NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you all had a lovely October break with your friends and family. We
are now in the midst of a very busy term which incorporates Hallowe’en,
Remembrance Day, St Andrew’s Day and, of course, Christmas. We are also
delighted to have our Councils starting again with vertical groupings. You
can read more about this later in this newsletter.
As ever, let us all keep Working Together for Excellence.

November Weekend Pantomime

A reminder to parents and This session our pupils will be attending a pantomime in

Digital Schools

We are delighted to share that we are now recognised as a Digital School! We were
awarded this on Wednesday 13th October after a validation meeting with Dr Katharine
Jewitt of Digital Schools Scotland. She met with our SMT, Miss Bonn, Miss McCulloch
and four of our P7 pupils to discuss how we use digital technology here at St Anthony’s.

Hallowe’en

On Friday 28th October we celebrated Hallowe’en in our school. Pupils were invited to come
into school dressed up for the day. Throughout the day pupils took part in Hallowe’en ac-
tivities in class. Our Parent Council also provided Discos for all classes throughout the af-
ternoon. As can be seen from the pictured below, this was a day that was enjoyed by all.

We are delighted to have our Pupil Councils up and running.
They met for the first time on Thursday 27th October. This year we have 15 councils
all made up of pupils from P1-P7. This is a great opportunity for our pupils to work to-

gether with children from all stages of the school. The councils this year are:
