ST ANTHONY’S PRIMARY
SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
DECEMBER 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
As the year draws to a close, 2022 has been another great year for all in the St Anthony’s
school community. The month of December has been a very busy one in our school. We have
had our Christmas Fayre, Christmas parties, P1-3 Nativity, P7 visiting Arran Outdoor
Education Centre and M&M Productions presenting ‘Snow White’. The festive spirit is
definitely alive and well here! As we prepare to enter 2023, I would like to wish everyone a
safe, happy and Holy Christmas and we look forward to welcoming our children back in
January.
As ever, let us all keep Working Together
for Excellence.
Kind regards
Shirley May Carr
P1-3 Nativity
On Thursday 15th December, our P1, 2 and 3 pupils performed their Nativity, “I’m Gonna
Shine!” It was an amazing performance, enjoyed by the audience. A huge thank you to all
the staff who so worked hard in collaboration with our children to ensure the show was the
success it was. All of our shining stars were a credit to our school and their families.

P7 Arran Residential Trip
On Monday 12th December, many of our P7 pupils headed over to Arran Outdoor
Education Centre. This was our first class in four years to attend this North Ayrshire
resource. They had a fun-filled week where they took part in Scavenger Games, a night
walk, tree planting, seal watching, a walk to King’s Cave and rock climbing. It was a special

Sharing Outside Achievements
Every week at our whole school assembly, pupils share outside achievements. To further
celebrate these successes, we ask parents and carers to upload pictures, certificates,
short videos etc. onto their child’s Seesaw journal.
This will allow us to showcase these at our weekly assemblies.

Car Park
The parking in our rear car park is causing some concern once
again. We ask all parents and carers to be vigilant and only use
the designated parking spaces and drop off zones.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting the safe use of the car
parking facilities.
