism,
violence and hate speech. She loves learning languages, traveling,
tweeting, facebooking, having coffee, eating chocolate and long
discussions with friends!

CHRIS PYE

Chris is a teacher & teacher-trainer who has been working in EFL for more
than 20 years. He started out his career in Leicester, UK where he gained
an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, before working as a tutor at the
University. Since he has been in Greece, Chris has worked as a senior
teacher at a well-established language institution with particular
responsibility for the establishment of a branch aimed at adults.
Chris’ main area of interest is maximising effective oral interaction in the
classroom and how the teacher can best juggle the many different roles
they have to play in the communicative classroom. Also, Chris offers advice
on EAP and how teachers can develop their students’ study skills. Outside
of work, Chris is a man of simple pleasures, he loves sport, especially
tennis, he is an ever-improving chef and his children have seen that his
talents with Lego know no limits!
