NOTES

A NOTE FROM DIRECTOR/ FCS ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
CHRISTY McINTOSH-NEWSOM

Thank you so much for joining us outdoors at the Scandinavian Club, where we feel right at home
performing the music of ABBA! We are so grateful to be able to finally present this show which was
originally scheduled for May of 2020. We held our first round of auditions in the summer of 2019
during our season general auditions, held virtual callbacks in March 2020, and were able to have in-
person callbacks in August of 2021, making this the longest casting process we have ever had!

We could not be prouder of this incredible cast, staff, and team of volunteers, who are all devoutly
committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and FUN experience. From offering ticketless check-in,
concessions QR codes, and socially distanced pods, to ensuring that our cast and staff are fully
vaccinated, safety has been our number one priority. We are so thankful to be able to present this
show outside, with plenty of room to get up and dance if you want to (because it is VERY hard to sit
still when "Waterloo" begins!)

A HUGE thanks to Brian and the staff and Board at the Scandinavian Club, our friends at the
Fairfield Museum & History Center and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and every single person who
helped to bring this show to life. As a nomadic non-profit organization, we rely on the support of our
community, so we are very grateful for the support that we receive. YOUR support in choosing to
participate in live theatre, especially after the total shut-down of our entire industry, is
immeasurable. Thank you. If you enjoy yourself today, please also consider purchasing a ticket to
our next event, ALL TOGETHER NOW, a Broadway revue that is being produced by over 3,000
theatre companies worldwide on November 12.

Please sit back, order a beverage on your phone, clap along (just not on 1 and 3), and enjoy this
joyful, pop celebration!
