Grant. He surrendered at the end of
the end of the Civil War. He
Was the greatest of the of the
Confederacy soldiers.



BEFORE WAR

He was against slavery but still joined
the Confederacy. He was loyal to Virginia
He joined the Confederacy because he wanted
to protect his home town.







END OF THE CIVIL WAR

Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S.
Grant. He lost. He surrendered and that
was the end of the Civil War.
He will be known in USA history
forever.
